new to official server

Hi people

After some months of playing in other (private) servers, I decided to start an account here in retail. The latest update seems interesting too.

However, I have a few questions
- what is a good world to start playing? I'd like an active server with a large population, preferably not dominated by a few top clans. Does something like this exist in official servers?
- how is the overal difficulty for someone starting to play nowdays? Is it possibly to make any money pre 75 ish so I can afford to craft/buy some S+ grade gear later on or is the lower level economy dead? <.<
- are there many lower level players thesedays? If so, do people here actually look out for parties or does everyone and their mother levels with boxes?
- how is the class balance in here? Back where I played there were a few undesired classes but maybe since this server is ahead in updates things are getting slightly better now....?
- is the botting problem still as rampant as it was some years ago?

thanks for any answers. :)
If you live in Europe you have the best choice from all servers - Teon. In US the best choice is Phoenix but it still has less population then Teon.
As for the several main clans owning the whole servers... well there are such clan on every server but on Teon there are several big clans so it is not just one-sided and besides there are a lot of smaller clans. There aren't so many new players as they were couple of years ago but there are still lower level players.
As for the economy... low level economy is effectively killed. To get adena you need to spend a lot of time trading/farming etc. But as you probably will not play 24/7 you can make a dwarf for seller and buy/sell all the time when you don't play actively and there are some safe trades which can be started with very little adena and even at lvl 1 (but i advise to raise the dwarf at least to lvl 10 so it will have 2x weight ability).

Private servers are illegal so, mentioning that you played on private servers isn't the best thing to do. :p

1) I am pretty sure that there is NO server that isn't dominated by big botter/ebayer clans, if you find one that isn't dominated, tell me, lol.

2) Well, if you join a clan it's going to be much easier to gear up, but it is kinda rough to get good gear without being in a clan. Get to 20 with the quests and buy Common D grade weapons and armor. If you can afford an armor just to benefit from the set effects go for it, common weapons are great if u're not planning to enchant a D grade weapon.

3) I'm afraid you won't see a lot of 20ish level characters and if you ever happen to stumble upon one it might be an alt. Parties exist but mostly clan-wise, parties outside of clan are a bit difficult to find (afaik).

4) Well, there is an unbalance...there always was, in every update a one class would get nerfed and another overpowered, I don't know which are those classes now so...you might want to search a bit more.

5) Botting has always been a problem and I don't see it stopping any time soon, in fact it might never stop. :)

But anyway, no matter how many flaws Lineage II for EU and NA has, we still love it. ^^

Good luck,

Kalinia
