Thanks for not even answering one of my questions, lemme sum it up again:
1. Which Dagger Class would be suited for solo / small scale / group pvp ?
2. Which Buffer would work nicely with that Dagger class?
And 3. What are the major benefits and drawbacks?
1. he did answer your question. all of the daggers are fine for pvp, just read the skills list at rochand and see which ones special buffs you want and would better suite your playstyle.
if u mean which dagger is good for ganking, then all are. if you mean which dagger is good in pve, then they all are. if you mean which dagger is good in mass pvp, they all are. it depends on your playstyle.
2. its prety obvious in the 100000 threads already on this forum that a wc is the better boxed buffer. however, if it was me and i was going to box 2 buffers, id box a prophet and se, as the se can choose 3 other skills from other healers and u will have 2 good prophecies and get all the buffs u could ever want.
3. look at the skill lists on rochand and decide for yourself. no one can answer which is better except you because only u know what playstyle u prefer.
edit: also, we have a player question section for a reason...

+1 and forum creds.
all the daggers are **** strong classes. just tiny differences here and there that give flavour. such as level 7x forgotten skill sets, and level 79 skill, also each class's sub skills play a role.
if you negate those things and simply are asking about a PKer dagger to do small scale pvp, then really throw a dart at a board, it makes little difference.
re: buffer, Hyperlite said it best. the advantage to Prophet is additional elemental resist buffs (should you need them) however if you are running with sub skill triggers and judicators and archers and all kinds of overlords and summoners etc, you might want to keep those resist buffs off so that you may accomodate the plethora of buffs available from each of the classes. there are only so many buff slots.
if i were to pick a dagger to play today i'd pick Darkelf. with Earth Dagger. i'm going with the theory that evasion stun is an earth attack.
sounds good to me. evading all those low levels attacks means i'd be a god among ants. in theory anyway.
for PvE I would say TH becuse of there Atk.speed. for when it comes to pvp I would pref. Go with the DE dagger for smale scale pvp as I think there skills are more suited.
But for larger scale PvP I would go with the TH even if they are lacking a stab skill at the end the Mirrage skill is indeed very nice when alot of people are attacking you and retargeting is not the easiest, Also they can carry alot more CP pots.
for pvp it's super nice to have SE to give mp...
just have to add gsap.
for instance I can duo 80 rift or GC with just my SE, because I can give myself real heals and bless the blood as needed, and stigma high pdef mobs, and mp for toggle/debuff/skills; I would not survive these places as light armor class with only WC. WC is convenient for pve but lacks heals and ability to give mp.
as for which dagger, the elves have a certain skill (Focus Death) that makes them hit hard as heck that TH does not have, but very good point that TH can carry a lot more pots (way more con, also good for +str, +dex tats with little loss of con). TH has more survivability with mirage; the elves are even more deadly but easier to kill. anyway, TH is fine. all the daggers are good, but GH hits the hardest.
warcryer is the best buffer in game and will be in the next patch.
vr + cov + haste.
and it depends on how you play your character
you cant ask people which dagger is better, every class has their own advantages and disadvantages (such as STR/CON/DEX) and gameplay
If you're planning on taking your dagger all the way to 83+, I'd seriously consider a Plainswalker/Wind Rider myself. The combination of Wind Riding and Focus Death is awfully potent. Wind Riding is far superior to any of the other dagger class' 83 skills, and pushes Plainswalkers/Wind Riders into extreme relevance instead of a second-class dagger.
They are not an easy road however compared to the other two. They hit quite softly in comparison growing up compared to the other dagger races until they reach 78 for focus death, where they still hit softer, but more often than Ghost Hunters. Grinding with normal melee hits is quite tedious and more expensive shot-wise for a Plainswalker in comparison to the other two Dagger choices. They don't have anywhere near the survivability/durability of an Adventurer, as things like the Adventurer's carrying capacity for cp pots, raw hitpoints due to the racial CON advantage, and Mirage aid GREATLY to their overall toughness. Truly Wind Riders/Plainswalkers aren't as powerful as either of the other daggers until they hit 83, where in my opinion they match or supersede them in some cases for lethality in open PvP.
Why? Getting up close and personal before getting killed is the mantra of dagger players. When all the pieces are together at level 83, nobody closes on a foe consistently like a Wind Rider. The combination of the highest base runspeed in the game coupled with Wind Riding allows them to absolutely fly on the battle field, with the highest chance of not getting plowed over by other enemy melee skills. Coupled with their already ridiculous evasion they are the one class that can avoid a huge amount of normal swings too. Where they lack in Critical Power passives or base strength statistic they make up for in finesse and closure rate.
It IS important to note that Adventurers, while having the weakest of the 83 skills, are the fastest dagger on the battlefield for 15 of the 30 seconds of Exciting Adventure due to Dash (66 runspeed). With that said, they still are far more susceptible to defending melee opponents' skills as they get in range to shadow step to their target (40% skill evasion vs 75% on Wind Riding), and their stabs lack Focus Death at endgame.
Wind Riding is 30 seconds of 75% chance of complete evasion of opponent's physical skills, 50!!! Runspeed, 20 evasion and 20% increased chance of deadly attacks.
Ghost Hunting is 60% physical skill evasion, only 33 runspeed (and they are slightly slower running racially), 15 evasion, and 40% chance of Deadly attack.
Exciting Adventure is only 40% physical skill evasion, only 20 runspeed, 15 evasion, 30% chance of Deadly attack.
All three of the daggers play slightly different, and all three are extremely overpowered currently. I think of Adventurers as Brute Force (F1 F2 F3 F4 F5 F6 F7 are you dead yet?) daggers, with Ghost Hunters and Wind Riders as finesse daggers (skill order and timing matters a LOT more for these two). All three will get you some frags at endgame, but in my experience it's most difficult to stop a skilled endgame Wind Rider from killing their target out of the three dagger types.
Dagger question. What does actually the skill from Treasure hunters Critical Blow do ?
I tested a Treasure hunter a while back and when I used it , it dident increase my critical attak rate in the character screen so the question is.
Does it increase the critical rate of normal attacks?

Does it increase the rate of my skills to crit ?
or does it increase the land rate of my skills ?
Thansk for any help.
Isnt that the skill that is supposed to be something like Mortal Strike selfbuff for the elven daggers?
If that is the case it increases the chance to land your stabs, should do nothing for your actual critical rate when swinging your dagger.
I've tried all three dagger classes and the only one I didnt really like was the treasure hunter. Selfbuff>stab buff.
If you have competent healers/supports in your party, go for GH. Why? GH do best what an assassin should do: to kill. They have the strongest stabs in game, they have more chance to land lethals (cuz of high STR base), again higher chance to get a skillmastery effetc on a skill (due to high STR) and you can add Hex on the oponent to deal even more damage, like they didnt do enough hehe. In counterpart, they are the weakest dagger in survivability, again, you will rely more on the suports of your party to survive longer.
WR is similar, except they stay alive longer that GH due to higher evasion and runspeed. In counterpart WR has weaker stabs compared to GH.
ADV is the noob friendly dagger. Good atk spd, good pursuing tool (Dash), good survival tools (fake death for pve, Mirage in pvp, highest HP of the three etc). But it fails in what a true assassin is suposed to do: to kill (I mean kill fast!). Mainly because ADV dont have the GH/WR skill Focus Death, and the lowest DEX base of the three (you will notice ADV misses more stabs than the other 2). If you want to play a dagger w/o much compromisse with the game, focusing on fun (aka if you dont plan to past lv 80), then yeah, ADV is the best dagger for you. It's a very fun class.
That said, if you want a dagger to gank people, GH/WR is the best choice imo.

It all depends on what lvl range youre playing at. But at 83+ hex wont ever land. And TBH theres barely any difference in stab dmg between th pw and aw. AW has the lowest con so youll get easily stunned by anyone that tries.
PVP/PVE below lvl 80 TH all the way
PVE 80+ TH
9v9 80-83 : TH>AW/PW ( AW and PW are about the same)
9v9 83+ : TH>AW/PW (AW and PW are about the same)
1v1 80-83: TH>AW/PW (AW and PW are about the same)
1v1 83+: PW>TH>AW (also depending on what youre fighting though)
1vsmore at 80-85 : TH>PW/AW (AW and PW are about the same)
Olympiad : PW>TH>AW
Best dagger as a hero : PW>TH>AW
I don't agree with you, but that's what forums are for :).
And imo the best dagger for PVE is AW hands down, at any lv. Hex and highest lethal chance is just awesome.
Well I mostly have experience in pvping at higher lvl on GH, not so much at lower lvls and ive played a TH for 2 years aswell. But from my experience TH is the best PVE dagger from all 3. They have more con, more crit rate, higher atk speed and their evasion thing is a counter haste, which is awesome for pve. My TH friend was able to solo the same room in stakato alot better than I was. And I find hex not so easy to land after 80+, mine's +15 chance and I very rarely land it on players and not much on mobs either.
Just 1 thing I disagree with. By saying the stab damage is about the same between the TH, AW/PW at 83+ is this damage from front stabs, becuase I would like to believe that with Focus death and attacking from behind that the AW/PW would be quite a bit higher.
That being said I totally agree with the TH being the easiest to play of the 3. That added CON is great for survivability. Plus everytime anything with a stun attacks me (I am a GH) it is pretty much a given that I will be stunned. I sometimes feel a GH gets stunned even if a slight breeze passes by.

Look down. It's not a "slight breeze", that's a Dwarf. You might have not noticed due to your CP not going down much. :)

My hex is only +5 and I land it on mobs and players quite fine, and I'm 8x. Are you using bss? Have empower? Also, TH has more atk spd of the 3, but WR has more crit rate and AW has more crit. dmg - AW get 7 levels of the passive Critical Power (wich stacks with buffs and other OEd crit. dmg. skills), while TH get 6 lvs. Not to mention the skill Focus Death that makes normal hits and stabs deal more damage than TH and WR, and you can OE it for critical damage as well, stacking even more. TH may shine in soloing, I give you that, but this is not a solo game. In my experience I always outdamage the THs of my party and always end getting agro from mobs. You can put it that way: TH may >>>AW in almost any criteria, but in pure damage (normal hits and stabs), AW is >>>>all daggers, and thats what a dagger is suposed to do IMO, to land the most damage they can (fast). Oh and don't forget AW also has more evasion, accuracy and runspeed (pure runspeed, no Dash nor Blinding Blow) than TH.

Yes, stabs damage are AW>PW>TH. Mainly cuz AW gets more crit. dmg options than all the others, highest chance to land lethal strikes and highest chance on getting a skill mastery effect on a stab or other skills. All due to the highest STR base. Yes the CON is a problem, as I said earlier, an AW rely more on suports to stay alive than the other 2 daggers. And yes, TH is the noob friendly dagger, most ppl who want to play a dagger go TH, but later many of them regret it XD.

Like I said, I dont have much experience pvping at lower lvl, but at 85 hex +15 rarely lands for me. With emp and bss.
Youre right about the fact that TH is the most noob friendly dagger, but for me TH was more fun to play. I guess cause its better in farming open olympiad. When I was playing my TH, I always wanted to be an AW and now that I am an AW I miss my TH :P in 9v9 and mass pvp theres not too much difference between all the daggers, but in small scale pvp and oly TH is better. And this whole thread was about small scale pvp wasnt it? :P

Wth, you xped from 1 to 85 w/o any pvp? Or you get your char from a "friend"? :D
Youre right about the fact that TH is the most noob friendly dagger, but for me TH was more fun to playWhen I played a TH I found it very fun to play too :). Fake death, stealth, dash etc are very assassin lore characteristics :).
When I was playing my TH, I always wanted to be an AW and now that I am an AW I miss my TH :PTHs usually envy AWs when they see the nice damage AWs can deal. But most ppl when playing AW dont like their CON problem so they complain too, I guess you're one of them :D.

No, my char is a reroll :P I didnt pvp much on it until 83+ HB AOE ftw!
