i was just wondering if there is a way to stop the game from resetting all the windows everytime you play. i have to drag all my windows to where i want them everytime i log in, except the skill/buff windows.

and as for running more than one l2, is there a way to stop the lag on the background client?

I have seen no way to save your screen locations. Wish we had one :( If I have made my screen smaller for transfers or something I just hit Alt-L to reset the screen and then make my adjustments. This also works better than Initializing if a window has slipped off screen.

This will help the lag when you have more than one client open. System Menu>Options>Audio/System Tab>uncheck "Decrease Background Performance" It keeps the non active screen from going dormant and should help your lag.

He needs to uncheck this "decrease background perfomance" to see no lag there.

My wife was having an issue of all her windows resetting whenever she logged in, I solved it by right-clicking the L2 folder, unticking "read only".

Not sure how some of the files/folders picked up the read only flag, but I assume it came from copying the client for some reason or another.

As far as I know, you can remove "read only" from windowsinfo.ini in system folder of l2 folder and then log into the game, set all windows as you need, without closing the game tick "read only" back again and it should not change anymore.
