I have been hearing "Soon" for the past 3 years.....so.....ya.
i think i remember Sace saying something about going to update the website when she first got the job...apparently that meant a new layout and updated fansite kits...not any actual updates...you know..the useful kinds. I think they even made it less useful since the server status isn't on the front page anymore.

Last I checked even the "fansite list" had a number of broken links. EllieBelly link has been broken for over a year.
was just pushing the "things to do" list up on the topic

things to do are:
- satify your customers
- do something for OUR money

we got 2 beefed up serves with 3 more hamsters running inside them. (but they removed a handful of others)

i guess thats what our money paid for.
Id like to point out that while I would love an official well-polished and updated information site, like they have available in other regions, I think we all know NCWest is not given the resources or budget to create anything remotely as useful Korea's KnowledgeBase.

When a community is still demanding things like better bot moderation, regular gm events, quick localization of new content - while simultaneously raging as hard as they can on the forums - well, expect some triage. A KnowledgeBase is not priority.

Lineage2 is a business - not a national government. The changes that happen need to generate REAL income per dollar spent, not just improve the quality-of-life of its current subscription base.

fanboi much?
Because I lobby for changes that will build a foundation for a growing subscriber base rather then cosmetic quality-of-life changes for peers unwilling or unable to gather the info through translation or networking?

Yeah. Im a fanboi alright. :P
Take the subscriptions of 2 accounts ($30), and pay some student 1 hour a month to do a few updates, and taadaaa alot more then they have put into it.

While the changes may not directly gain the company money, they may help retain their customer base, thus paying for itself.

Or take whats going on right now. Take the time and money to go fix the TW badge problem, or save that money, and take a PR nightmare, the loss of more revenue then they are saving, and a black mark that may cause people to think twice before purchasing that next game from their company.

no because you are against them doing anything the community is complaining about right now and make excuses for them (hence TW badges, website update, etc.)

I've attempted that since the very beginning, for the first year you had some voice but now...... Now it's like they come in and punch the clock for eight hours then head home.
