One my clannies got hacked last saturday. Has sent in over 10 tickets, and was on the phone for 2 hours last night and still has no access to account.
Love how the hackers have more rights then the original account owner.

Hacked accounts must be gone.. they dont have to return your account or block char..

That's because 99.9% of people who claimed their account was hacked, really wasn't. Either was a bought/sold account, or they were careless with their info. Been playing this game for 6 years now, and have yet to meet a person who was 'Really Hacked' ...

I have noticed most hacks happen friday night through saturday night because i guess hackers know there is no way for you to get your account frozen and pw reset until at least monday afternoon.

Well I too was dubious when I read this guys post. But then I reactivated my account on Saturday after an absence of some years, and guess what? My account has gone too! :( Yeah, I'd assume I had given out my password or something too, but some people (probably not many left actually) know me better than that on these forums. Reactivated on Saturday, played until Sunday, and now my account is gone. :( I've fired off an email to NCSoft, but I don't think they care too much, but I can keep my fingers crossed!

I play 5 years this game that helped me a lot in my real life because of a very bad accident i had in my life !!!
Someway someone placed a keyloger on my pc and after a weekend maintenance i loged in and saw the toons i had there naked with nothing on warehouse (the same on 2 more accounts of mine). I send a petition to NcSoft wright after and (i use that account only for safe warehouse)finally i got my items back .....i loged in game again from the same pc and then went to bed ,in the morning again everything was away again so i maked a petition again and finally i removed the keyloger from the registry of my pc that after 2 format was there (this hacker i found out was from german ip and did great job to destroy me) the answer of GM pommo after that was that he cant recover my items because only one recover can be done for each account. And i m asking :when i press play to my favourite game doesnt say somewhere on user agreements something like that...5 years of work just gone? i see my items being in shop around giran and cant do something? i have no adena to play no ss ,hp etc how the hell i will play???? where i m going to find armor to play?? only one solution left as we can all concider :donate (finally maybe farmer sites and farmers that nc cant do anything is the same compnay) that is just a thought .the farmers couldnt harm clan warehouse or items had augment. so i took my 5 epic jewels that keep long time in my clan warehouse and send them to my 2nd safe account i have.....(that was before find and destroy the keyloger) the got scamed and this account to and maybe they did something because my account got banned !!!!! after petition i got back my account and saw that everything was missing after 2nd petition for that again GM pommo answer me: all the armor weapon and jewels are in place but i can recover only two of the epic jewels (i m crying) i only got my baium frintezza and never got back aqX2 zakenX1 with answer that wasnt in recoveral state after that and after 5 years i quit playing but i dont cry for the time that spend on this but for the money because 5 years its 60 months of paying for my 6 accounts!!! I have a thought maybe ncsoft can place a code system for warehouse to deposit or claim items

It's not NCsofts responsibility to keep your computer clean of keyloggers.

Smittie just so you know I can't state the exact words said to me but there is a huge rash of hackings in the last 30 days.
NCSoft even knows gameguard isn't stopping the programs from attacking l2 passwords, it is a known issue which they are investigating.
Greece and Poland seem to be the target of many of the hackers, which might be the result of keyloggers installed on net cafe computers. So they suggest you no longer use these places to play l2.
So it is not the players fault. It is like accusing a victim of being , well they shouldnt of been dressed like that. I have no clue where you from but the victim is never at fault, its the person who is the criminal who is at fault. So please stop trying to blame the victim for the problems if there was no one willing to make viruses or trojans for l2 then there would be no victims.
It seems so many botters been getting banned they need to replenish their adena at websites through other means which would be my guess on the rash of hackings.
I still have my original CD, & jacket with CD key that I bought way back when L2 was in Prelude.
Plus all my info is in a word doc. "on a CD" & the info is printed out as well.
Not all of us HAD CDs. My game is a Beta key, meaning that I never had a CD, and the only place my CD key is recorded is in my PlayNC account. Why would anybody write it down anywhere else?

Honestly - it is not their fault that you were too lazy to remove the keylogger after the first time - NC can not fix people that have no business being on the internet in the first place.
In both situations she was 'Hacked' she had better gear following the ****.
People shouldn't get there gear back when they give there account information to clannies to log them in for FOG party. Then lose all there gear the next day. That's not hacking ...
Well it's been 2 weeks already, and still no sign of NCSoft helping me get my account back. All they have done is ask me for information I have already provided, and refuse to accept emails from my email account, since I no longer have access to the original email address. Why should they care though, I have another account now, and 1 subscription is as good as another to them. :mad:
