There is no Thanksgiving event. Probably because Thanksgiving is an American holiday only.
We do have a contest beginning around then, which will be announced next week.
Um Canadians have thanksgiving too Sace.... we just have thanksgiving before USA does. How can you not register thanksgiving when part of one of the xmas events included that turkey from thanksgiving upset at santa? hmm

So in essence they have just as much reason to celebrate thanksgiving too lol
Events can be nice, but they are also a lot of work for the devs and GMs. I would rather have none for a while and get the site up to date, and some other issues worked out, then from a better place, start having some events...
I propose a "Nostalgia" event. Everyone gets dropped back to level 1 and has to fight in the starter areas again. Just like old time, but instead of getting old drops, for that weak only, those mobs drop A-S (80, 82, etc) drops that players can keep after the event has ended and they go back to their regular level. Would be kinda nice to see those places we miss so much get some attention. Plus... PvP in Abandoned Camp was hardcore back in the day... now I can't find anyone who wants to fight there on my new alts >.<
All this focus on end game has robbed the game of the cool stuff we started playing for. How interesting do you think this game is going to be to a completely new player? not very...

1 problem. You'd see people come out with +16 d-grade weapons, and people would be lvl 60+ by the end of the first day.

We did have a Thanksgiving Event before. I remember going to Dwarven Village and there was a big turkey. It was set up like rock, paper, and scissors. Don't remember what the rewards were but, I do remember the buff from the turkey.

That was the Saving Santa event. Santa = Christmas.

To clarify about the Nostalgia Contest, a number of Europe-bound packages were lost by FedEx and we had to send out replacement packages. Most of those participants have received theirs now. Anyone that hasn't yet should PM me.

Regarding "events", if you are slotted to receive newsletters from us, you should see a hint about the next event inside. ;)

To Sace and all the NCNA Staff thank you for all the time and efforts you put into this community even when it seems all is lost on us.
Or, how about letting us (somehow) at least send them between the seven characters we have on one account?
That sure would help - there's gotta be a smart programmer out there who can figure that one out.
As I've said before - the botters and super-ebayers are going to level up like crazy no matter what. And that's all we'll ever attract/keep in the game.
To help L2 survive - gotta figure out some way to help the more "casual players". Anyone who's played even a short while sees all the corruption, and will quit pretty quick if they think this is the only way to be competitive and have fun (at least getting near high levels, and near really good gear).
Figuring out a way to help the rest of us have some fun (Revita-Pops, stuff like this - and fun events that actually give something valuable) will do this. "Sharing Revita Pops" for those of us with one account sure would a nice boost.....and "Thanks". After playing since May of 2004 - sure be nice to help some of the casual players a little.
End mini-rant. Seriously, it would be kinda cool to somehow send Revita-Pops between characters on one account. Kinda a waste to just have them there and not use them.....it sure would help the mind-numbing grinding. You know - I really miss the odl Squash-smashing events. For some silly reason, it was just a lotta fun....and some nice rewards too..
