What are your thoughts on a live, RP-based market night? It would be a place to come and sit and hark your goods, to engage in bidding wars and look for particular crafts and items.
If this was a traveling flea market where it was expected that you haggle over the price of your wears and goods. Both buyers and sellers know this so they have to stay at their kb's.
RP the greatest deals ever in game and being corporate dwarfy ... I think it could work. :D
unfortunately this would be more trouble than it's worth.
however interesting it might be once or twice, it would get old fast.
While details are still being worked out, I would imagine this would be held only once or twice a year. This is being thought of by the roleplaying community on Aria. The intention being, those who do roleplay will be in character and will strike up dialogue with whomever is buying or selling.
People will not need to be a roleplayer to come by and check it out, buy or sell something - just expect more dialogue than a simple yes or no to an offer. Let's face it, most of us have bartered while buying or selling and I see this Market Event having a lot of that.
It's even possible there could be price wars going on between sell shops or craft shops.
