it crashes the bacground window so if 2-3-4 box, ur boxxes crash out all the timeif ur running...
i donr have this error either since my boxes are statoinary... ty for 5 summoners and 2 gatechanters lol
black screening anywhere will Crit error people means porting into rift / valakas/ hb/getting pred/ getting summoned and coged on one box not just multi boxing and when gm move you around i crit error. so its really annoying.
2 boxing, OK, everyone does it. 3? OK, PP/SE or whatever. 4? You got too much money to spend on a game - why not learn to play an MMO and MULTIPLAY. You know, with other people. Other players aren't just PvP targets, ya know!

Nope... Im One-Client-User, and i NEVER saw this error :)
Please keep an open mind. Other players might be one-clienting also and could have gotten the error.
Just like I usually 2 box on at least one of my 3 comps (I like keeping a sell store up while exping), and that one never l2bin errors either.
Different ppl have different computer setups, and there is a lot of different hardware/software configurations out there. Troubleshooting for an error like this isnt helped by ppl just saying it NEVER happens just because they never had it happen to them...
Not necessarily. I have had the l2bin also, even on the comp I most recently bought. It went away when I tried Judas "uncheck decrease background performance" quickfix :D
Indeed. What OS are people using when this occurs? What background applications are running? One problem with diagnosing any type of computer error is that all of the background history of the computer must be taken into account before any resolution or fix can be created.
I used to work for a software firm and we used to test/design point of sales applications which were made in VB. We had approximately 500 laptops on site at any one time being run with a perfect hard-drive image based on a master which was updated nightly. I can tell you now that if a bug occurred, which wasn't related to the application, it was pretty easy to identify and correct for the next nightly build.
So, here you have it L2 peeps! If you want fixes as fast as you can take down a raid boss, make sure you are using the exact same system setup as the Korean developers and testers!
nope i have had it ONLY happen to me when my boxes are running behind me
The obvious point there is that that is what you are experiencing not others. Don't assume your issues are the same as others. It's similar to assuming your forum name should be taken literally.
Crash Happens When u RUn L2 in Window mode and switch to any other windows(it can be box chars window, MSN, Browser, Winamp, Foler Window, etc)...
It doesnt Crash when u run L2 in full screen mode and dont switch to other windows..
You write that as facts, but it isnt.
When I'm with my AW and PP grinding, while being on my AW, the PP crashes (boxed).
Then I do not switch screens or whatever. It only happens when I seem to be running from spot A to spot B (i.e. walking to a mob, or grind spot).
Seems also to be happening between every 15 and 20 min. Just on time for rebuff tho..

4-boxed doing my lvl 4 clan quest solo, never again :D

Well, in fairness what he described is what a lot of people, including myself, had problems with (crashing when boxed toon follows). Of course you're correct that not everyone has had that issue.
Strangely enough I was plagued with this for about two weeks (like crash ever 5-10 min) after that particular update removing the event. Then they did something and I have not had the problem since. I had even exchanged emails with their lead tech support guy, and he was surprised that it stopped so suddenly because he hadn't seen any info about a patch.

its because your computer is ..
while switching windows it forces computer to use its VGA capabilities more than normal.. sometimes its goes to maximum.. So client crashes...
and while running from one spot to other spot or while porting it forces graphics card because its reloading new huge amount of graphics in 1 second.. but it still doesnt not force as much as changing windows..
All crashes happen Cause Game is FORCING VGA...
did u ever noticed that crashes are twice less when u run in Low frame mode?
windows vista and 7 is forcing VGA more than XP. and plus Game Client FORCES VGA?
SO in windows vista and in windows 7 crashes happens more than in win XP
while switching windows it forces computer to use its VGA capabilities more than normal.. sometimes its goes to maximum.. So client crashes...
Then they'd be seeing a BSOD, not a l2.bin crash.

the only good answer (zomg i agree with smittie )
In low frame textures are smaller and take less memory, so i would bet on memory leaks XD
There are (were?) crashes resulting from resource leaks (on my notebook with Intel graphics, for example), but I doubt that there are no other reasons.
