NCsoftHQ noticed that NCsoftNA have drop of population in lineage2.
Sace please create one section only the registered players to have access, this is to ask the players their opinion, or someday NCsoftNA go have 1 surprise, when the players get the resolve to join and make some mass complain to NCsoftHQ. I think is better NCsoftNA work with the players, for better results.

According to report of NCSoft - Lineage 2 is not dying and it is old but developing product.
I think hes trying to explain how NCsoft NA stands in relation too NCsoft HQ (Korea) and the effect this has on players of NA and EU servers. I think Sace should read the thread on elliebelly about the censorship of NCsoft NA. I can understand that you cant respond too it in detail, but some responce is ver much appreciated. Probably people will stop QQing when Freya hits, but we just hope that you can take it with you as improvement for future updates.

For a little while people will be busy discovering/enjoying the "new stuff" (even though Korea spoiled it a very long time ago, but hey!), but when people realize how poorly managed this place still is it will be right back to Q_Qville.

NC didn't ever inform us about everything, besides that, other companies I will not name here ("It's done when it's done.") Put up at least useless but at least coloured information (cinematics, trailers, in game scenes).

the OP tried to do that - after 5 years being ncsoft customer it made me laugh ^^ after lineage 2 (when im done with it mb in 3 years) there will come another MMO and it wont be NC ever again. I guess after the aion disaster many players think like me

Im getting a headache trying to decipher the english/content of the post.
I assume he trying too say that L2 makes money in Korea. And that Koreans dont know how bad the game is in NA/EU. He also asks for a forum account thingy on the offical L2 korea site so we can QQ more too them about the situation here. In the HOPE that Korea will beter their customer support towards the west/NA.
Koreans hate loosing face in public and if we can go QQ there it might have a good effect for players...BUT i doubt the managing in L2 West en EU wont be soo lucky if it comes too light in korea that L2 is being poorly managed.

There was a discussion on EllieBelly about how the Koreans are actually aware of our problems. They apparently pay attention to us and occasionally browse our forums like we do theirs.

Attamo and FidgitTheClown are correct this is part of what im trying to tell.
I'm not happy with NCSOFTNA, because all the good feedback we try put on forum is deleted, and this is way i put here the links.
If you have follow the links, Im sure you noticed a big difference in what they announce and what we have on NCsoftNA.
Sace players are losing faith in NCSOFTNA, in my case since i start playing on NCSOFTNA (start 2 years on guildwars and pass from AION) no one of the staff ask/email/call what i think the games and way i stop play than (feedback=0).
In the conference i heard that NCsoft staff is working hard to back track the way lineage team did last year(min 3.30-4.30), and i ask how they go do that if they have almost zero feedback.
If this situation is to stay, i don't go complain. But don't expect the players go stay silenced forever.

Yes i agree,there are discussions of players in several forums who have lost all hope with Ncswest policy and try to turn into mother company and inform them about our problems.

Second - NCSoft's policy for no detailed information on future releases is neccessary because ... just imagine ... what is going to happen if we know that in a year they'll add a vortex buster to the Soultaker? Hm? What is going to happen? I'll tell you what - everybody is going to quit their nukers and make a soultaker because it would be the strongest nuker in the game... (this is just an example! I don't say it is the best example ever).
Third - The game is not dying. It is just another summer! Every summer there is a large QQ about L2 dying because ... it is a summer and the population is lower than usual.
Forth - If you play more and QQ less it will be great for everybody.

i love Lineage2 and **** go QQ about it, because l2 have some problems, and we can live with than.
NCsoftNA have a big problem, and the way things are i really don't now if they are capable of solve it, because they are missing some NC Values (http://www.ncsoft.net/global/aboutus/ncvalues.aspx).
If you now some players who leave, or some who are thinking leave, you now what i try to tell.
NCsoftNA is capable of identify or real problems? if they now than way they don't do nothing? is necessary lose face to rethink what is wrong?

Private servers don't have a financial stake in letting people bot, private servers require less grind, private servers have developers that live on the same continent, (some) private servers have a larger population than Retail, private servers have more active GMs who communicate with the community and I'm sure I could pull out more reasons if you need them.
the financials are pretty much the same (outside of Korea) for the last few years. there are growth areas, much the same as there has been for a while in all areas but NA.
NcSoft's problem with the NA market has been around since Garrette created that disaster game and fled with all his millions.
Their last ditch to combine servers and see about maximizing their profits out of us thru the lowering of overhead is seen as a way to keep us profitable and still not have to invest much over the next few years other than to ride on the coat tails of the Korean investments.
The sad truth is they really don't know what to do next to really take that next jump up in games and online content. They continue, much like Hollywood, to rebrand and remake the same content over and over again.
The bottom line is they are doing just fine for their stock holders. Koreans are happy and the rest is gravy to them. We, on the other hand are seeing the cracks in the game as it sits and NcAmerica is trying to find a way to fix them.
I still think it is amazing that the lessons from Lin1 never were applied to us. Why spin up all those servers if only to kill them later. The lessons of StarWars by Sony are not even being applied here. OMG, to repeat these and then to be tossed about by the QQing and waves with no direction is sad.
Again, we see no true interaction. Look at the interviews of previous years, the actual programmers and senior team members coming out and answering directly some of our issues and giving us glimpses into the future to keep us juiced.
Also, the lack of investment in advertising, being at the cons, and in general, no excitement coming out of NcSoft is sad :(
Why we don't get information about the update before?
Because here at NCsoft West, we get the verified information at the last moment. We could use fan translated content, but we would be responsible for any mistake, so we wait for NCsoft Korea's official information.
Why didn't we get Gracia 2 / NC Coins stuff?
We understood the difference of mind of western players when it comes to cash shops so we didn't set NC Coins. We wanted to include Gracia 2 items in our events rewards, but NCsoft Korea forbid us. They want it cash shop exclusives.
Why don't we have as many events as Korea?
The events require localisation, and we don't have enough budget allocated to it by NCsoft Korea to translate all the events. We tried to reuse old events that were already translated, but it ended badly (out of date rewards, etc).
Why don't we have a nice official website like in Korea?
NCsoft Korea doesn't allocate us enough budget to do it. It has to be someone with another activity who splits its time to do it, but it never gets finished.

In order to post on these forums you have to be an active account. So all of you people who QQ EVERY day also pay EVERY day.
Lets assume NCSoft has 9k paid players each month. We have 20 (maybe a few more) people who love to QQ all day long and point out how the game they have been playing (paying) for 5+ years sucks.
I like the idea that you are posting and that NCSoft cares enough to have a forum. But it seems the goal is to just kick people and see how much you can get away with.
I can only hope NCSoft remembers there are alot of people who do not QQ on your boards all day long and actually enjoy the game.
This is a game, if you want to help make it better please do so, if you hate the game please drive through.

So sad,but totaly true.Every player who get to know L2 from playing in a prive server some friends suggested him,will come to play on officiel Na servers hoping here he will find the ''real''game,with most recent content,events,no bugs, 0 propability on getting wiped,big clans and ofc he will be able to lvl/gear his toon and has equal chances with every other player to become powerfull if he tries hard and play a lot.
i think you will find a population around 10m on private servers. that may seem like alot but some of the more popular servers are running a population of 50-100k people. there are websites that advertise the top 100 private servers. that would lead one to conclude a possibility of up to 1,000 private servers hosting a population of atleast 500 people and upwards of 50-100k.

Pffft, no. Sace is really nice and enthusiastic about L2. She likes to speak about it, and we're happy about that. When she doesn't say anything, that's because of the PR taboos and the idea of some directors that they can control the brand image by choosing what to say and what to hide. And well, it works for a certain category of customers. The ones that tends to buy every Apple gadgets for example.
I think Sace's answer sums up NC 's general feelings about their NA Customers.
