Lately, I have seen far, far too many posts referencing the Russian official servers.
To those who want things to be like that, I say only this:
Time to move to Russia?
While I am all for improvement of our servers, and do believe there is much room for it, there is a fine line between riding a horse and beating it to death, casting resurrection, and beating it to death again.
Welcome to the NA / European servers. This is not Russia.
L2 in Russia is the same as L2 here, with the exception of the F2P vs. double XP for paid accounts and the stuff they sell in the game.
The reason why people talk about it so much is those servers are fairly new and the support that those players get is what we expect from any MMORPG we play - but we aren't getting it.
It's human nature to look for something to use as a comparison. It actually helps give people a better idea of what you want, mean, or are looking for.
I'd also like to remind you that you just made a forum thread about them... Indirectly.
because korea is the best and nobody know the others asia servers, and we are the worst server, so it is why people choose russia server for reference :)
The RU OFF GM's and their ban policy is way better then what we have here and there's no reason for NC NA not to take leverage from it..
If it wasn't for the Latency, language barrier and the fact they filter out non-Russian IP addresses lot's of folks would be playing RU OFF.. same with Korea if we could access their servers without having to have a Korean social security code lot's of players would have moved there years ago..
it's not about the grass being greener next door but all about the giving support, services and community and there's lots of room for improvement here.

WHAT?? Did you not read the post you quoted. The OP is saying that he is tired of hearing about the "Russian servers this" and "Russian servers that".
So he is freely expressing his ideas and here you are telling him to move to Russia because here in the U.S.A. we support free thinking? Your comments dont make sense at all.

Anyway: Sure. Admiring another game/server/lifestyle is fine. But don't just say "Do that!" Offer logic-based reasons and suggestions that amount to more than saying "I want to play RUS OFF but they won't let me!"
Besides, I haven't read about NA/EU players taking their PVP into real life yet. Sure you want to risk it?
wrong that did happen with some russian guy (dvp) who ended up killing another player and the greeks (netcafe players) tend to beat each other up regulary in fights as well.. that actually happened a few times when I had some grouped in a party.. chat went like brb afk, then 30min later they would be back..
so erm better not joke about it cause some ppl take this game way to serious..
but i think thats the point guys for us in NA and most EU its just that a game. To get the way they have it in russ and korea u have to have a group of ppl who take it to the streets in order to be noticed. Here in NA since it just a game, they treat us as its just a game to us.
Now not that im in favour of what happens when u bring it to reallife. But i think thats the reason behind not much support because we have no passion for the game.

You're a sicko. You mix stories of a russian private server* and make a very stupid generalization. You don't even see the difference with the official russian servers. So of course, you don't understand that NA/EU servers and Russian ones work nearly the same. There are differences, but not like between a plane and an automobile.

I have been trying to learn Russian for a bit now (I work with several Russians and visited Russia last year), maybe the Euro servers will do the trick for me since Rosetta Stone is too darn expensive :D

Yes, yes it is. But it's a matter of opinion. My "suggestion" is about as entertaining as reading yet another "OMG RUS R 4 GUD L2!" post.
You don't point at a plane and then tell an automobile manufacturer that's what they should do, because it's better.
You are quite wrong here. People don't point on planes and want cars to be planes. They point to another car manufacturer who got the car's designs by lisensce from our manufacturer and made a better car than ours. We just point to our manufacturer and say "Hey he made a better car than you. Try to improve it!"

reading comprehension ftl, OP posted about how ppl keep referring to Russian L2 and referring to how ppl that want should move to Russia. I turned it around on him indicating he himself should move away for the reasons you quoted.
