All servers will be down for maintenance Tuesday, July 13th at 8am PDT / 10am CDT / 11am EDT / 3pm UTC/GMT. Estimated downtime is approximately 2 hours.
This is just a regular server reset folks. Nothing new to report.
agreed i understand but my poibnt is OBVIOUSLY ncsoft korea does not view NCNA/EU in the same manner.
If u havent figured that out by now then whos really at fault? NCSOFT for having a policy u dont like?
No there is no fault on any one. THis is what they want to to to their clientelle. Im just say why keep crying about something that probably will NEVER happen? Why not just be thankful when it does instead of dictating ur terms to them? lol
See i beleive u should be thankful they provide the games they do. I dont question their strategy in the manner in which they provide them. There is no law stating they MUST adhere to certain coprorate strategies. They can do what they want. So the qestion is do u want to CHOOSE to be angry or frustrated? THats ur choice and has nothing to do with corporate strategy lol.
I once new a hotel owner who used a property as a tax write off for his other businesses. We were not ALLOWED to be at more than 29% occupancy...
So how do u know what their startegy is? maybe it is to give a cut down version to NA/EU there is nowhere that it states it is REQUIRED to be the same game as the korean version...
Not sure why people are all doom and gloom. NCWest is still profitable assuming they run their company right and dont carry too much overhead. Aside from a few support salaries and server costs, there is no significant expense. It cant cost more than a few grand to translate each update.

NCSOFT: Son, we live in a world that has games and those games have to be coded by men with computers. Whose gonna do it? You? You, second player? I have a greater responsibility than you could possibly fathom. You weep for Freya, and you curse NCSOFT. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know. That Freya's delay, while tragic, probably saved money. And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves money. You don't want the truth because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me coding that game, you need me coding that game. We use words like grind, craft, pvp. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent coding something. You use them as a punchline. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the coding of the very game that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said thank you, and went on your way, Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a computer, and start coding your own game. Either way, I don't give a darn what you think you are entitled to.
The NCSoft coder/translator/community manager etc. is PAID by us players a.k.a customers. If this was a free to play game then what you wrote would be the appropriate answer. ALTHOUGH, NCWest doesn't code the game, they just translate and make the corresponding changes.
If they want money it's common logic that you update, you keep a steady flow on the events, RESPECT AND FOLLOW YOUR OWN EULA a.k.a RULES which these rules DO NOT PERMIT the use of 3rd party software so, if the company doesn't ban those cheaters they think 'hey! I didn't get banned, I will keep it up' if you don't respect your own rules then do not expect the players to respect them either.
Also, if you want to advertise you have to do it in an appropriate way: TV, google ads etc.
Many players have quit or deny to reactivate their accounts because the company doesn't provide its customers with what's logic to provide...
If only there was a 'Gordon Ramsey' for MMORPG companies...'MMORPG nightmares' lol...
That's right, everybody! The Gift of Vitality event is back for one more week! :D
We're bringing this event to you for many reasons:
Because we received such positive feedback from the first Gift of Vitality event, we've brought it back for your enjoyment.
A few weeks ago, during the first Gift of Vitality event, there was a full day when nearly every server suffered from repeated crashing. We decided to run the Vitality event one more week to make up for any inconvenience those server crashes may have caused.
Quite simply, we know you love vitality! So here is some more of it for you to enjoy! :)
