Nice to see a lot of people in town but man does anyone else find it ridiculous to just walk around and check out items? I never imagined it would be as crazy as it is; busy yes, but like this, never.
I was really hoping people would take this oppurtunity to start to set up shops in Fantasy Island but looks like that isn't going to happen. They could shout to their heart's content. No oly shouts there, and no other NPC spam... perfect place for a market if you ask me...
Fantasy Island won't work.... missing warehouse NPCs and other store type NPCs. You have to leave the island to do anything like craft or put new stuff in your private store.

i can see other races but the dwarves? Can't they carry like everything? I can barely carry like 4k shots at a time, my gf has a dwarf and she carries thousands and thousands and thousands....
Indeed, there needs to be an option to disable oly shout when you're not interested in being notified that oly is going on. And there DEFINITELY needs to be an option to mute the 7 signs npc. They've been spamming their "the end of the world!" white chat for years and it's getting slightly boring (seems the 7 signs devs have left NCSoft anyway). And there also needs to be an option to disable their annoying asthmatic sounds without having to disable all sound effects every time you enter town >.<
I didn't notice Giran much fuller on Naia, really. Slightly, yeah ... maybe 10% more people compared to Teon, at most 20%. Nothing out of ordinary though; the usual day-to-day variation typically amounted for more than that.

Yes, but Naia merged only 3 servers and there was a big imbalance because Teon was bigger than the other 2 combined and ppl in Franz and luna gave up putting shop long ago because market was dead so they were doing trades more likely like me, talking to a friend who knows a friend who shouts in alliance, or in HV or something.
Personally I only have recruitment shop because the prices dont reflect yet the new realities on the ground, will take about a week for that to settle.

Haha me either this was what i loved most in the game and its back! The one thing that sucks is if you load intot he game you have to click walls to move, otherwise you click, click,click,click and keep clicking people!!!!!

Why woudl elss lag in giran matter, no one hunts near it and new people will eventually go there and crapa brick when they find people do play L2!

I love it!!! It reminds me of Gludio back in the C1 days. At least I don't get severe lag or crash like back then.
I like seeing hundreds of shops, but all nostalgia aside, you're right, we need to figure out a better way for buyers and sellers to market their goods. Forget walking, sometimes it's hard to see who is selling what.
And lately "/Target Clarissa" has become my favorite shortcut. We've gone from "Stay off of the Steps, you stupid %#($%&^!! " to "Stay away from the GK, you stupid %#($%&^!!!!!"
sigh, the prosperity was built from the scarfice of 4 servers... L2 has been the bes mmorpg in the past 7 years handsdown, but was not marketed properly... wow, aion, and ff14 were not even close... However, strong compeitions are looming... Tera, Blade & Soul (also from nc)... NC should buy out blue hole... or may be blue hole should buy out nc... and probably learn from Chinese about how to market games...

I fully expected this with the merged economies. A market adjustment/correction will eventually come, but given the amount of surplus buyers now on the server, there's no guaranty the prices will come down until the demand does.
If it helps, you're from Devianne where the prices for most items were going for all time lows. You can use Devianne market price as a benchmark for your purchases. Bartz also had cheap prices on some items, and if you're familiar with their market rates, you'll be fine.
That said, there will always be sellers who betray their ignorance and stupidity by selling items at well above the market rates. Like the idiot who was trying to sell a +11 SOV for 500M. If it were permissable to elbow him in his earhole while in a peace zone, I would have.
In the EU server Giran is not full. We have shops in other towns tho, including Aden, where are many.
It is far from what has been in the begining of L2 tho, where Gludio was full of NG chars selling and buying ng stuff...
These mergers only give the ilusion of an alive game, NCNA is a loss making business, years of neglect and complicity with the cheaters finally caught up with them.
Soon they will be closed down and we will have to move to some other game or company if L2 rights in NA/EU will be sold.
Who is rich enough to buy L2 rights and setup a serious business ? Good money can be made out of the fans in all those privates if you know how to treat your customers.

Well the fans are loyal to L2. We want L2 to go on forever. We love the back-story. We love the graphics. We love the PvE. We love the PvP.
NCKorea is powerful. Massive fanbase. Many servers. Many characters working together instead of lone wolfing it like in the US servers. Perhaps L2 is not made for US mentality.
Bots and adena sellers allow for lone wolves to exist. It is a US problem more than an L2 problem.
Legit players who started in L2 got fed up with NCWest not doing enough about the botters and many left.
I enjoy the game. Wish we could get the fans back. However over and over NCWest does not seem to "get it right", when it comes to their duties.
