Great Wolf and a lower level char

So - I have a lv 56 Great Wolf from my Overlord, but i've been starting to level my Paladin again.
He is now lv 52, and im wondering if I can use the great wolf and level with the paladin now, or do i have to wait untill 56? Anybody have any idea or link to a site, that knows what to do ?

You can use the Great wolf when leveling your Paladin.

You can control it unless you are 19 levels under it i think it was.

yes if difference of wolf and player is the wolf is 20+ lvls above you when u summon the wolf it will say "unable to control your pet" and will not summon. I have a lvl 82 fenrir that lvls my 65+ toons all the time :)

Just curious about wolves, are they any good in groups? If you had a party, would it be good to have a wolves for every party member?

Depends on party size.

In some locations, and some party sizes, its just overkill to bring that much firepower...

But will it take more xp if im 5 levels away, than if im the same level as the wolf ?

ok here goes

the wolf xp is based on char xp so the less the char gets, the less the wolf gets.

Wolves are single char dependant so xp will not diminish or get better with more wolves in the party.

xp ratio:

1-5 lvls between them: 30 % xp
6-10 lvls between them: 35% xp
11-15 lvls between them 40-45%xp
16-19 lvls between them 45-50% xp

Do you know if the exp depends on how much dmg the wolf does? Or doe sthat matter?

nope makes no dif u could do all the damage ur self if u want too.
