Hi all, i have just created a trial acount (which i will most likely upgrade if i do enjoy it here), since the client is still updating, i decided to come to the forums introduce myself, and ask for some info
Its the first time im going to play l2 in the official server but i have been playing l2 for like 4/5years on private servers, although most of them got lots of bugs, unbalanced classes, crappy GMs, not all features enabled and all are a chronicle or 2 behind, i did enjoyed playing there, until recently when i couldnt find a decent one (most either had low population with a carebear attitude or a lets all hold hands and be friends..)
So i decided to try out the official and see how i get along, so any recommendation on what server i should create my toon? I´ve seen on some threads that nowadays the highest populated/active servers are Teon and Phoenix if i recall correctly, since im a euro player Teon should be the smart choice, correct?
Another important thing that i cant decide is, what class should i make since im starting from 0, i would want something decent to farm, make some adena and gear up, and then create what will be my "main", i was considering OL (this is one the classes i enjoy playing the most), but i guess its not a very good farmer, my 2nd choise was a Destro, but i dont really know how good it will be here, third maybe a dwarf but im really not sure about that

i would reccomend making a support class your main and if you want to have more accounts obviously go with more buffers, but if you can make a titan as well as you can use the titan to level you up. the reason i say this is DDs are extremely stacked and it is much easier to transition into endgame content as a live support class than anything.
Hi and welcome to the official servers! Pheonix and Teon are DEFINITELY the most active servers, although there are rumors of merges in the future. Aria is the unofficially official RP server.
I'm not sure which class would work best. Dwarves are still around, but not quite as good money makers as they used to be, since many things are carried in the NPC shops now. Healers and buffers are still popular, especially in the later levels, after players no longer receive the newbie buffs.
One thing to keep in mind. . . well, two things really. 1. Many people are rather high level. Use your free ports before level 40 to wander around the towns, try to meet people, and hook up with a clan. Otherwise it will be a lonely time for you.
2. The PTS ust went up, so a lot of people will be on there. Things will be even MORE quiet than usual. Don't panic, things are quiet, they'll just be more quiet for the next few weeks.
I don't know if trial accounts can log onto the PTS or not, but you may want to try it. =^_^= People were rather talktaive on there last night.
Tuesdays on Aria there is an event called the Wishing Well, at 9pm est (roughly). This is a good place to meet people, unfortunately, most are from Aria server (we do get some from Pheonix though).

well, welcome to the big leagues! ive been trying to get dez to come to the server and id plvl her up but ive been unsucessful so far. i am not sure of the exact euro populations on either phoenix or teon. teon is an official euro server, controlled by russians i believe however oly and stuff would be geared towards your time zone. phoenix is an NA server with alot of euros on it, oly is NA timezone.
the greatest part is skills actually work here. although im not playing HK here i sure wish i was! i am playing a titan on sayha. there is no GM whose descisions change depending on what anti-depression medication he is taking at the moment. etc etc.

I thought you said that you've never played the official servers? Your experiences mirror that of the official servers.
*disclaimer* recently the GMs and quality of support has magnified and is almost as good as it was when GMs freely roamed the lands of Elmore at the beginning of the game.
It would be nice if some friends would come here also (except tamaro:D), i might convince simple into coming here, hes kinda bored atm, and looking for something new to play, and skills working is a great incentive, and so is not having to worry about the "nerf hammer" due to some QQ at the forum:rolleyes:
Well i understand that things isnt working 100% here but common, skills are working has they should, no geodata bugs (maybe some dunno), not a insanely gap between classes, making only a few playable in endgame, and most not even needed, and here you play on a up to date server, about the gms i cant really say anything but i guess they get alot of work everyday and they do what they can
hey, i just picked up the game a few days ago after i quit it four years ago. Dont ask me why i am quite ****le when it comes to my gaming habbit. just wanted to welcome you to the game. i just discovered what the summoner class is really like at 85 so you might not wanna do that one. i like it though. well good luck.
