Has anyone else received this style of email? Mozilla Firefox confirmed it's a forged website. So be careful of this bogus mail that's floating around The email is at bottom of this post.

Could you change the link in your text as to not display the URL in the message?

We dont want forum users to accidently click on it do we?
The URL which is displayed as text is a legitimate NC domain (but invalid page), however the hyperlink (<a tag>) in the body of the e-mail links elsewhere. Just like the one I've put below...

http://www.google.com (http://www.yahoo.com)

Always check the URL in the Address Bar or when hovering your mouse over the link (normally shows in the bottom left corner of your browser) if you are unsure. If you are still unsure, go to the URL manually.

Even that cannot be trusted as the hover text can be altered too with HTML, best bet is to copy the link and paste it in notepad to see if it is legit
No - Firefox, I know for sure, will always display the link which you will be directed to when clicked on. If that page has a re-direct afterwards, then that has nothing to do with the original link. If you see http://www.ncsoft.com in the status bar of your browser, then no matter where you'll be re-directed to after that, you know for sure that it's an NCsoft domain to begin with, therefore very very probably, legitimate. Phishers can't put re-directs on NC's domain, so you'll be pretty safe!
best thing is to never ever follow links from a email.
If you **** lineage 2 accounts to feed your family......

You might be a 3rd world country.

I love your sig Red.

Like I already stated ,firefox will block you from going to that site and it informs you the sites not legit. I already had it checked before I posted,

Figured it best to check because some folks on these boards and in game would love to give ncsoft bogus info to get players banned.

If you think Firefox does that "for sure" then I think highly less of you as I thought you had a bigger clue than that.
I don't have any numbers on how many mails i got because my WOW and AION accounts have been compromized or been involved in RMT and that i need to log in and confirm some information.

I have ignored them all because i don't play any of those games. :)

There are alot of pishing mails floating around out there so be aware.

I even got a mail in german, even though i'm not german. :p

Show me such a link and I'll retract my statement.
I got one for Wow last week. Never would play it. lol

You haven't seen the other things Eamonn has said or done to question the validity or existence of his intelligence. I'm not surprised he actually thought it MIGHT be real.
i've been around for longer than this forum account so i've seen a lot of things

as for those wow/aion/blizzard emails... wait till you get one that mentions both wow and aion and tells you to login to your ncsoft master account via their link. i actually laughed so hard i needed to leave the room for a smoke so i didnt wake the house up which resulted in me waking the dogs in the neighbouring houses up along with those within my house, boy was i popular :(

How about make a thread devoted to that please. I knew it was fake when i saw it. I posted this so the young kids who play and don't have english as a 1st language are warned about it.

What does insulting each other back and forth and claiming 1 is smarter than the other proove? You and Smittie need to stop stinking up the boards with insult after insult because it's gotten really freaking old.
