does this game have raids or require you to do endgame or is it like guild wars where you solo with henchmens for missions?
hows the pvp like? is it a open pvp game or do you have arena tournaments that kind of thing?

1. The game has raids starting from level 20 to lvl 90. The lower level raids can be done with a small party, and the higher level raids require anywhere from 2-5 parties of highly stacked toons. There are several types of raid bosses: Field, Instance, and Epic. Field raid bosses you will encounter while you are out hunting and typically have a reset of 12-24 hours. Instance bosses can only be accessed by talking to an NPC, and typically have a reset timer of 24 hours to 3 days. Epic bosses are the most difficult raids in the game and require know-how and are usually done by the top tier clans for the specialized jewelery they drop. They typically have a 2-12 day respawn.
2. The game is technically open pvp. However, 80% of the population is carebear and doesn't like to pvp. Pvp is non-existent at lower levels, and only picks up later in the game if you join a clan that has active wars. You can easily go around and pick fights with anyone you see, but be wary that you may easily die or accidently pk them causing you to go chaotic (red name). After 5 pks you have the chance to randomly drop your gear, so it isn't advised if you cannot easily replace any of your items.
The game also has tournament based competitions once you've reached noblesse status called the Olympiad. You can sign to fight your own class (you'd be waiting a while) or for Open competition where you'll fight any class. The end result of the tournament is to collect as many olympiad points as possible to become a hero. A hero gets a universal shout, a hero weapon, a hero circlet, and a bright shiny aura. Heroes are typically decided by the top tier clans by feeding a specific individual by restarting within the Olympiad. There are specific classes that do better in the Olympiad, and are able to farm open. They then take those points and create feeding waves to pass to their clannie going for hero. Most farmers are lvl 85 with highly enchanted skills, with 300 element vesper weapons, full boss jewels, and fully elemented armor pieces.

The game is totaly open pvp , however its not like old times when ppl used to pvp at low lvls , and at sieges ppl lvl 20 could be usefull. Unfortunality the game grows and old school ppl gets realy high lvl, and since L2 was hardcore many ppl stoped ,or started boting(the main reason why many ppl stoped palying)
so today , if u make a support class (like sws , bd , healer , Warcryer , EE ,SE , etc..)u start being very usefull at pvp only 78+ cuz of the buffs and heals deppending on the class u chose ^^
if u make a mage class at 78-9 , u get killed very fast by top players but if they dont kill u , u can kill any class eheheh and if u get higher all players are doomed xD. If u make a Fighter class like titan or tyrant u can lvl fast with solo . spetialy if u pay a second acc with a buffer since after lvl 75 u need buffers nowadays :P. Other fighter races like dwarf and human arent bad also... dwarfs arent much of demenge dealers but they used to make u rich... at old times , war smith was for ppl that liked tha market , only rich had it . but nowadays every1 has 1 or boted one.. and crystals are easy to get . so the game is different. But with bountyhunter u still get alot of money heheh getting extra itens from mobs.
Humans fighters are the most hard to lvl in my opinion. Dueslits are never invited to party dunno why , but at pvp hes one of the best. And the human fighter class i like most is Warlord , (u use pole arm and hit in area) when u reach high lvls with a wl ( i mean76+) u make aoe partys , and if u have a clan that gives u aoe aprtys , u guys will make aoe at very good places and make alot of exp :P

An end-game duelist (83+) is the best mass pvp game in the class. With a refresh augment & eva's rune they can do more aoe dmg than a nuker bubble.

Welcome to Lineage2! This is the most fun game I have ever played, and I have played games for a Looooong time. No other game has come close to holding my interest like this one (since 2004).
The world is vast, I have yet to explore it all. The game is complex and fascinating whether you like exploration, PvP, raids, accumulating the best gear, clan wars and castles, economics, gambling, roleplay...or you name it.
