So, I'm trying to do a quest and it isn't progressing properly. I submit a petition with a detail explanation of what is going on. Petition gets answered with "please give the error message". Well, there isn't an error message but I describe the problem again.
Response #2: Please do a check file and if it still isn't working petition again. This, of course, doesn't help.
Response #3: Delete a couple and do a check file and that will reset your window placement so that the hidden window will show.
I swear the GMs must use a non-sequitur generator to answer petitions.
I can appreciate that but the actual quest isn't important. I was able to complete it by dropping it and retrying it a couple of times. It's a low level quest so no real big deal.
However, the point of this was to question how the GMs handle petitions. I guess they just want you to submit useless info until you run out of petitions and go away.

It's a 'low level' quest. No one does 'those' any more lol
haha, let them work on the bots and auto PvP programs
I had something similar happen way back when the Song of the Hunter quest series was actually worth doing. I gathered all the items required for the particular quest, but the NPC would not accept them to complete it, so I petitioned a GM about it.
The response that I got was basically to the effect of "We know it's broken... the solution is to delete the quest items and choose another quest. Don't try to complete that one again."

Hey, waves.......
Did you forget? The ingame petition system is for important now issues, like....... /Scratches head
Well the ingame system is failed, because you don't know who you're talking to and once the session is closed their is no record. So really i don't know why we even have it. It's as useful has a [923] in the wind.
And the support ticket system is for everything else.
