Whoa! thank you for the welcome. I did not expect this. This community seems to be very positive here (compared to other MMO's).
If I find myself in need I'll take you up on your offer Kirill, thank you very much. I am on Chronos Mao or else I would take you up on your offer as well.
well This is NikkySix sad. She missed the weekend, and I have not have had much time to play this last week, and I did not play these last 3 days.

I think something might be broken with the game, because I have not had a SINGLE good grinding session yet, and I have leveled up to 34 already. I spent my time mostly running around and figuring out the mechanics/features of the game. There seems to be so much content at these levels but it seems that I cant experience it because leveling is too fast. Idk maybe the game is designed that way so you would need to make several characters to see all of it. I dont know...
I also purchased a chest piece for ~130k adena before I found out about common items. oops
I have a question. When is Nevits blessing worth it? I am assuming at late levels? Now its just not even needed at all, and I think I might need all the adena I can get.
Also here's a little glitch I found. Idk if its caused by my hardware or its on the game itself. While wearing the halloween event hat if I would take it off in the middle of combat the hat would disappear but the glow would still remain, giving you a "holy" aura. This is Holy Nikky

Thats all for this time, hopefully by next time I'll have my second class change. see ya around.

Greetings sir
if you dont mind a rather lengthy and long winded post, i shall attempt to digress some of the aspects of the game from 1-75 for you that you may and may not see...
first of all, you are quite right, a lot of the content of the game is very quickly and easily skipped over. areas 1-20 which are packed with mobs seldom go challenged, because its easier and faster to do 1-20 in 20 mins doing the quests, for free, at profit. just not worth it to gear a character in any sort of good stat gear in low levels.
this echoes through the higher end content too, common items being so good for so cheap. one makes money using common items and AOEing (in a lot of zones its much more profitable to AOE than to solo target hunt - except on specific clases). for example in common equipment for an expenditure of about 150k adena total (weapon included) you can kill about a room's worth of mobs and make that profit back. its not straight adena but its something you have that will be of value to someone else - seal stones. you get this in Catacombs or Necropolis, and there are 4 really good ones you should pay attention to, and forget the world around you due to them.
you may have noticed you get some buffs from the NPCs - these are top quality buffs do not take them lightly. you are killing faster and surviving MUCH better with these. get to know your support class characters from some of the players you talk to. find out how they work by making an alt if you like. they can be very fun to play.
there are 4 stages of growth for you; first class change, second class change, 3rd class change, and post 3rd class.
the 2nd class change is a series of quests designed to break your soul. they are long, tedious, and can make you wretch when you figure out you need to go back to an area you JUST CAME FROM to repeat AN ACTION YOU JUST DID for a different result.
but life gets real good after that. monsters get a bit smarter and tougher. weapons become more versatile and flexible (and expensive). this trend continues again through B and A grade, leading to the penultimate gear your S grade. this gear comes with a change of class into a new more potent class, where you are able to increase your capacity by upgrading your skills not simply with SP, but with special enhancements to decrease the cost/increase the land rate type of effects. its very effective to some skills. get to know your 2nd class skill set in great detail, so that you may intelligently increase your potency at 3rd class change.
having said all that you will start to see a slowdown in the rate of exp you gain, sometime around level 50's. this levelling stage has fewer available areas to hunt in for certain classes and can lead you to start looking for groups to hunt in higher zones until you can hunt in those zones solo.
as a melee character you would do well to examine the characteristics of some mobs to better determine your levelling spot. look for low pdef monsters, or monsters weak to your weapon. if you have a clan or levelling group, find ways to kill a load of mobs all at once using all your powers combined. learn from your friends and enemies alike.
use the in-game map. it contains a lot of useful details about your quests, your areas, territories and raid boss locations. generally sell the blades and armor pieces you find to the nearest merchant NPC until you hunt in the level 80+ zones where those items are actually worth some money.
lastly you WILL find some very bad attitude players out there. now that they know your name, know youre casual, and know your general location, they might come looking for an easy kill. it happens. not frequently, and generally not to everyone, but it happens. dont be mad, just brush it off to players bored out of their skulls who will be gone soon. ask them for their gear, you just might get a good handout.
i hope you continue to enjoy lineage2 despite the occasional curve ball that gets thrown.
