There seems so few of us... I have only ever met 3 or 4 in five years playing! Are there any other UK players out there? The game certainly was never advertised in this country...
I've met quite a few english players, including myself and my housemate (our clan tag is even the union jack, lol).
off hand I can think of about 6-7 english guys and 4 girls I've met/been in clan with in L2. Even met a guy whose clan was just made up of english squaddies, he was transferring server the day I started chatting to him tho, lol.
In real life it's a different kettle of fish though. Doing a computer games design course at uni with 3 modules specifically dedicated to MMO games I hoped I'd meet other L2 players, out of the whole uni I only found 5 guys who'd played it and only one of them had got past level 60 and he was a chineese guy my friend knew who worked in the local takeaway!
Found it quite funny speaking to one guy, pretty big, unhealthy looking guy who spent 99% of his time at home on the computer. When I asked him about L2 he said "nah, that's that crazy hardcore korean grind game isn't it? Too hardcore for me"..... lol this was a supergeek telling a guy who goes to the gym 5 times a week, plays for the sport team and goes out drinking 3 nights a week that the game he playes is too nerdy and hardcore! :D
Caution: Drinking and L2 is not recommended unless you don't value your epics, gear and XP or just love crystals.

Now if I'm drunk (which isn't often :( ) I just go to sleep, lol.
I used to play GW drunk all the time, and then i'd get drunk in the game too, so the screen would be all over the place. Boy that was fun.
*character randomly sits down* "K guys... I know we are in the middle of an instance.. but maybe my character has the right idea, maybe we should just take a break for a bit.. cause you know you aren't stupid when you drink.. you just think differntly.. and maybe my character thinks if we take a break, the next area will be easier cause the mobs will all go to sleep out of boredom for waiting for us."

i started playin on sayha whilst living in Leeds back in 2005... i did move back to my home country last year tho... of the top of my head, one of my classmates in uni used to play L2 back then, but he quit long ago... there was a girl I used to play with too, she was from Manchester, but again this is like 4yrs ago...

i admit, we are few. speaking to most euros i find their RL friends also play L2, and their familly etc. any UK person i meet is usually an iscolated L2 player, lol.
Scotland here..play the game with a handfull of uk m8's..best m8 just lives round the corner whos wife hates me for getting him into the game 4-5 yrs ago hehe..

I never realised ther was such a lack of UK players in L2, i alway assumed quite a few people wer from the UK, like you said tho, this game was never really advertised in this country.
Thank god for other countrys speaking English, otherwise id be stuffed! You dont understand how greatful i am. Thanks to all international player for that one!
As for the grind bit iv never really understood that about L2, if anything the XP is WAY to fast. I cant understand why it would put anyone off the game

Have you ever played on Teon? I am one of maybe 20 total American players on that server, everyone else is from the EU or Russia (some Canadians too) (and yes there are quite a few from the UK too)
yeah, i got tired of the 3:00am Sieges and made the leap to teon (about the same time dragonlords started on teon).
