me, i am as legit as i can be.
no botting, although i have known bots, and know that i have been in a party with people using radar...
but if you can't associate with these people, you've got pretty limited friend ability on L2.

Because you keep looking for purchasing everything on the list. Why else would you be looking for it?
Well, I just know sure, that I never used bot or radar or any programs and i never bought adena. So it is mean im legit.
So I play with this game because I like play with it. I'm very active player and i learned how I can xping fast in solo by my hands. I have 78+ Hierophant and 78+ Spectral Dancer I learned the macros what are need for control easy the buffs. I play in windows and change window in every 2 minutes for dances and in every 5 minutes for Pof. I'm xping by my hands so fast, that I earn faster new level like than the bots who are xping in 24 hours.
So the players who are using cheats are total noobs I think:
1. they can get bann for botting.
2. they are xping much slowlier too.
3. their pvp skills will much lower.
4. they will get much fewer fun in the game.
Somebody wrote, if you buy materials on the market you aren't legit. It isn't true. If you work for your adena example with farming KE or Seal Stones etc sell them and you make from it adena and if you from this money buy anything from somebody who is legit or not legit player you stay legit, because you earned the money for you item by legit way.

when they say legit, they mean the clan has a no tolerance policy about botting...
no, they usually say that they don't ebay (buy adena) which to me is nonsense...i don't think that it's possible to have all of that incredible gear in a short amount of time...without real life help.
I play legit all time... but sometimes i ask myself "why to play legit if there's like 1% risk to get banned.. I could be botting 2 weeks in the same spot and not get banned... why to spend 8 hours on a day playing fair if there's people botting 24/7", but well... I love the game and i love to kill bots so I preffer to play fair.
And I'm afraid to get banned because I kill lot of bots every days maybe the botters will report me as bot or as a bad player or whatever...
what's the point to play with bots?
ncsoft doesn't like that players buy adena, but there are still lot of farming parties EVERYWHERE!... go to any catas and u'll see...
c'mon... its not hard to catch a bot.. does it respond? NO!, does it/they do something when u hit them? NO!...
but as bots are more than 500.000 USD per year to ncsoft let them stay!
maybe its a real waste of time to play here where 60+% of players are bots... i'm so sad =(
I think the real question is how many accts it takes to make good adena.
1 acct ? its hard but doable over a long time. U have to split ur tiem in 2 betwen money grind and xp grind.
2+ accts? lots easier
with 4 accts, time in lvling em(i been at it 5 + yrs)
with 6 hrs a month work (2 tw's at 2hrs each, and 2hrs to farm oly on 4 soon to be 5 nobles, and clicking 28 cubics a day) i easily clear the 200-300mil a month and i aint even trying lol
so getting a bil adena for me would be 2months working hard, 3 months easy street money lol

Some time ago when bot-button was created, and free teleports for up to 40 lvl.
I saw "nice" train of bots in Dion.
They were doing quest.
Don't remember quest name.
It is (was?) repeatable quest.
Path was simple.
1. NPC in Dion (I think bard)
2. GK - DION
3. GK - Giran
4. GK - Giran Harbour
5. NPC at Harbour
6 return to NPC in Dion.
Quest done - profit 10000 Adena (?)
GO TO 1
Profit wasn't amazing but they were running all the time in safe zone :)
No risk being killed, no gear needed.
Only toon lvl 30 to start quest.
And they were running endless... few accounts?

Hell - minimum lvl is 15.
You can do quest endless - just to farm adena :)

When RU official servers started there were crowds of bots and legits running by this quest. Administration reacted simply - made all repeatable quest rewards 1k adena. Bot running stopped :)

Same, if you bought a mobile phone, you are accessory to murder against the ppl working in the mines in D R Congo, if you bought a diamond ring you are traf****ing blood diamonds, and if you eat you are guilty for the famine in *****.
Nope, it does not work that way. Your adena is legit, it does not matter if the mats are legit or not. It is not your duty to check every char, that is GM job. And that is valid for all you bots out there that think your cheating is justified because of such screwed "logic".
Besides, I have been and my clan is selling mats too.

When I made my main and ventured out into the dark forest I ran down to the swamp near Dark Elven Village. In that place I found the most wondrous and hilarious thing I've ever seen in my life. Dwarves! Hundreds of dwarves! All with bronze set and viper fang weapons. There were close to 10 dwarves per mob, all practically running on top of each other in a perfect little line! Too bad I don't have those screenshots anymore. I laughed so hard that my stomach hurt for hours.
I don't like botters, but in the end we all choose to play this game in a certain way. I choose one path and some other people choose another. After experiencing the bot-epidemic for close to six years now one tends to become immune. To be honest I don't care if people bot as long as they don't take spots away from real players and as long as I don't have to play with them or have them in my clan. They take risks for taking the easy way out. Some get banned, some don't, some get banned many times and come back again like a Yo-Yo.
I think it's pointless to have this conversation. There are bots in Lineage II. There are rader users in Lineage II. There are auto targeting software obviously. And probably a whole lot more that I don't want to know about. But seriously, what's the point of having this conversation when nothing can be done anyway. Besides, even if NCSoft knew all the names of all the botters in the history of Lineage II they will never ban them, because in the end the botters are also paying their saleries, whilst us non-botters just argue about it and give the GMs headaches! *Smirk*
Let's leave it at that shall we?

quest rewards 1k adena was made not by russian admins, but by koreans who are trying to make a good way for free-to-play servers, its a temporarily decision, not forever

Even so, when servers started, quest was giving its reward, hundreds of bots started to run by it. After some time reward for all repeatable quests was set to 1k.

There actually are honest people in the world. The game has been alive for years and i know that there are lots of people who have played since open beta. You are obviously a veeeery casual player if you think that in order to possibly level past 80 and get a hero rank you absolutely positively have to bot/buy adena/use radar to get to this area. There are hardcore gamers out there that actually play the game the way it was meant to be played,honestly. Most of these "companies" that sell adena and have bot installation programs are scams and make there money by leeching credit/selling ad space.Just because there are a couple thousand idiots on the internet that make a living scamming people and being **** heads doesnt mean that there is nobody who actually PLAYS the game.
With mine human-interface I'm not going do that quest for profit.

Say this on Luna and you will be ridiculed beyond anything you've imagined. I've been a hero once and believe me, Luna is a server of, by, and for bots and cheaters. I have been called names, PKed and harrassed in every possible way bcoz I kept opening my mouth in herochat about this matter. Luna actually ridiculed me for being legit. How about that.
I've completely lost my faith in L2 community whatsoever. Even if there are honest people, they simply get stomped on by a flood of would-be "pros" who cheat and are even boasting with it, calling you a noob. I am now subscribed just to kill the time before Tera comes out :) And then we'll see how many "L2 pros" transfer to a game which can't be botted. I doubt any of them will have the guts to play a game where it takes skill to play, not a bot client ;) If any so called "pro" reads this, I dare you to come pwn me on Tera, my nick will be the same ;)
