Will we be able to do the 7 Signs Epic Quest second time in Freya?
It was possible in Korea and also in Russia, but nothing is written about it in our Patch Notes or anythere else at forum as I can see :confused:

anyway in Russia they could do the Quest again only after some update, not right at the Freya launch. hope we will get it also, since it looks like a common feature in this update and would be a great help for players.

Once Freya is on live servers, you need to speak to the News Informer NPC to "reset" your completed quest status, then you can get the quest again through it's original start NPCs.

Will Phoenix pathing/geodata problems be fixed on Freya's release? If not there are parts of the epic quests that will not be possible to do (the 4th for example) :(

I suffered through doing on 3 toons this weekend...i have never hated NCSoft more for the geo data mess....You will get stuck on every corner trying to run past the sets of 2 guards in the "hard" part. They should just create a save spot in the ramp past the big room so you dont have to run through it in order to go through the hell hallway.
I assume this means that once the quest is retet on the system it will be as if you've never taken it full stop, meaning you can wait till the high five update becomes live to do the quest again? I.E it's not just a temporary patch just for the Freya update.
With future changes and skills I'd rather save my quest till then so I have a backup of SP to get new skills incase I go on an OE spree before high five comes out. :p

We do not yet have a definite solution for the pathing/geodata issue.
now i have a question: what happens if i have the epic q started, yes, i stopped @ 4th part, just cuz no mood for it, and ill actually finish the whole epic q after freya patches on live? will i still be eligible to repeat it, or ill have to make haste and finish it while there's still time?

From what I understand as long as you complete it before the news informer is gone and click it after you completed it then you'll be fine. Once you click to reset the quest on the NPC it will set it back to as if you hadn't done it on that toon, so doesn't matter if it was done before freya or during.

That should be fun to do on Phoenix considering we can't even run around town without getting stuck on anything and everything as is.
From what I understand as long as you complete it before the news informer is gone and click it after you completed it then you'll be fine. Once you click to reset the quest on the NPC it will set it back to as if you hadn't done it on that toon, so doesn't matter if it was done before freya or during.

Just watch the you tube video and be patient! Took me 35-45 minutes after having a frustrating first run of an hour.
lol it's not about that, i made that q 2 times allready, it's just that im not in the mood to do it at some specific time; when i feel like doing it ill do it, if u know what i mean
4th part is a nightmare, best time was 25 minutes, worst 3 hours, doesn't hlp with lag. :(
Worst was when I did my SE, saved it till she was 30% off 80, got to the last part and she died twice to mobs in the clanhall so I had to go pole for another half hour to get her to 80 after all, rather than ding by quest. :(
Any info on if it's permanently reset, IE I can wait until high five to re-do my quest?

Pay me the money it costs to move 14 chars from one server to another and then also give me every item I on the current server on the new server and I may consider it.

You can do the epic quest a second time, when you talk to the npc it simply resets the "flag" on your character so that you can start it again. So all the restrictions of the epic quest apply as usual (have to be 79 to start it/get the xp reward, etc.).
wow.... epic quest in garbage can :))) ill better farm AA or something for that 15% boost.....will miss that ring or bracelet tho, so ppl will get two of them now?

We've seen no confirmation by ncsoft that you had to have completed it the first time before the update to do it 2 times. Not everyone has played the game for 5+ years. Allowing only those who already did the quest in the past is basically a way for ncsoft to say F you to newer players so I find it hard to believe they would do that in the state this game is in. They need every subscriber they can get and there is no reason at all to let some of the player base do it 2 times and others only do it 1 time when it's 30% of a level at a decently high level.
On Russian servers people were able to do epic quest for the first time in freya, then reset it with news informer and do again. I think same will be for us.
Only those who can't do quest until News Informer is removed will not have this opportunity.

In my opinion if youve been playing for 2-3months why should you get the benefit of doing it more than once when people who have been playing the 5+ years didnt even have vit and tons of vit events when they took the year or 2 years to get 75 back in the day.
A good solution for this IMO is to be able to redo the q in every update we get! So the more years you play the more you get rewarded and no one can tell you i did it only once you did it twice its unfair so qq!
What esle this "news informer" will do? I read it will be available for 1 month - which means this is kind of event.

The News Informer NPCs can be found in each town or village after any new game update is live. These NPCs have a variety of helpful functions:
They can give you information on the new and revamped hunting areas, and prove direct teleports to these updated areas.
The News Informer for the Freya expansion will remain in game for one month, during which players must complete these quests through the News Informer. The player community will be reminded before this NPC (and the possibility of finishes these quests) is removed, on September 21, 2010.
They can provide rewards for quests that have been removed or altered in this update, preventing players from being able to complete these quests naturally. This update's altered quests include:
Guardians of the Holy Grail (This quest is being removed.)
Delicious Top Choice Meat (This quest is considerably altered.)
Influx of Machines (This quest is considerably altered.)
So you see, News Informers are around after every update, and they offer information about the latest content. If there are quests leaving the game, use the News Informer over the next month to complete them and get the reward before they are gone forever. Also, you can do the Seven Signs Epic Quest a second time by speaking to the News Informer.

yes, my main is past lvl 79, but you forgot about ALTS, who may not be 79 quite yet. "& who dont have 12hrs a day to play a game. lol"

Yeah well I started playing before vitality was introduced or the fast lvl to 20... but my job (military) has been a little inconveniencing. I have only made 1.. ONE of the vitality events (the most recent one) and my highest level toon is 77.
Those who have been playing 5+ ought to be at end game (ie 85) by this time, by your reasoning, unless "they've been leveling subs or something the whole time"
But beware ppl.. the temple of dawn part(4th part) has quite some geo problems. I did it in 15 minutes last time, on my DC.. and this time.. took me over 40 minutes, to be able to finish it. I kept constantly getting stuck in walls.
I think it is fair to expect the PVE side of the game to be playable at 2-300ping
I would love to get the quest twice for every alt I get to 79 in the future, should I expect that too?

The npc is in game for a month. It is obvious the line is drawn there. I'm not asking for the past event's benefits on me now. This reset is part of the event going on NOW. I'm asking to be able to use the same event that is happening now as the rest of the server.
Actuall the description is not quite correct (is someone surpised?). There are 3 kinds of guards, not 2 as the quest says. Only the red robe guards cannot see through the Hide, the other 2 kinds of guards see through it.
(I assumed the white robe guards are female too but actually didn't stop to look from very close at their faces)
You need News Informer only to reset your quest. Once it's reset, you can do it when you want - today or in 3 years.
I was hoping that, gonna wait till either 82 and 70% or high five, high five will probably come first though thanks to the poling nerfs (less element damage), whenever L2 seems good they take it all away from you! :(

I would strongly recommend doing it before high five. As you know in High Five they reduced exp needed by 40%. Epic quest total exp was adjusted to the new EXP curve.
The thing is that you should do it in before high five is SP you get from it. In high five there will be quite some skills that will require a lot SP.

****, I thought it remained the same, you sure they lower the XP from it. I know theres a epic quest 2 that gives lower XP.
Ran through it fast as hell. 1 shotted the 4th part in about 15 minutes, maybe a couple less. Think I spent more time loading laundry and peeing than this quest. It actually seemed a bit nerfed to me, in difficulty... I don't remember it being this fast.
I don't understand the people which complain about this quest. It is not a top secret 99% from the L2 quests have label "bots only". And now there is a quest which gives very decent reward but the people (which just complained against the bots) are now complaining again "Nah... this quest is too hard to me... I prefer to gring 100,000 mobs..."

Difficulty has nothing to do with botting, It's the latency that makes it hard.
You try playing a game based on timing when your actions are .5-1 seconds delayed.
In addition to that the way the game handles location means you might not be in the same place on your screen and in the servers "mind"

To play successfuly online the player should have not more then 200ms ping. Anything more makes the game hardly playble. I don't see how you can PVP with 1 sec delay. So if this is the problem then the player will either 1. change the ISP or 2. change the game

I can repeat Epic saga again after Freya even now ?
Stop asking dumb questions. If you log in and dont get the flashy quest icon in the bottom left you either cant do it or you are part way through so check your quest log.
Only when the News Informer NPC is in town. He normally visits right after a game update has been applied. It's not certain yet if he will be back after the next update or not. We will post more once we have a confirmation.
