I am new to Lineage 2. So I have some questions, to players. Is here any action left on Naia server? And what character you would recommend to play for a new player?How much tome does it take to level up character to 80 lvl?
Welcome to the forums! Naia is for EU players and Chronos is for NA players. They both usually have around 2k players at any one time. I am new too, and the community here is second to none. Its small but very helpful. I'll let the other guys answer your other others questions
Answering questions :
- Yes there is action at Naia
- Hard to recommend.
All depend who are you, what way of gaming you prefer etc.
- To lvl 80 ...
Again if you choose do everything really solo (without 2-3 additional accounts ) you stuck most likely at 76 lvl ( after 75 most classes have no chance to solo).
Generally:
1-40 matter of 1-2 days
41-60 double in 1-2 weeks
61-75 can be get after 1-2 months
76-80 ... pfff 2-6 months of hard grid?
After 76 you need to have some friends.
In general DD have easiier to reach 75 but then they stuck due to lack of support what is crucial at any location 76+
On other hand healers or enchanters have harder first steps but then all like them in parties :)
However there is one solo machine class: summoners.
It can operate solo at any level.
Problem is people who aim that class many times find very hard to find spot in top parties.
Ofc it is very general.
Apart of it find clan, find mates.
L2 without them is pointless,

very good advice, here.
please tell us what class you want to play to 80, cause it will make a difference in what kind of groups you will get, and will be very expensive for some classes.

warlord (for the record) does NOT do well soloing. it is a class that is mutually dependent on support if you intend on using the class the way it was designed.
personally i would pick Gladiator, or either of the Destroyer/Tyrant before taking warlord. get to know the game a while before you jump in as warlord. it can be high stress and difficult to do in a lot of spots.
how can you go 40 in 2 days , can some1 explain me?
have you tryed chain quest for lowbies?
Practically u gain 2x lvl in 2-3 h.
If u get (even random person ) Kama 23 u gain at least 1 lvl
Few hours is needed to reach 3x lvl,
Later on is chain of 2nd class quest and Palaika.
So 40 is easy to reach in 2 days.
I have done it 2 weeks ago no any support from boxes.
My record to complete all the beginner quests is about 45 minutes, to go from 1-18, then kill a few things, do first class change (about 30 mins) and you are 21, then an easy grind up to 40 including a kama or 2 and pailika.
Basically to reach lvls after A Grade (61+) starts the difficults situations, for me if i start now, i will make the same...
Bladedancer/Shillien Knight in 1st acc and Warcryer/Prophet in the 2nd acc
Can solo until top high levels and the Warcryer/Prophet to help him on xp with buffs etc. If you like pets u can make the quests for wolf and kookabura (wolf assist on xp for extra damage and kookabura recharge mp...all these after the pets reach 55lvl).
at the end you will have very usefull chars in game for multiple helping situations.
