Not at all. The bit in the terms about 'using your likeness' is usually in the case of other types of contests, but not this one. We will post your server and character name, similar to how we are posting the winners of the Tour of Aden Contest (http://www.lineage2.com/archive/2010/03/tour_of_aden_co.html).
The givaway entry periods for euro servers are at 10am PTD. Now, GMT = PDT-7 right ? So that means the entry period will be at 3am. I mean in the middle of the night ? You gotta be kiddin.
Everyone should be able to use the World Time Server (http://www.worldtimeserver.com/meeting-planner.aspx) website to convert the event time to their own time zone. Follow that link, and in Location 1, put United States, Washington. (That is PDT, where the event times are based.) Then in Location 2, put your location. :)
How something that doesnt suck like an event. Its not that difficult to send a serverwide message and random from tells...i would hardly call that an event. Not that this is bad, but it is hardly an event as we have all been waiting for. We havent had an event since Feb 14th...going on 3+ months.
Maybe I am missing something here, but it seems you had a look at the players who received the weapons during the last Vesper giveaway and were easily able to figure out that some of them were botters. So why were those players in the game and botting in the first place? Shouldn't you have been able to identify those botters sooner than the event, using the same checks? :confused:

Although the race needs to be speeded up. It takes to long for the ones that are botting to be banned. Atleast from what i can see and figure out.
I seen to many botting toons and reported them several times, but they are still out there doing there thing.
This is not a QQ more post, it's just frustrating that cheaters should be able to do this for so long untill they eventually get banned some day maybe. Some of them might not get banned either because they are done already with leveling up there toons. :p
My only quarrel with timed events is that when I started playing Lineage II there were no European servers. If I was given free transfers for all of my characters and gear, I'd probably consider moving, but I'd never pay.

Well the times are designed for the population that the server is intended to house and set to best capture the highest level of availability. So if you are euro and on phoenix, sure it sucks but the server is designed for NA time (see TW/Oly/Seiges). The good news is you have a full week to make plans to be available during the mail time. So really no reason to complain about the timing.

You cannot write mails anymore from the community server thing, just read them.

Sace, no offence but 3rd party users already know how to send ingame mail to ppl who are in town :P and i belive us legit players already posted some topics on that issue on forums :P u know ingame mail for cheap .... and quick p....ing
Honestly, if you dont want to give it to a Bot, your chance to hit a legit person is waaay below 1/240.

Hey CAPS LOCKS WARRIOR... Guess what? It is on or after 1700 hours in the local times zones for each respective server. So unbunch those panties and take a chill pill. Now, if you happened to roll on a Euro server, but you live in the US (or vice versa), then that's your tough luck. Either way please tone down the cry factor, there's a limited amount of Kleenex in the world.

Ok, seriously. I wouldn't care what you put in the title or body of the message. The event states that there's a 240 message limit for the receiving toon, nothing more. I wouldn't imagine that you have to say anything specific in your message. Maybe say Hi to Sace, send her some arrows or something. Or if you're feeling generous, send her some thread.
There is actually a specific sentence that needs to be sent in the body of the message. It is announced multiple times while we're accepting mails, along with the character name. :)

There is no specified title. You can put in whatever you like, it doesn't matter. :)
What matters is that the FULL sentence must be posted in the mail.

that can change odds per server really badly
for example if on sayha they confiscated 10 vepsers from 10 bots
sayha will have 10 winners
and if on Teon they confiscated 24 vespers from 24 bots Teon
will have 24 winners

there was only 1 vepser weapon per server for the event on april 1 and only some servers had um picked up by bots i think there just giving everyone another chance 1 per server again.
Ever hear of the Police IRL setting up a "scam" where they send out a notice to people on the "Wanted" list that they won a boat or a car or something only to arrest them?
I'm really hopeful that 240 investigations per server are conducted.
Of course, I'm sending in my email, maybe I will be the only one of the 240 that doesn't get banned and will have a cool new weapon that I can never use...

Jeezes, use some common sense please, what do you expect them to do? Check the whole history of a char and also watch every step of him for the next 10 years? Come on. Maybe the winner is someone who steals candies off smaller kids in real life, does he deserve the weapon then?
Only 1 mail per character, but you can send one from every character in your account if you manage to do that before the mailbox fills up. Just remember that those characters have to have been made before April 1st.
Also, we check account for "history of suspicious activity," like it says on the event page. Posting any further details on how we determine if a potential winner is a botter would undermine our efforts to catch them in the act. :p
We'll be on Aria in about 45 minutes, and on Phoenix in about 2 hours. :D
We're all done receiving entries for all the servers. Winners will be notified privately regarding the release terms and their prize, and the winners list will go public sometime next week.

Well i had it all pretyped on 2 accounts than restarted to get a new char, and than typed it out and sent, but by the time i had the 4th one done it was full. xD

no matter what can be said about this event, it was a nice relief to have some GM interaction with the community, sort of.:p I hope the rewards go to some of the genuinely nice people that are still playing in our servers.:)

L2bin was messing with me last night. I've been 4 boxing for a very long time, and never really gotten l2bin other than when I put 3 chars on same computer. Last night one of my comps has 2 chars on it and my OL keeps l2bining everytime its time for buffs >.<
How about an event that gives dedicated players, who's been playing the game for more then 5 years, payed every month and never been banned or anything, a gift?
