looking for strategy website.....

i remember when L2 was in it's first year there was a very cool strategy website for the game. the website listed all NPCs and where to find them, detailed maps of different places, had a complete monster list like which monsters drop what, quest guides, etc......anyone know of a site like this?

L2wh isnt supported anymore and therefor isnt updated. the wiki that is found on elliebelly's site is nice. i dont think stratics is updated very much anymore. ignvault is soso. rochands site is amazing for basic information.

imo, the best information on crafting comes from rochand's site or the official korean site viewed through google translator. dont take anything on our official site as true as its all pretty much false or outdated by a chronicle or 2.

I don't remember a site at that time that had maps, but there were a bunch that had lists for monsters, quests, items and other things. As an off-and-on L2 player, I've had the same trouble of finding a good source for information, but here are a couple of the best sites I've found:

Hyperlite is right, though. It doesn't seem to be updated at all anymore, and proof of that might be that going to its front page brings you to another broken page on the main Stratics hub. Not sure if that's a new issue or not. There's still a lot of good information to be had, though.

There doesn't seem to be a one-stop shop, but rather a bunch of sites that are good at a couple of different things.

Personally I don't trust L2 Info, some infos are false

Elliebelly is a great site, but if you can't find the info go to the korean wiki or powerbook as its called there.

Use google translate and you get the hang of it fast.

That's right. Most high-level players use the powerbook. This is an official NCsoft website, it is safe to just click on any links you see. And as Leonidar said, you will soon get accustomed to navigating by monster pictures and item icons :)

Apart from being a database with monster drops etc. the powerbook also has real strategy articles, based on the results of their two-weekly essay writing competition but written up by staff, i.e. double-checked for the information to be correct, and above all, for proper spelling (you need that for Google Translator (http://translate.google.com/) to work):
