The holiday season is upon us, and we have a fun and rewarding contest for you! By creating holiday-themed Adena art, you might win yourself some in-game and real-life prizes! Take a look at the contest page (http://www.lineage2.com/archive/2010/11/holiday_adena_a.html), and get those creative juices flowing! :D
Don't forget; contests are no longer limited to USA-only! These are the eligibility requirements for all of our contests now:
Be 13 years of age or older by November 24, 2010.
Be a legal resident of the United States (excluding the State of Rhode Island, and excluding Guam, Puerto Rico, U.S. territories, military installations and commonwealths), Canada (excluding Quebec), or the European Union.
Have an active Lineage II account (trial accounts and inactive accounts are not included).
Have Internet access, an email account, and access to a personal computer.
it would be nice if you could actually put those t shirts into an official store, i know im not going to win them, but ill try.
But i really want those t shirts.
Why ppl from other part of the globe who don't have L2 in they country like Brazil, can't do contests here?
The reason is that that country's law-makers and NCsoft lawyers have not yet been able to agree on an international contract. Contests (which are effectively a transaction of items of value) is a legal contract, and proper legal terms must be agreed upon. Hopefully one day, our current contracts will expand to include more countries.
On a side note, about a year ago, our contests could only allow participation from the USA. Now, they include the European Union and Canada (each with some federal-law exceptions). I'd say this could be a sign of future legal expansion. :)

Do we get any benefit in game for participating in this event? such as Nice Try Revita pops, or Nice Try Accessories? it would be motivating for participants to give a try at least and have fun while receiving something for trying for this.

Then you should not exclude trial accounts. The "NO PURCHASE NECESSARY" claim in your Contest Official Rules is there for a reason.
Oops... you cannot create adena art on your trial account.
If you win, you allow NCsoft to publish all your life for their facebook/ads.
Don't worry, it's just in case, they never did it. They just like to write that for fun.
To answer a question that was PMed about this contest: nothing in the image should be altered by any paint program, including adding a banner, words, or making color changes.
Any news on the event? I didn't get an e-mail notification so far so I am guessing I didn't make it to the winners :/ but still I would like to see who won and all the other submitions.
Congratulations to the winners! I like a lot Syaoran's Mechanic Snow Golem and sT1nky's sT1nky and Rudolph, they are both original and pretty.
I am very disappointed I wasn't on the winners list :/ I really think my cute dwarven girl deserves a runner up I really worked hard to make her. Well this is art and tastes in art can deffer a lot.
Anyway thanks NC for giving us the chance to do something deferent in game and have some creative fan. I really enjoyed it.
You are only missing 20 mins on nevit, so I guess you must have started prior to the reset of nevit then.
i had nevits earlier 3h but since the group only lasted for 10mins i decided to have some fun instead of being cheap relogging on an alt :D i dont qq about the nevits since my main is not a tk anymore otherwise 5m is a pain to waste like that:D
Congratulations ! This is something I never managed to do, I always drop near target and pick the wrong bit... As such this looks even nicer for me :)
Congratulations again !
thank you all.. :) i'm really happy i won something..
i hope there will be many other contests in future (except writing essays cause my english is so bad :D).. i like them though i'm sad when i don't win anything.. hehe :p
I just recieved an-email from Fed-ex saying i have to pay 125 Euros for customs services for the gift i won from the holiday adena art contest.
I said sorry but i am not gonna pay 125 E for a GIFT that its price is 40$, and above all a gift, so i told them to send it back.
I am very disappointed from this contest.
I receive and send items every week by air mail and i haven't payed a Cent in all my life. I am very disapointed cause this is supposed to be a gift and i am not going to pay 125 E for a prizw I WON.
Sorry NCSOFT but i didn't accept the contract from Fed-ex and told them to send it back......... Ty for the surprize prize..... It was amazing ........

As I explain in PM reply to you, and so that everyone understands, this charge was not expected and we certainly don't expect a customer to pay it. During a past contest where we mailed out dozens of packages like this to various European countries, only 1 requested a "customs processing fee." Ironically, the same recipient who was asked to pay this fee soon after received another package from us with no fee. The fee seems to be random, but we were able to get around it that time and we will try this time as well. We will likely simply mail out the package a second time and I won't be surprised if it will magically isn't charged this time (it's happened before). Syaoran, we're sorry for this negative experience, and we will continue to try to get your prize to you without this ridiculous customs fee.
fedex is terrible.. and tons of companies use them for guad knows what reasons other then being contracted through them..
I'm still waiting on getting my rma picked up for a laptop that the manufacturer insists on using fedex.. when fedex doesn't even excist around here... paid shipping both directions.. yet i'm waiting almost 3 months now with utterly NO solution being presented ....
