Update Server Restart - 10 - 14

The update server will undergo a restart on Thursday, October 14, 2010 at 4am PDT / 6am CDT / 7am EDT / 11am UTC/GMT. The server will be back online approximately 15 minutes later.

While the update server is down, users will not be able to enter the game. However, players already in-game will not experience any interruption.

Botters will be able to enter the game...they dont use update manager to start the game :P

people will use the rename l2.bin file to l2.exe and run it direct... reguardless

People don't already do this? I only run the updater on Tuesday, and load straight from the exe the rest of the week.

There have been so many issues with the updater lately everyone i know does that

did this happen??

Is this the reason for the "name change service" impossibility at the moment?

I'm guessing this will fix the "Unable to contact update server" error message that I seem to randomly get when I start Lineage 2?

Never noticed it. Was blasting hearts into tiger bums.

does anyone know why account services are not working? I tried to change my name and I always get an error and ask me to contact support!

Account services availability was delayed for a while longer but it should be up after the next maintenance. I updated the account services and server maintenance threads to reflect this a few days ago.
