missed my birthday buff by 2 hours on my main due to a combination of computer failure, some L2.bin error and having a life. i realize the appropriate place to QQ about stuff like this is the L2 petition thingie but i been around long enough to know crying here is usually more effective.

ppl that have been around since open beta didnt get any birthday buff because their bith was before the birthday stuff was implemented .. those vets didnt get anything .. so good luck with your request .)
Seriously, they should just make the bday buff something like those eva's rune packages.
You get the thing automatically into your wh on your birthday (even if you are not logged on), you can take it out and right-click it whenever you want to use it, and then you get a rune into your inventory which gives you the vit effect (and it then also cannot be cancelled away by some bored hero with a cancel stick who has nothing better to do than to run around and grief people, because his uber clan has made all competition leave game/transfer to another server).

Imagine if you started in beta and didnt even have the opportunity for a bday buff last year as it didnt start until day 1 of prelude....
They're creating their own huge headache by having the birthday buff the way it is. It should just be a rune or whatever in the inventory like Varaya suggested. I wonder how much CS time is wasted answering questions of people QQing about b-day buff LOL

Wife's SE said her Birthday was 4/11... she tried multiple times during the day to get the Buff, and no luck. NcSoft doesn't seem too concerned to help with much lately... She's been trying to do the Path to becoming a Lord - Giran quest, and it's bugged... and they told her they are busy with Petition's to please wait a week to get a response/further help? lol.

That is a great idea. My buffer (thanks God it was not my main) got pked before I was able to get her noblesee buff. I enjoyed the 5 min of my birthday buff that day..... lol.
It went something like this:
- Wooot, B-day buff for my SE. I am grabbing a pole and heading to FoG to power level her up.
- Ported Buffer to FoG.
- When blank screen disappears, buffer death. Pker went red and running away lol'ing...
What we learned? To get ur noblesse buff as soon u get ur birthday buff.... LoL
,and no, I haven't contacted NCSoft Support... I had enough with the Pker lol'ing to have them lol'ing at me ever more.....

So does anyone know the exact cutoff time from one day to another for Bday buff? Mine is coming up Saturday and for obvious reasons I am hoping i can wait until after the territory war to get it..

I have to agree with this. You have 24 hours to get your B-Day buff. If you cannot find the time during that day, then oh well, see you next year.
If it isnt my own fault because i forgot to do everytime /birthday then the problem is real life being in the way...
Imo, on the b-day there should be a item added to your inventory.
Even if your afk that day, you can still enjoy it.
Current system is just stupid. Not everyone can play 7*24...

i agree the system is stupid... i have proposed fixes in the past.
but the system is the system.
drug use is illegal in most places, you can use all the drugs you want but you must accept you broke the rules and pay the price when you get caught.

easy fix.... next time you log in /birthday every one of your toons, write them down on a post-it, program them into your phone's calender, when your phone beeps... log in b4 work and grab the buff...

I'm sorry, i'm dutch, we dont have stupid laws against drugs..
And next to that, I'm not complaining I don;t have it, I'm complaining that U can only get it on that 24 hour scale.
When your b-day comes, your family will give the present to, when your on camp or w/e that day, would it mean you wouldnt get it?

In L2, they could also make the present availible on b-day, and keep it availible untill next b-day..
So the next day it would be possible to get it too.

the system doesnt have to make sense, its just the way it is. so if you want a bday buff follow the rules for getting it :)
