Pay as you Play

Hi Everyone

As a non active player of Lineage2 for the last 2-3 years now, I have felt an interest into returning to the game.

However I do not have enough time to invest in playing to subscribe for a month, I would log in perhaps 5-6 times for an hour or two at most. Not enough time to warrent the subscription.

I would LOVE to be billed on a Pay as you Play basis.

I personally think more people would come back to the game.

Of course I dont have the logistics of how this would work but Im sure it could be made to work, does any one else think this is a good idea?

Oh and I think Server Merges are a great idea! More people more fun!
I think it could work. But atleast 95% of the people playing are active either botting or actually playing. So the month sub will work fine for them. Tho I do think that SHOULD be an option.
Totally as an Option to Subscribing, sorry if I didnt make that clear. =]
The only point I would see from that would be to have my perma red back :D

Well the game mechanic don't support something as that as the way I see that, but could be a cool feature to have.

as an option yes, could be great for ppl like you that doesn't play much...

but for ppl like me that is almost 10+ hours on a day online(no, i'm not korean) playing, killing bots, expeing and spoiling is not a good option... and ncsoft will lose a lot of money if they change the suscription method to pay for time.

What do game mechanichs have to do with that? It's server-side, not game-side.
Nearly the whole time I am online, I am afk. That is right, I am afk asleep, whilst I make my money.... I am a Maestro!! Pay to play would be a nightmare for me if it was the only choice.

Pay to play would be a useful option for other playing styles, and the more choice given to players, the more popular the game will be.
I dont mean for them to change the current ways you can Pay for the game, merely to add an additional method for people like myself who dont play a lot but still want to spend a couple of hours here and there in game.
They have this system in Korea or China. But I don't remember if they have separate servers for each payment type.
movie rental or payview $3-5 for a 2 hr movie (5 hours = $15 -25)
Dinner for 1 at Applebee's, Red Lobster, Famous Dave's etc. ($8 - 25)
theater movie ($10 -15) for 2 hour

$15 for even the 5-6 hours you game a month is still a pretty good deal and on par w/ other entertainment options. its actually a much better deal since you have the option to play 24/7 for that same price.
all said and done i think NC would lose more money than they would gain on returning players by allowing current players to pay less.

believe me i understand the value of a dollar, but if you really hurt for money so that $15 is to much and your only willing to spend $5 or somthing you should focus on advancing your career instead of playing video games.
6 years of 24/7 gaming comes to $1000 or less depending on your billing options. it seems like a pretty good deal.

+1
Ok here is this then, its $15 for you in the USA, but in my country it can be any where from $20 to $28 dollars a month....

Still not a lot of money I know, but I would still like to be able to log in for a hour or two a month and not have to pay $25 for it, rather $2 -$4 for it....

/thread over
whatever...
I think also that you cant enjoy the game (MMORPG) playing 10 hours a month or less. This is about community, ppl all over the world meeting.
If you want to enjoy mobs killing and an occasional raid every month for up to 10 hhours, i think MMORPGs are not for you.
Besides, it does not have to be that expensive, by some TC online, you can get 15-60 days ones.
The current rates are very cheap, even for an eastern european, even tho there were times i couldnt afford to pay for other ppl as well.
M
if you play 6 hours per month and pay $14.99 that is only $2.50 a hour that is a very good price for entertainment.......just a thought
I prefer the pay per month over the pay per minute but I wouldn't mind seeing option. Choices and options are good, especially if it brings in or brings back players.

I also wouldn't mind seeing the Russian model of free to play but can upgrade to a paid premium account with double exp, double drops. Russian L2 is smoking hot. It would be good to see that kind of population and interest here in NA.

hmm they have somthing like this on NA servers too. lazy players pay extra to get a boost over legit players... L2Ru just takes the money instead of 3rd party providers.

Double exp is a far cry from botting.

you're comparing a legal paid service that ALL PLAYERS CAN USE to an illegal service that only 50% of players use at their own risk?

lol...
