General Discussion Started Last reply 15 posts
We are hosting a poll to find out people's thoughts on how the economy will turn after the mergers. Post your vote at: http://l2.eogamer.com/node/148
The Votes are bad.
I mean for example on Franz they have buy shops for Divine stones up to 3,4 mil i saw.
On Teon you pay 800k each Divine stone in sell shop.

Shall i vote now the price will drop, because it will become Teon price, since Teon have the biggest amount of items, or should i vote that the price will go up, because Franz ppl will pay at least 900k?
Everything will decrease in price. More players = more competition = lower prices.
Why did the stones go down in price after Freya if anyone knows? I expected them to go up since demand of stones should go up when u can add 3 elements per armor... can all the new mobs in freya drop stones now?

It seems everyone had the same idea with freya so divine/fire stones got stockpiled and price went down due to tons of people already having those elements on armor for PvE and far too much supply.

Wind/earth went up though as less people put that on armor pre-freya so needed it afterwards. Also people won't be using elements straight away as they will wait for new armor sets before putting multiple elemental defense on them.

As far as markets are concerned I predict initially epics, SS and AA will rise in price quite dramatically due to people just pvping. All other items apart from s80/84 armor and weapons will drop like made but mat prices rise. Give it until september then LOTS of full weapons, armor and epics will be on the market making prices drop like mad due to the large amount of players who quit.

I'd give it 3-4 months before economies settle.

Predictions are hard though as different economies have different prices, some will seem lower, some higher, some the same. I'm going off Bartz prices.

Nice answer, thanks :)
The answer is quite simple, Prices will fluctuate wildly for a week and then settle somewhere in the middle of all the servers, most likely deviating towards the lower prices, because those represent over saturated markets
Everything will decrease in price. More players = more competition = lower prices.

more players .. more demand for a somewhat "fixed" amount of mats/gear ... higher prices.

no1 can see the future .. except paul the octopus.
Everything will decrease in price. More players willing to cash out = lower prices.
Fixed.

this.

sure people will try their luck and put their prices up. but at the end of the day they will be undercut eventually, like all these people trying to push Element stones for 8 mil each at the beginning of freya

what? Mats are NOT fixed. More players = more people hunting collecting mats, etc = lower prices.
There will be opportunities for profits for motivated players who got A's in their economics classes in college.

Didn't go to college? Didn't pay attention? Just took easy classes? Then all your adenas belong to me.

all cata/necros are 24h full of bots .. there cant be farmed more AA even if you double the amount of players .. same goes for manor or other stuff that drops only from a limited amount of mobs.

me dont say "it has to be" ..its yust a possiblility like yours.
