S GEM price prediction

no mammon for another 2 weeks just in case u did not read my old post... 5 server into 1, that is lots of desparate people .... i say 2m per by the weekend.
Nah, price will be stable below 1mil.

Mats won't take long to dry out and people won't be so desperate to craft when base mats are so highly priced.

Also soon to be a lot of cheap gear on the market thanks to tons of people quitting or de-activating multiple accounts. No point crafting when theres no profit in it unless your uber rich and want MW.
wts 5k s gems :D

good to know u bought 2-3 billion of s gem without getting the final nod from sace.... i

Too many stocked up and i garantee gear is gonna be last thing on their minds trying to get clans all situated plus you have 5 servers worth of SG gems that will be on the market.
when ae screwed mammon last month, with the cake event, s gem hit above 1.5m on bartz. no mammon, every server will run out of s gem. after merge, s gem problem will be magnified by 5 times. i tried to buy gss for 33 throughout week, only got a few mil

It was only over a mil for a short time, price dropped pretty fast within a week.

Thing was that was also on freya launch when everyone was trying for the new S80/vesper gear and base mats/key mats were common. Now the majority of people have what they want but base mats/key mats won't be in massive supply.

Thats because people are holding off on selling AA until the merger. No one knows whats going to happen so they horde it and wait. on Sayha Gems are still 450-500k and were near the merge time too. This is going ot be a significant change in Giran population 5 times the farmers, 5 times the normal seller, 5 times the amount of products sold, first 3 days things are going to be stupid high until people realize its not going to sell then it will all even out again.

It won't even out that fast, give it a month orso, plus the mass quits etc to stir things up even more.

Glad I got 40k+ s gem waiting to be sold.

How can u say that to people with lots of adena, you've got a +7 dyn weapon! :p

Btw, why'd you want an icarus hammer? You need an icarus hall with acu for DC casting and focus dagger with cancel for DPS/pvp.

farmed you mean!

40k S GEM = 28 billion adena (assuming 700k per) I hope he is kidding. Otherwise whether he bought it or farmed it, it should raise eyebrows.

my +7 crudgel was crystals last week after i had a few beers, lol. For PVP, I need will/protection more than hall (mainly cuz I suck). I need a hammer to solo. I kill 4x hp mobs like bugs (melee with a robe set), and don't even need a healer. Once I get the hvy set, I will probably pole them, lol

You underestimate the DPs of a focus dagger with soulcry, especially compared to a blunt. Plus the re-sell value is very high. ;)

Edit: also add on great fury is a % boost on atk speed right?

haha, i can guess who ur now :) I need a hammer to trigger great fury. No mob can survive that 8 sec. With that said, I will probably trade in my ee's fb for a dagger. lol. Crypt of disgrce mobs are immune to magic.

I disagree with the dagger resell value. There are too many of them. I think BBH and Hvy divider can fetch much more.
Don't often see dyn dagger with focus on sale. Lots of AS, but they don't have focus.

Ah yeah, great fury needs burning chop right? Well still good if you got subclass haste. :p

S Grade Dagger of Doom was still going for 120-130 mil each on phoenix. Sold 4 over the last month.

well, I picked subclass acu/emp for pvp. i think i stil want a fb focus rather than as focus for ee cuz it saves soul shots ;)

oh, i changed my mind. I cannot guess who ur

oh yeah its ruge since you miss 3 in 5 hits and can´t use any skill... or you nerfed con for dex?

Lol, same as orc can't pole since -accuracy for mages on poling?

Guess I'll have to sell my dagger and pole since they don't work, thanks for telling me!

Tbh I'd sell ur EE's weapon and get her a mage weapon and get urself a high level/top gear fenir. Even better make a BD on the account and get it to 64 with a sub and wwatch the XP fly in.

Sub acu/emp sucks really, only adds a small amount. Better to get chance haste, celestial, ud or summoner lore if you can. Chance haste is insane for PvE and good for stipping buffs with cancel dagger in pvp too.

The diference on poleing its cause you are hitting 10 mobs more per time so your success chance in hit is a lot higher not counting poles have better acc then daggers. A dagger hitting a single mob gives you a **** chance on hit fight a light armor type and you will miss even more, if you dont hit you can´t score a critical. NOt counting you are reduced into a skill less class.

that is probably a good idea. I will think about it. Already flushed the sub skill once, that is 10m per pop :(

ROFL, how does hitting 10 mobs mean you miss any less? Poles actually have a lot less acc on a mage than a dagger.

I mean I only levelled form 73-80 with a dagger solo at most spots in game. Then 80-83 with a pole. At 79 you hardly miss the high evasion mobs in varka, same with the Den of evil mobs. Must be that +1 acc off my core ring. Not counting the fact I'm a domi so since the prophecy update don't get the accuracy boost from my VoP any more, DC still does from CoV. Skill wise, what skill, hammer crush and burning chop? Dagger crit does more dmg than hammer crush and burning chop 1/2 that, especially with CoV. No sensible person would go without at least an AM as well as a dagger for mage stuff.

Only an idiot would go chasing light armor classes with a pvp cancel dagger on an orc when theres plenty of mages/tanks about to attack.
According to the official Server Merge 2010 Guide,

Naia (EU) - The first Seven Signs competition will begin on Monday, October 18, 2010.

Mammon will apear again on Naia at Monday, October 25. (one week after start of competition)

That means that the mammon will not be available for 3 weeks in case of Naia Server. Also, the mammon did not appear for a full week as usuall because of the merge. In fact he appeared for less than 24 hours (the time interval between seven signs seal effective period and server going down for merging)

Judging from buy shops and craft shops, seems that there still are a lot of ppl trying to craft Moirai / Vesper.

Adding it all up we have

1) Mammon missing for 1 week (competition period), appearing for 22 hours (evaluation period), disappearing for 3 weeks
2) People still crafting Moirai / Vesper

Seeing item prices sky rocketing at past during similar situations (that would not classify as extreme as above), common sense and standard market rules would imply that price of gemstones s would triple during the next days, going from an average "normal" (not market) price 700k to 2.1M. In fact, now, just the first day, the average gemstone sell shop price at Teon is 1.9M (number of gems x price of each shop) / total number of gems

I guess that not so many people would figure out (1 week absence / 22 hour presense / 3 weeks absence) and stock pile that large quantities needed, so I suspect that even the "fair" x3 rule (3 week absence / 1 week absence) will cease to exist during the next days.

My guess is that we will see prices stabilize at about 2.5M next days and go towards 3M during the last, week (Oct 18 - Oct 25).

That's an average case scenario in which sellers will not get excessively greedy and buyers very impatient or sellers rush to cash out fast and buyers have many patience.
during the last week only a few ppl will buy gems due to the fact that ppl will want to wait a few more days just to get it cheap =)

Nah, price will be stable below 1mil.

Mats won't take long to dry out and people won't be so desperate to craft when base mats are so highly priced.

Also soon to be a lot of cheap gear on the market thanks to tons of people quitting or de-activating multiple accounts. No point crafting when theres no profit in it unless your uber rich and want MW.

totally wrong, ppl will need to equip them selves further in total for 3-7 days from now all armors etc will go down in price but mats etc will start going up more and more especially gems. S crys might rise a little bit too but that depends on drops at epics/ppl that want to over enchant stuff ^^

in fact i think Gems will go to atleast 2.5kk in 1 or 1.5 weeks

EDIT: this goes for Naia server, got no clue how it is on Chronos but should be similar
during the last week only a few ppl will buy gems due to the fact that ppl will want to wait a few more days just to get it cheap =)

/agree

But, the above does not necessarily mean something regarding to the sell shop prices we will see. Some will be tempted to rise prices up to 3m (my guess is that they will do it) last days, despite lowering the probability to sell (or even not selling at all). Considering that inflated prices occurred a lot of times in the past the last days b4 mammon appearance, I see no reason why it could not happen again.

If (both assumptions hold true imho)
a) people have already sold a lot of gems at high prices during the first 2 weeks making a nice profit
b) and gems really start to be in low supply / high demand
then I guess that a 3m price the last week is the average case scenario.

One more factor that i did not mention before is that a player that has already spent hundreds of millions to gather mats / recs / key mats for a Moirai / Vesper armor set, will not consider the slight difference to the total amount of adena spent, that last 10-20-30-40 gems needed will make. In comparison to craft and elements, gems cost is really negligible. My guess is that he / she will not / can not w8 for a week to click the _****_ craft button. We all know the rush and excitement and all just go and pay for the 10-20 gems regardless to the price.

Average seller will keep the price high even if selling in low numbers (or even not selling at all, just keep price up). 2 weeks are more than enough to sell all of the stockpiled gems with a nice profit. 1 more week with lower sales and higher margin will be the choice of most players.

I don't want to refer to the worst case scenario where demand (a lot of crafts and 3 weeks without mammon) by far exceed the supply (only 22 hours of mammon out during last 2 weeks so very low supply), supplies get exhausted fast and the sellers "cartel" go nuts with profit (and for a real reason that time).

So, event though your point is totally correct, I still firmly believe that the sell shop prices we will see (even though the number of actual transactions might be very low) will be about 2.5M the second week and about 3M the last week in an average case scenario.

Again, all of these are just assumptions, the fact is (and I believe that the vast majority has not realized it in time to take the appropriate measures) that

1 week without Mammon (previous period)
22 hours with Mammon (just b4 the merge)
3 weeks without Mammon (after the merge)

ends up to mammon available for less than one day for 4 weeks, i.e. (for the casual player) no mammon for a whole month ...

EDIT: Also about Naia server. Chronos should be a bit better, mammon will appear 1 week earlier and was accessible same hours total, but in a better time-slot
