Will we be getting a new server everyone starting from 1 for freya or anytime soon, it would certainly bring me back to the game. as all servers are to advanced now to come back .
If any new servers I'd hope it'd be a new free to play server where paying the monthly subscription gives you a 2/3x XP boost and unlocks more content like 75+ and subclass/noble/more quests. Subscription would also open the current "Traditional" servers so everyone wins and our servers don't get changed!
Theres no way a new server would work if people could transfer their high end toons and gear to it wrecking the economy, it would need years to mature. Theres also no way to change the fee method for current servers so it'd need to be a new one which is play for free, pwn for a fee. :D
new server is good only, if ncsoft ban all the cheaters and bots in this new server, else forget that and we know ncsoft never ban all the cheaters and bots
Id pay an additional fee if they started a new server based on progression like EQ did not too long agoI would pay if we could go a week without someone starting a new thread about servers.

There are currently no plans to create a brand-new server. However when the server merges happen, I personally imagine that some of the top clans will be busy fighting each other for the first time, and new players will have more run of the place. :) But that's just my own speculation.
No need to lock down a thread of this nature unless it gets out of hand. Server merge threads will get locked because it's not constructive to speculate further when every opinion has already been voice in the extensive, stickied, official, 26-page thread on the matter, and also until we have an official update about them. :)

No. They will start relentlessly harassing each other until several clans disband/transfer. THEN they will start QQing about not having anyone to fight.

Go play 12sky then, free mmo's don't work.period. They milked out of there players and then abandoned.
And my lineage2 experience has allways been the same. Cant ever seem to be high lvl inough to do any sort of decent pvp. Im allmost 79 after 5 years of play and im still getting my but rolled.
I don't think sace understand some of this games evolution. Player base in lineage2 keeps decreasing cause everyone who enters an mmo has some kind of expectanse or goal. Much of this goals are not met due to how advance long term players are. Its not all about winning pvp fights but allso doing raids and such, having fun with your friends, lvling up a clan, having your fort/castle and defending it.
Alot of people who enter lineage enter because we all ould like to see how ould it be to fly a dragon/wyvern for example. As in many servers, theres allways one predominant clan. That clan ends up with 90% of the castles in the game and ends up controlling dungeon access making it dificult for players to advance. People keep leaving the game for new ones that offer a more realistic opportunity to reach goals making lineage2 with low population. The way we play this game is more pvp oriented. If theres a lack of people in a server the power of the dominant clan keeps increasing while the rest increase but at a very slower rate.Making the dominant clan "allmost" permanent owners of this castles and such until a server merge occurs. If the answer to balance a game is to merge, then the game can be considerate dead.
Only way to fix this is to give players who don't have the time to invest 11 hours a day in the game due to work or some other reason some kind of alternative route to be able to "at least" have a better success chance to defeat the dominant clan. Assuming that at some point the non dominant clans will combine forces to take dominant one out wont happen. At the lunch of game,yes but now days...we all know is not going to happen.I believe freya will help on this with instance bosses so lets see how it turns out. But trust me...and we all know...its practically impossible to beat boss jewelery equipped player vs non. This is my 2 cents.

Big clans on big servers are way stronger than big clans on the dead servers. You merge them what will happen is the former rulers of the dead servers will spend a lot of time sucking up to the big boys to avoid any fighting, eventually they will ally/merge.
Welcome to Lineage 2, nobody actually likes loosing.
If Valakas and Antharas are so hard like we see them on Videos i guess we will kiss and hug with many of our enemies just to kill these RBs.
Also let me say that Franz+Luna will not be enough for merge.
We need Teon too in the picture to make a real high population server.
