Sounds like I should take on the project of Making a Updated Information website for lineage. Might help newer players like myself find a good home iwth the game, especially with CT3 in the future. After years of playing wow and being used to resources like wowhead, think all mmo's should have that kind of resource.
there are a great number of Korean websites, and Russian ones too.
but they dont take kindly to translation. the use a lot of local slang, and localized info that is unique to their territory of L2; i.e. korean servers, russian servers.
one such site is
http://power.plaync.co.kr/lineage2/
NC also has a powerwiki for Aion
and GW has an extensive wiki, updated nearly daily.
Lineage2 is the red headed stepchild of NC. the one nobody talks about. since 2004.
ETA: let me see if i can recount for you the website history of good content guides:
first we had L2Orphus which shut down early Chronicle2ish. it was a particularly shady site where one could obtain and use bots, hacks, and general cheating guides.
L2pets, a site specifically for knowledge of L2 servitors and pet information (including the quest guides for sineater, hatchies and wolfs) closed, reopened, closed again.
L2physics a site for showing all the physics of the game including buffs, skills, and specific information to vague skill descriptions. closed and outdated since like Pre Interlude.
WrathOfTheJust used to have a quest guide section for doing some of the late game quests.
l2wh used to be a great site for seeing the drops and spoils of all mobs in game. it had handy other tools too like a mammon pricelist, crushing list, SA helper.
l2.dropspoil was a similar site (as was pmfun) however they soon were flooded with private server data from sniffers, and can't be trusted to be up to date, least of all accurate to earlier chronicles.
ivory-tower.de is a site where you can see how each armor/hat looks on each race. still active.
elliebelly.net used to be a great site for end game content guides, and had some posters from other regions who were able to give us in-depth detailed discussions of future patches.
l2guru is another one of those sites, howver its discussions are mostly trashtalk, and whose userbase consists mostly of users who were past l2orpheus members.
l2stratics and eogamer, and vault all have similar content; they are trying all to expand and have the content that all those other sites used to have but its a project that few have successfully undertaken. eogamer's wiki is about as big as it can be without regular user submissions; people seem to magically want the wiki to expand and show everything but that seems an unlikely event given the lack of submissions.
i'm sure there are a few sites ive forgotten too.
ETA2: yes, i forgot lineage2.rochand.com. thanks soulmagic.
ETA3: forgot Lineage2.online-welten.de which was a good C1-C3 site for drops and spoils and quest mob locs.
