Would you prefer every event everyone gets a full set of epics and vesper and 10000 vita pops and maintenance pots?
Yes hair and face changing potions are vendor trash, but even a basic understanding of economics, even MMO economics would make it inherently obvious that you cannot give everyone a vesper weapon every day for pressing one button without it ruining the game.
Some people will get lucky, and get vesper or blessed freya neck (in last event), it probably won't be you, but that doesn't make the event a bad idea, or the reward structure inappropriate.

No, but 1-2 vita pops won't hurt the game economy at all first because they are not tradeable and 2nd because you run the effect of a vita pop very fast, besides they did intent to do the leveling much faster don't they? well then do it...
Other things they could give out is hats, googles, etc... cosmetic stuff that basically does nothing to the game or the game balance but "make u look cool and feel good" How would that hurt?
I know there would be QQ I make my living crafting hats, come on get serious please....
Last events were vita as we requested, some supercool, but that was some overdoing it. Freya event gave some vita, IMO in the right balance. However, now we are in the desert again, please make it so that at least those 10 min vita potions drop more often. After all, with the 30 min cooldown, wont make much of a difference, because ppl dont level 10 min, stop for 20, would they ?

Hum, all I know is that when we go someplace ppl talk about it only as in like "please dont go now, I still have 10 min of vita potion, lets stay 10 more min".
Perhaps soloers can do 10 min exp 20 min break...

Looks like good event! At least from long time an event where not only the XP in the focus. S gem and Attribute Stones are uber super ideas!

Wonder what the odds are on the vesper weapons. I imagine it will be the same as the neckless in the freya event. As far as I can tell nobody got one from the freya event. I know i would like to get a few of those buff potions.
Personally, I don't give a **** about the vesper weapons, but I'm extremely tired of the useless event items that are thrown in to us on the NA/EU servers. Based on my experiences here, I will never play another MMO that was created for a Korean market first. Those guys in Korea play an entirely different Lineage 2 than we do, and now, six years later, I still don't understand why the discrepancies exist. Throw in the fact that every other country that gets a license to run L2 has more items and more ways to play than the US does and it just gets more confusing and infuriating.
If you've ever seen that bug in game that allows you to view all the skill animations and event items, you've seen just how much this game has to offer behind the scenes. There are tons of other things that can be used for event items, but for some reason in the NA/EU market, it always comes down to the same old tired nonsense. I can't accept that the NCWest team has no ability to use those items simply because no one from NCWest has ever said that their hands were tied in this manner. Time after time it's always been some misguided player that makes some lame excuse about what the NA guys can and can't do. Unless you work for NCWest you have absolutely no idea what they're actually capable of.
I've waited for almost 2 years to see what event goes along with the cubic fragments that are in the warehouse. I'm still waiting to see what the dimensional merchant is all about. Sure this may be all old stuff for the Koreans, the S.E.A, and the Russians, but around these parts it's some kind of adamantium christmas present with the label "FANTASTIC ITEMS AND FUN INSIDE" that's just there to tick off the curious and hopeful.
I pray that you guys can do better than hair dyes and other bull_ _ _ _, throw-away, inventory wasting items like them. I'm not asking for super items, I'm just asking for useful ones. I've seen the list, I KNOW the game offers much better stuff than this.
On Russian forums we have crazy idea that NCWest will start some new server with another business model. Who knows, maybe if it happens, we will see those items that are already in the client for a very very long time.

just go to l2 fashion look at all the different accessories that we don't have. why can't we get any of that as event rewards? all those agathions that we don't have? Those pets we got to try on the pts server before this? colored names? all this cool stuff and we get crappy junk for event "prizes" and some long shot at actual things we might want/need (if they remember to put it in game).

the even realy freaks me out stupid pigs comming everytime when i respawn a gloomy one.. i got 13 apigas 1 golden apiga , and i used 3 scrolls of each for it(3 acc's)
FYI, you can also find event items such as scrolls and potions while hunting regular monsters. So when you run out of the scrolls that your acquire from tigers or from the NPC, go hunting and you will find more. :)

10 minutes extra leveling time at level 2 vit when you log in in the morning?
the only event that was extremely useful for any active player was the medal event (done twice, by the way), in which players were rewarded according to the number of collected medals, and everyone could see exactly what it takes to acquire a desired item. And the rewards were actually worthwhile, i.e. lvl 11/12 soul crystals (they were really hard to obtain because of raid boss farmers that monopolized boss spawns).
Due to that event, I got my first lvl 12 soul crystal and finally put special ability on my weapon (in no way I could get it before). That's why I call that event undeniably useful: because the reward did help me progress in game. It really meant something, and I knew what I had to do to obtain it (i.e. how many medals I had to farm or purchase).
All other events were pretty frustrating (yet more or less time-consuming), with random awards, which meant (considering the ill-famous Korean random) they were absolutely useless.
Once again: these chests that take N quest items to obtain and give a 1 out of 10000000 chance of getting something moderately useful are getting way too old.
Can we please have at least one RANDOM-FREE event? Is this so difficult to implement?

Do the matriarchs in a party everyone in party gets apigas. We did about 50 tonight and got over 200 apigas and 36 golden apigas. If you have a full party you don't even have to use the powerful potions to kill the matriarch or the biggest tiger to beat the timer for double rewards.
the best reward so far was 5 or each apiga from a large bonus tiger and 8 apiga from a bonus small tiger.
However the rewards so have sucked for me. Hair and face change potions. 3 milk bottles and 2 S gymstones.
By the way, what level buffs are in a milk pot? Empower in particular.
Im curious about that myself. Of its like gm buffs that would be awesome. However I imagine they are the same as the fruit cocktails were earlier this year
Yes, thankfully I was invited into a party and was shown that matriarchs is where it is at. Three hours or so later...
For my lowbie self it was a nice boon. The golden apiga gave nice stone boxes. Netted 12 million selling stones. Great for C grade. Will have to get in a good party again.
After all the apiga though I am disappointed. Only 7 milks, and I already had 2 of them before the party. Oh well. Still up millions of adena from where I was. And gained vit for being in town. Nothing but win.
Crazy I saw one baby matriarch and then white tiger with both of them being the timed test. Dropped 11 apiga of both kinds. Did not see another drop like that again. But we were killing sleeping them too fast to really see the drops well.

I am sure it is quite random. However we seemed to summon pigs most often when more than one party member tried to summon at the same time. Or also right after the last tiger was done. Give a pause after each tiger. Might be a way of telling the players they are being piggish, :D.

get a full party or atleast 6 beat the timer with regular potions, on the matriarch tigers. We did a bunch tonight and on the bonus large tiger with a timer I was getting 11 of each coin. In a couple hours in giran I got almost 200 gold apigas, so the big tigers in groups is the way to go.
I need to sleep more. Ran through 260 some matriarch scrolls between a group of us last night, quite the grind. Eleven element stones a few S stones. Either way, the last two days turned me into a rather prosperous C grade toon. Should set me on my way to level 75. Net worth Sunday about 6 M adena. Now have 50+. Great event NCSoft :D

Its not possible to adjust the rewardboxes with armorpieces or weapons to the grade of your Char? As example: S-Grade Char get S-Grade equipment. B-Grade Char get B-Grade equipment. Not all player are allready in LvL 80+
all the better rewards are just for Chars in higher LvL. Icarus, Vesper, Moirai, Dynasty. And what if my Char is below S80? Its not possible to adjust the rewardboxes with armorpieces or weapons to the grade of your Char? As example: S-Grade Char get S-Grade equipment. B-Grade Char get B-Grade equipment. Not all player are allready in LvL 80+

I have turned in over 8000 apigas and over 1000 Gold apigas. The element stones and S gems are great, but you would think at 20 apigas a box in 400 tries I would have gotten atleast a soul crystal.

On topic, I don't really mind the reward system. The items are a bonus to regular grinding. The only downside I can see is that I have to take so much time to turn in all the stuff I get. But on the other hand, it makes it harder for botters to get the rewards too since they have to pull their trains away from farming to do the matriarchs.

We need a separate 'bytch about event rewards' section for every single event :p
Lots of element stones and vitality maintenance potions, and a chance at S80 gears and soul crystals... what is wrong with that? Oh... you need to spend 5 seconds deleting a pile of hair dye potions... that makes it all bad then.
So what would you propose the purpose of an event be?
It's not like they had a warehouse full of pace and hair change potions they needed to get rid of. No we dont have to participate, however you would think that someone would have gotten 1 of the top 3 prizes by now.
I have turned in over 8000 apigas and over 1000 Gold apigas. The element stones and S gems are great, but you would think at 20 apigas a box in 400 tries I would have gotten atleast a soul crystal.
It's not as much the fact that the potions are useless, but it's yet another event NcWest has advertised prizes, that are not statisticly available to 99.99% of the player base. Thats if the odds are even that good which I doubt.
I know that someone in my clan got the vesper box from it. Overall though, probably my least favorite event.

if you expect NCsoft to give a chance of getting something worthy from every 20 regular apigas you turn in, everyone would do tigers for 10-20minutes and get them and it would have no worth or strike really low value such as the elemental stones you get from the golden apigas. (as you know element stones prices dropped increasingly day by day)
and its not like the dynasty/icarus/vesper weapons are nearly impossible to get such as previous events of getting Blessed Freya Necklace, AQ, etc.

Aiming events at lower lvls when most of the ppl playing the game is 80+ is silly.
Don't expect events to cater to ppl that have played the game for a month.

I must truly have misunderstod something basic about this event. Because how does one toon make 100m a day off this event in 6-8 hours of playing? For 100m you need like what, 50 elemental stones? (stones 2m each)
If we say that I'm lucky and get 1 stone every time I turn in 20 golden apiga, I still need 1000 golden. How many matriarcs do I need to sleep for that? Do I need my own 9 man party not sharing the apigas with anyone else?
I'm sorry but for a single account player like me the numbers just aren't adding up. To get 1000 golden apiga a day I would need to spend 24/7 just sleeping tigers. And where would I find time to kill mobs?
For the record I spent 4 hours yesterday sleeping tigers in a party and it netted me less than ~150 golden apigas. The thought of doing 5-7 times as many tigers every day makes me ill.
This is why the event sucks. At least for me and a lots of others that don't have multiple accounts.

i get around 100 g.apigas per hour which is 5 boxes
divine/dark = 2 ; fire/water 2.3~2.5 ; wind/earth 3.3
so i ll just say i get around 14mil per hour average of 2.5mil per box sounds fair
6 hours = 6x 14 = around 84mil per hour. then u got the regular apigas
which u get around enough to make 15mil selling fresh milk

So, using as an average case

Using rainyy's prices its about 2.4m/box (if you add gemstones to equation), so the net profit from golden is ~7m/hour. Prices of element stones drop fast, a lot for selling at market, gemstones were overpriced and party reached an end. Dunno how many ppl will buy milk since it's so easy to get a lot from event.

My 4 hours yesterday were admittedly done in a clan party with 7 people that all took turn doing their tigers. 50-60 per hour seems reasonable in a full party.

I believe it is possible to get 100+ an hour gold apigas if you are the one spawning the scrolls. There are different points of view going on here. The people who have one account killing tigers for hours and getting one amount, and others who have two or more acounts getting a different amount.
So both side are correct but speaking from different points of view. Unfortunatley this happens way to much in here without people clarifying their point of view.

1 account. buy 100 matriarch for 30k each. you get roughly 100/hour ( you wont even finish your scrolls cus many others have theres)
so imagine 2 accounts with macros. some people just suck at event and qq after doing it for an hour or two and end up with 8mil or something lol
oh and i barely get s gems. out of like couple hundred golden boxes i opened i got like 20 gem stones (2 per box so 10 boxes essentially)
and even so, i sell them around the same price as divine stones (like 725k each x2 = 1.5mil)
of course overtime you make less money, its common sense, more supply from almost every player (element stone) = value lost

Wind Stones = 2.8
Divine = 1.5
so yea.. not as much money now for those who are trying to make money lol.
basically using your own ele stone is smarter now :)
1 Hour Hunting gets me enough scrolls to last 2 hours Tigersleeping. Thats my daily routine in the moment. The Vitpotions keep me at Full Vit longer, so I just enjoy hunting.
The Tigersleeping is a bit booring but Vit-Potions, Milk, Element Stones and the hope for a lucky draw keep me at it.
I like the Event overall. :-)

Full party takes ~30 sec / tiger average (counting some miss-summons, pigs, a bit of afk for restocking and small breaks, ppl leaving and reinviting others etc.). So it's about ~100 tigers / hr imho.
The cost is a bit harder to calculate. You mean the cost for the party or for you ? And the party is always full ? And all ppl summon ? And all ppl bought scrolls ? (maybe they have them from hunting). That that kind of calculation has no particular meaning, there is not some "average" case, cuz not any "general" conditions in place. For an hour of killing tigers in full party with turns, each member has to XP for 20 mins to get all the scrolls needed (maybe more than needed). Better to ignore summoning cost, it's so small compared to event profit.
Anywayz, assuming that it's a full party where all are summoning in turns, you probably need about 10-15 scrolls / hr. So it's still a good profit. Even if you have to buy all the scrolls, you still get a nice profit cuz you will be the only summoner thus getting ~ 2x apigas than usuall, compare the cost of 100 scrolls to the profit from 4-5 boxes.

It was clear that I was refering to the apigas / boxes per toon not per person. If you control a full party you can get 450 / hr :)

You don't get 100 / hr in general. You get close to 100 when you are the only summoner in a very organized, very fast, non stop, full party. And even if you get close to 100 for 1 hr you can't keep up that pace for many hours. I was referring to an average i.e. (total number of golden) / (total time spent for event). Not the max you can make for 1 hour.
Apart from that, I agree with you at the QQ comment. You cant (and shouldn't) get rich playing in some lol parties 1 hr / day, it doesn't make any sense. Join 1 good party, play dedicated for 2-3 hrs / day and in 2 weeks event time, you make a very nice stock of element stones, buff milk and have a chance for a nice weapon / armor (or just sell everything for a nice profit).
According to my "average" scenario, playing the event that way is more than enough to make a full element armor (5x60) or a 150 element weapon. Making a full element armor (or adding full second / third element) or a 150 weapon in less than 2 weeks time for free (no costs for shots / tp and no downtime) playing in town 2-3 hrs a day is fine as a reward.
I would rate the event as good overall. It's very easy to take part, no level / class favoritism, the more time you invest the more you get, the more organized /dedicated parties you make the more you get. Most important, from my point of view, very easy to calculate the total earning by just counting your "personal" rate of golden / hour ant the time willing to invest. My plan is to get as many stones I can to add second element to armor from all the stones and keeping all the wind / earth in case I won't find to buy an elemented weapon so I can add element myself.
BTW, WTB Icarus Spirit or Icarus Hall Acumen 150 wind :p
Noticed that on Monday night, even though Event has a week left to run, mobs have stopped dropping Event items.. But there is nothing in the Event Announcement from the Magic Research Institute saying when mobs might or might not drop summoning scrolls and Powerful Sedative Potions. They also have admitted nothing about how the mobs in Aden have these scrolls and potions which are, we presume, the property of the Institute. Very suspicious.

But I play now since 6 months? Guess the events arent made only for ppl who have played for 6 years? Of course, I could sell what I find (If i find something. But I doubt it) and buy then what I need. But those Items doesnt have the same meaning to me.
Then keep it until you can use it.... When you can actually use it you will feel rewarded not only because of the effort you put into the character which is now top level but also because there was a little extra incentive waiting for you in your WH all this time...
Yeah, I like this event. I constantly organize parties in giran first with clannies and allies and as they have to leave with other ppl too.
While i have 12 k apiga, I turned in all gold apiga i got and have like 45 wind stones, 35 fire and 35 dark (transformed them for easier storage) not to mention i sold many in the first few days when price was still ok to be able to buy at end better. I alos got like 24 or so gemstones, still have 12, the rest i sold in the begining as i said.
In a quick calculation it is same as farming fort furiously, but it is a change, I was tired of forts, even tho those give other things like a bit of XP and fame.
I like the event, nice ballance, you dont kill the economy, dont make it easy and while I had even in party ppl going AFK while shooting so scripting it is easy, i dont think bots had such a huge advantage as before. They cant turn in scrolls directly, so lessons are being learned.

I've fully elemented a whole set from this event for buttons, anyone who was in the element stone business pre-event has certainly lost out on a fortune! This event has effected the economy more than any event I've ever seen before, even the Freya event's effect on giant codexes!
Maybe its a positive efect for the most part since everyone can triple ele all their sets now and helps close the pvp gap. But in general its a huge hit to some people and significantly reduces the profits of others who hunt stones for their adena.

The event is generally very good, and its timing (right after server merges) could not be better.
Not as good as the other people are saying but got the dynasty fist weapons. Found out no one wanted it so free 3597 s crystals. Didn't save a pic but linked it in alliance.
Just keep an eye out for the ppl that shoot automatically. Try talking to them. No response? Kick em and see if they still wanna help kill tigers out of party :D
Most of them yeah. But sooner rather than later they check back and see they have been kicked, most I had half an hour or so of OOP help :)
You can see they are AFK because they hit pig too, but also from other signs.

First, I dont complain for the sake of complaining, but with a reason. If you think there are no cheaters in game, look again.
Second, the price for stones dropped about 40%, but that is normal, it will last a bit after event is over also, but it will be back to about previous price soon and will continue to rise, because of stronger demand and same drop places. Now stone traders should sell their gear to be able to get more because price will double from current levels pretty soon. Market was killed for dumb ppl, the smart ones will seize the opportunity to increase their profits.
Only thing that does drive prices down is the apiga prizes over the icarus and dinasty market as well as vesper where the prices were falling anyway, event will only accelerate the process, but not signifficantly.
About scripting I didnt mean macro, but the scripts for 3rd party programs that are theoretically not allowed.

i like to make some profit too .. but this is defnitly too much grind for me ... i spend a saturday afternoon (5h) in tiger shooting and got ~260 golden agipas, it was nice to get some stones .. but prolly nothing i wanna do again for 5h :) ... and some1 in the party had like 2k golden agipas from the event ...
Heh I bought some scrolls from a shop. As time went on however, I could not stand more than an hour of blowing hearts up tiger bums. In the end I sold many scrolls back at a loss. First few days it was several hours at a stint. But my time involved with the event dried up, even knowing it is quite worth the time spent. I am 300-350m to the good all things considered with this event. So it was great.
Looking forward to the grind again. Anything other than this event. Need to burn up a few more scrolls and a few thousand shot tonight after some real world business. Will be happy when the event is over.

stone, what stone? I raised my buy shop prices 3 times in a day (constantly the highest price in town), and got only a handful. People learned killing those puppy is just a waste of time.
Standing all day in town pushing one button repeatedly isn't fun at all. ><

I've farmed 5k apiga and around 300 golden apiga; got a dozen of stones, some buff/vit pots (as if I didn't have tons of buff scrolls/juices/coctails sitting in warehouse since past events) and a ton of worthless hair dyes.
Considering the time spent in town sleeping tigers, I could have farmed more stones while actually getting xp on main.
What a boring, mind-numbing, frustrating event with mostly useless rewards.
And don't even mention how much you "made" by reselling event items: what would you do without all those buyers with suspiciously bottomless wallets?
As I've written multiple times before, the only good events are those with determined rewards (e.g., "must turn in 1000 golden coins to receive Vesper weapon/soul crystal of your choise", something like that).

I already quit the event, well not really I just sell the scrolls now. Turned in over 15k apigas and the best thing I got was the milk. Dont get me wrong having only one account the milk is awesome. Though I would have thought that after that many I would have gotten atleast an SA crystal. I did enjoy the gold apiga though helped to upgrade my elements on my armor alot, atleast now for a (poor player) I have 3 elements on each piece of armor.
The inter-dimensional rift is apparently still open. As you can see, potions and scrolls are still dropping. However since there is event NPC has already left, these items are useless, so please ignore them.
EDIT: Also, they are only dropping on Chronos. They will stop dropping in 5 more hours. We will delete the items from your inventories during next week's maintenance.

Ignore them?!?!?! NCSoft can't you do your job right for once? you keep screwing everything up? first there were the seeds and fruits from the manor, afterward the quests and the Territory badges, now you can't even take care of an event....
and don't let me start about the bot policy you have, now you come out and say ppl will get a 7 day ban if they bot which is kinda like saying "hey just try and see if you like boting, if you're lucky and we don't catch you, good for you...if not we will give you a slap on the hands and you can try again in 7 days.....yey!!!" it was better when you were supporting them without saying anything except the same **** "we are trying to solve the bot problem".....

Indeed, it was a major lag problem in Giran, please make it impossible to summon next time in peace zones. With actual server populations and future lower ones it will always be a forgotten corner where everyone can summon tigers in peace. Or elephants, whatever...
