All work on the site has been put on ice due to real life issues and due to NCSoft's great reputation of asking their customers to bend over every time they mess something up.
Until NCSoft gets this sorted out, I will not update, correct or add new data on my site and I will not reply to any PM's regarding my site.

NCSoft's lack of care for their customers
NCSoft's lack of care for their own EULA, they merged 8 servers into 2 and they still let the botters bot like it's legal even with 6x the amount of GMs that we had before the merge unless NCSoft got rid of the extra GMs to get more money into their pockets
NCSoft's NA producer Cabal only cares about his own paycheck

We were told that no items would get removed from our characters and after the merge we found out that several items were missing.
One of the items are items you can only gather once every 2 weeks and the number of items you get is between 1-50 depending on your luck and activity during the Territorial Wars that lasts for 2 hours at a specific time.
Here is Cabal's response to that:

if the official site had all that information I wouldn't mind but since the official site is like 3 years out of date with the game information this is a big loss

so start your own site. his site has been continuously attacked by russian IP's and he has also funded the thing himself.
its his site and he can do what he wants. taking down the single most useful informative site around is a pretty big stance.

It's his website. are you paying for it? Are you working on it? Then why should you have more say in it then he does? If he wants to take it down power to him. I hate the idea, cause that's basically the 1 site i use. But i respect it, cause NCSoft has been getting off too light with the pile of ***** they have up as a site, and basically using site like his as a crutch. The stuff NC has been doing combined with the loss of one of the best info sites for the game... I'd be willing to bet it would make a couple more people quit the game which would cut into NC's bottom line... which may motivate them to do something...
Then again it could just help them close down the servers...

I donated because I think it was worth it. and I still dont regret doing it. If this game seems to close anyway because the publisher wants it, ill move on to another one - what would be a sad step :(

It's a statement to show exactly how much Customer Support NC West has. Can't even update their site for a game they are selling to the masses, while at the same time, a customer in his free time makes a site that blows their's away.

it is in fact, your previous judgement that spurred a genuine question and then requested an honest opinion with a little form of common decency and respect.
You cannot know what demands will or will not be met, far as i recall, it's rare for many people to have any form of precognative abilities, specially ones in which you seem to know for certain of the events that will unfold reguarding the results of lineage II itself from this moment until it's officially closed and done and no more of it every excists again.

he is/was a paying customer.. and he/was host of valueable tools in which helped ncsoft and the community considerably, and in turn, didn't want to put up with any **** at all.
The result of silently taking it down would have been the worse thing to do, and people would have been hounding for a reasoning behind it as well, Slapping up what he did was relatively straight to the point, and i have frequently heard echoed throughout the community as well.
L2WH wasn't bad, but as you said yourself, it was a pay site. He was making money to give you the info you wanted.
rochand.com had no ads/nothing. And it had info as up to date as possible. Sure it didn't keep track of your items or find prices in town, but at the same time, did L2WH have an accurate Skills description? Which was updated everytime NC made a change? Don't think I rememeber that part.
As for the site. He payed for it on his own (well some donations) and worked on it in his own time. Now that he has left L2, like many others have this last week, he could choose to:
A) Delete the entire site, and have everyone wonder where it went
B) Delete the site, and post a farewell stating why he left the game and that if things don't change he won't be back.
I don't really see the blackmail/extorsion people are talking about. Fix the problems, and he comes back to play, and he continues to work for free to help others. Don't fix the problems, he goes on to play some other MMO, and maybe they have a new website to help them out assuming there is a demand for such a site.

Don't like the truth about NCSoft and Lineage2? Then don't read it, but please don't come here and cry that I took down the site that you used to find all your infos on.
Your forum account says that it was created in 2005, but I have a feeling you haven't seen all the ignorance that NCSoft has shown us for years...or you have done like 70%+ of the server is doing and botted up all your chars, bought adena to get everything you want and using radar/controll to do the PvP for you.
We where promised allot of things and so far we have gotten the exact opposite of what they have said.
Sad to see the site shut down i used it often as the information on it was far more accessible and easier too use then L2's own site. But i support the owner 100% the TW badges loses and the attitude given back towards the player base because of their errors after the player base asked about the items is just unbelievable, and inconceivable in any company that considers itself one of the big players in its industry.

NC hasn't changed in the last 5 years. At all. The community needs resources like yours - NC could care less.
I know that the community needs the site and the info it contains, but by forcing that message up on the site it will reach allot of players that doesn't visit the official forums and make them aware of the situation...hopefully they will speak up and let NCSoft know that what they are doing is wrong.
That being said, I have gotten several PMs and e-mails from people that support my move 100%.
I don't know if I can continue to play L2 without your site :( It was the best, most up to date, most accurate and complete site out there for the information that you covered. I don't even know of another site even close.
If I needed to compare armor/weapon stats and bonuses, which sa crystal for a particular sa, accurate recipes, skills omg skills :( etc. etc. it was all there. Thank you for all the work you put in to provide http://lineage2.rochand.com :o
well, I just hope ncsoft can fix THEIR mistakes and soon(tm). Maybe if they do we might see lineage2.rochand.com again. I hope so.

I support your move too. It is a shame that the official NCWest page does not have the detailed information about the topics you present. Not that your site is all inclusive, but no site official or fan-based is all inclusive. However by gleaning the information from both you get the big picture.
I do not support third party programs or know what means pmfun or l2wh used to get their drop and mob data. However I am thankful for their work. It allows a player to know where to go to get the supplies they need to enhance their game.
My account is five years old as well. Actual played time is around 1½ years. It is a shame NCWest did not do more for advertising, as well as more vicious measures against botters. Could have kept the fanbase L2 used to enjoy.
Back in the day, it used to be hard to log on to some of the more popular servers like Teon and Bartz, RIP.

Well instead of making pithy comments, why don't you make a site of equal quality to provide to the community.
I can see why Rohirrim made this move. Why worry about developing content for a site when the company couldn't care less, as you sort of put it, about game support and customer satisfaction?
The funny thing is, your move does nothing except remove that information to the player base. Although it is your website, you can do whatever you want with it, I couldn't care less. I just hope you understand that nothing is going to change, expect the fact your site, that I know nothing about, is gone. You believe that NCSoft is going to change anything, which is why you stated you would bring it back up. Lets get real here.
I'm an old school player, although this account doesn't show it. People stopped using Lineage2.com because it was useless from day one. No information was ever given, posts were just deleted and ignored. The "hardcore" players became censored, ignored, and disrespected at every turn. This brought on L2Oprhus, for those of you who know it. Not because the players wanted to talk smack, although that was a nice perk, but because they wanted information uncensored.
Just like every other "extra" website out there, you will be missed but nothing will change. Good luck with whatever you do; just know that you have changed nothing inside NCSoft. Oh, NCSoft, prove me wrong.
