The top 3 chat windows represent how Giran has been for over 1 month now. The bottom shows an in-game mail I just recently received... They're even using real game announcement excerpts!!
I would like to see a simple regex-based server-side chat/mail filter with active GMs to monitor/update the filter rules to keep spam bots relatively silent. But we all know it will never happen. (Expecting posts about how it would not be effective to follow.)
I really do not understand it. They have log files for EVERYTHING (from support tickets I know that they log pretty much everything for the last 30 days or so, they can tell you EXACTLY who had the last hit on something 2 weeks ago, who traded what to who etc.). So why can't they have a GM page down through a Giran shout/white chat logfile once a day and look for adena sale spammers. It would take not more than 5 minutes max, probably less, to just look at that text file, write down the names of the spammers and send them to someone else who is responsible for clicking the "ban" button. No need for a huge amount of investigation, the proof is right there in the chat logs. Just look at the screenies. It would be so obvious if they just looked at the logs.
Finding it after the deed has been done does nothing.
Ppl crying in this thread wants them to go poof after the first line of text...
If these are indeed trial accounts, this would mean ban one that is active
in giran today
And have another one the next day...
And more likely these people dont even have a solid IP adress to ban...
So how can they ban them permanently ?
Its scooping watter with an open robinet...
And they can't touch the adena sellers because they hide in
hacker paradises where no one will persuit them...
NCsoft is stuck on that matter LEGALLY only way to help them is not
to buy adena, but how manny weak and greedy spirits can resist the
call of easey monney ?
