drop rate is much higher during "prime time" always has been..
I imagine there is a liimit to how many items that are allowed ingame at one time. As long as people are killing tigers at a good rate then the items will drop at a good rate. If people stop killing and just set up shop to sell then the server limit gets high and drops slow down. I know other games work like that but who knows. During peek times I would say alot of event items are being used ie.... tigers killed so drops pick up. Just my thoughts on how it works since every event like this starts out with very high drop rates then it falls off more and more as the event goes on.
They give 2 scrolls per account per 12 hours.... yet I can get 100+ in an hour hunting. Something wrong with the maths there... lol.
Perhaps they didnt lower the drop rate on aoe areas. It used to be like this before, I havent try aoe yet, but if drop is similar with regular mobs... then it is botched.

I think AOE areas have naturally lower drop rate so shouldn't matter. I'd expect maybe 1 matriach/5 normal and 100 pots an hour even in the best aoe spots.
Event items are dropping in mass quantities, i only played like 45 minutes yesterday cause I was very tired and got 15 gloomy matriarch scrolls and 18 baby tiger scrolls, along with 40 or so large sedatives...
