I am organizing Dreadnought Class Based on the second to last weekend of October. This would be October 23/24. This is the last non-siege weekend of the month. I propose doing it on Sunday the 24th, as Sunday's usually work better for people.
We meet in Dion by the oly manager. This is fair class based. If someone gets low on points (3 points or lower) their enemy must relog to them to ensure we can keep class based going for everyone to get their matches and have fun.
Please send an in game mail to Hyperlite to let me know if you are going to participate. I try to send in game mails to everyone I know that is a DN, but participation is random.
We will start at the beginning of oly on Sunday, October 24 and go for as long as people can be on for it.

fair class based means allies are not taken into consideration. i fight the same way against my allies as i do neutrals and enemies.
if you or whoever you speak for does not want to participate, that is up to you.
on Teon, myself as well as krs (85 100% DN in exile) have been organizing this the same way for 3-4 months now. Most of the lower geared or neutral DN's have fun participating and learning how to compete in oly. We have had a very positive response from doing this.
Regarding your comment on relogging at 3 points or less, it has nothing to do with me trying to gather all of the points needed for hero. It is because we typically have 5 DN's participating and we try to keep the games going for as long as possible so everyone can have fun and get their matches.
Also, I don't have a single +30 skill, so you were quite misinformed there. And I have lost to krs which ended with him getting hero for the month, so its not a full on hand the hero to hyper and go on your way. I expect everyone who participates to fight and have fun.
if fair to you is everyone to run around naked with no grade poles attacking each other, then that is not gonna happen, and no other fair class based is held that way. krs and myself also help give pointers to some of the lower DN's who participate and ask questions, so it is also a learning experience for some people.
however, it is pretty sad that you come into this thread complaining about me organizing a fair class based, when it is open to anyone and everyone. I don't get fed by SH in open, and if i loose in the class based i am not hero. i don't see how anything i am doing or have been doing is in any way unfair, just because i put more time into my char over the last 6 years?
I never played on Teon and my information comes from those who have, and that (?mis-)information is often tainted by clan tags or other experiences.
If you are sincerely there for the fun and good of the game, then I applaud your efforts and will encourage my members to support it. My clan has many active warlords, including two 85 warlords, but neither have been 85 for long and don't have the gear nor OE'd skills to be competitive in oly vs other warlords who have been 85 for a long time. If you plan another cb this month, plz post the date/time. Thursdays and Saturdays work best for one of our 85s.

We are not like your clan which levels literally 10+ sorcs to 76 for the sole purpose of cb oly and never plays them again.
As for me, I am playing L2 7 days per week, I pvp every day, xp every day, raid most days. I am having a great time, as I did the last month on Franz. I love L2 and play it because, despite it's many faults, it is still the best MMO in existence and I will continue to play as long as that's the case. With that said, Tera is expected to come out soon and when it does, I will move to that game if it is anywhere close to as good as it seems. Between now and then, I plan to focus a lot more on the daily pvp which is a lot of fun for me, and less on oly which seems more like work. Besides I still have Dynasty armor, dynasty weapon, and nothing great in OE'd skills. It's clear with the server mergers, a LOT better gear is needed to win oly in competitive classes. I'm not going to buy adena, nor do I wish to spend all my remaining time farming when I could be having fun.

Then please suggest to him to follow the rules of our class based, because as far as i am concerned he can never come again. He purposely beat a low pointer who everyone was supposed to log to so that he could keep participating, leaving him at 0 points and 8 matches.
He also has a pretty big mouth, and it makes your clan look bad. He/She sure had a problem with me, talking a big game in white chat and thanking me for feeding him with class based in pms, only to not even break into my HP when he faced me and then stopped signing, while also still flaming me in white chat.
We have a set of rules that everyone follows to allow all participants the full experience of competing. After Lysandros came, i have 2-3 different low lvl DN's who no longer want to come because he doesnt follow the rules.
If your DN's want to participate, i dont care, but if they disregard the rules that everyone else has agreed to, there will be problems outside of the olympiad against those chars. This isn't a threat, as i am pretty sure it would be from all top clans who participate, its a request since u are the clan leader.
Did you speak to Lysandros before the matches informing him of the cb rules? Did he reply back to you that he understood and agreed to those rules? Most of my clan does not read these boards so unless you specifically had an agreement regarding this matter he would have not been aware.

I have known him for years and while he can be hot headed at times, I have never once known him to lie or break his word in any way. Otherwise the class-based oly is open to any who sign up. No i did not personally tell him the rules prior to him signing. However, he started signing and instantly began flaming me in white chat about the class based, so i find it unlikely he didnt read this thread as many of his flames were in regards to gear, lvl, and ski enchantments much like your original post in this thread was.
He got a low pointer who was at 2 points. L0ghan pm'd me and asked me to tell him to log because he was low. I told l0ghan to pm him and ask and i will also. I pm'd lysandros while buffing before my match and asked him to relog to l0ghan because he was low on points. I received pms back basically thanking me for the feeding and he will do as he wants. After this he killed L0ghan and pushed him to 1 point.
After the match l0ghan obviously pmd me with what happened. I didnt go in the next round as i was skipped and lysandros got l0ghan again. I personally pm'd lysandros again and asked him again to please log as he hasnt finished his matches. I received flames again and then he beat him again.
I never once was hostile to lysandros in any of my initial pms. After asking twice i purposely tried to get him in oly to see what his trash talk was all about. When i finally got him, i destroyed him extremely bad and talked a little trash, which in return he talked some back and stopped signing.
Regarding 5 DNs to keep classbased going, yes all we need is 5, and we typically barely have 5, so when some moron does what lysandros did it can end the entire competition because he put one DN to 0 points. This time it didnt happen thankfully, but most months we would have been screwed by his stupid behavior.
Regarding anyone being able to sign, yes this is true, but considering lysandros can not beat me, chulia, krs, or morlo, he wont be receiving any logs to him when he is low points due to his selfish attitude.
As i said, your DNs can feel free to sign, but dont think any of the DNs who organize the class based will look lightly on people who disregard the rules. If your guys cant follow the rules, then ill personally bring the fight outside of oly and we will see how much u guys like having sh breath down your necks constantly.
The class based is open to everyone, everyone follows the rules, everyone can parricipate. We perform all matches as fair as possible and no feeding happens. I dont see how your guys dont wanna follow the rules when it just cuts their own foot off.

A really Pr0 bot kills other bots to prove it is strong, not legits, that is lamest of the lame, I have no words to describe ppl that PK naked B graders coming to sieges for fame, no matter how bored you are some things you dont do if you want to have the respect of the ppl.

Rules of class based are very simply. We had agreement before with hyperlite that we dont use talismans in our fights and use it just against people who dont follow rules so basicly he dont have much chance to win.
We changed it to make cempetition more intresting. Talismans bring some luck factor and next month i think all be better prepared. Also shouts will bring some new blood into our cb.

I think I'm a fairly reasonable guy, and it seems you are too so I'll compose my reply below and end my discussion on this subject.
1. Pretty sure Lysandros has never read official forum in his life. If he has, most likely it was following a link someone sent to him in msn or he saw in vent. In short, I'm quite confident he never saw this thread and still has not.
2. He came to the cb because you pm'd him and invited him. It seems you did not inform him of your "rules" so he played by NC Soft rules. He did not show up with the understanding he was going to log to anyone. He knew he was severely outgeared and just came for a few rounds of fun. You need to accept there may be unwelcome attendees, and they may not agree to your rules. You should come out ahead if the odds break close to even. You have the stronger warlords and should gain far more then you lose, although it is disruptive to lose a player from cb.
On my past servers, Franz and Lionna, there was absolutely zero respect between enemy clans. Personally I like what you are doing here with the cb, and I like the idea of having respect between enemies. I remember at the beginning of L2 when after a pvp we would rez our opponents and say "gf" and mean it. That was....a long time ago.
If your guys cant follow the rules, then ill personally bring the fight outside of oly and we will see how much u guys like having sh breath down your necks constantly.
