I beleive high five will come out early january. My guess is we will get all parts at once and it wont be called high five.
We are working on it and it is on its way, but we do not have a reliable time-frame to share with you yet.
I realize that an ETA is an Estimated Time of Arrival. We believe it best to not post estimations at this stage.

I heard from a friend that knows this guy that was married to the first cousin of a girl that was married to a guy who has a grandmother that talked with this other guy in Korea who works with this developer here in the states that has coffee at the same place this NCSoft developer has his Venti Caramel Frappuccino. Well, I know the Barista of this establishment, she said that they were discussing the launch date and it sounded like none of them knew when the exact day would be.

hope high five will come until last of december. will be great victory for ncsoft make update on holidays with so many people have free time to come back to game
And thats why they obviously will never put an update on live server right before any holidays. They will go themselves on holidays which means less people on their side to handle problems that will occur after the update...
From now i don't see how they can put H5 before February, to be honest. Event on PTS.
Undercover, you must be a new player.. Gracia Final went live here 1 year ago at the beginning of December. The first Gracia update, where we got Kamael's went live 3 years ago at the beginning of December. I'm sure if NC here could have given us the next upgrade right about now, they would have done so. That it is not now on PTS, probably means next year, for PTS and live. You are right. Doing it during the Christmas season would be a mistake. Better they put their time and effort into the Christmas event(s). But come January, I'm sure we will see it as Soon as is possible.
I'm not really a new player since i'm playing L2 since 2006. Last year, the update was Gracia+ in late November (the 18 if i remember well). H5 (1+2+3) look like a biggest update than G+ , with more impact (and thus, more possible bugs) in the gameplay.
If that is the case it will go live beginning of Feb and we are always at least 1 - 2 months before Russia (Russia got Freya in June, we got it in Sept.)
So if that holds true maybe on our PTS in March and Live in April. That is a horribly long time to wait. We will be a full 2 updates behind Korea at that point.

The new level cap at 90 means that bots will be at least 6-7 levels above us and will have ultra gear making the game a mockery especially when all content will be for them even without ranger and the like. When the level will be raised to 90, AND if bots are still in game, I will finally leave and let bots enjoy whats left of L2.
It is hard as it is to play by the rules, new level cap will just mean game over for us.

anybody knows if they make respawn time of mobs in catacombs same as mobs in FoG? GC? Den of Evil? and TG? cause id love to see that...id never leave catacombs in my life :P and my dread would be more than happy, to pull 1 room constantly and not 3,5 rooms, and i wont be disappointed when i come home, and only 1 hr available for me to play, but my rooms are taken :P i have a CatasChild above my name for a reason :p ggg....

Yes and I know quite alot of ppl who are in the same position, don't forget there were many end game players who were already 85 100% before even Freya update was out here.. and NOT all of them botted their way up there (preemptive strike cause to many topics get derailed by bot/cheat arguments).
@Mao, lvl cap won't be increased to 90 until the Revenge of Shilien update which is after the 3rd High Five installment aka more then 8 Months away from us at NA NC rate..
best argument for me is that I just simply want to go back to my cave as I loved to xp in anthy's lair in the old days ^^

What 78-83 ? All spots will be for 95+ in that case :P Ppl below 94 will have nerf and wont be able to kill mobs non-aggro, non-social, perfect for AFK exp.

Actually what is happening in the Russian servers is a shame and I think NC Korea has been wrestled into accepting semi-legalization there because they would have went fully underground even without it. It is a little more than private servers, with exp that can be bought, 100% enchants that can be bought, I heard stories of GMs playing etc.
However, on the technical side, as most private servers they are much more competent than NCNA ppl because that is their passion, not dayjob. They really love the game and while they are greedy and try to make as much money as possible from it, they still cant bear to see it bug-ridden and botted and they do all they can in that sense. They know that a bot game is a dead game as well as one full of bugs, no matter how good the original content is. When NCNA will understand this, we will have even better servers than the russian ones, but I think they are still (too) far from understanding that simple thing.

Russia is a private company that tries to make money
NCWest is a division of NCsoft. NCWest gets told by headoffice what they do, when they do it and how much they get to spend doing it. Russians do it quickly cause there is no head office to manage them.
If NCWest was completely independent of NCSoft, like the Russian company is, then things would probably be way more efficient. Downside of course is that the independent company doesn't do all that well and the service ends up getting shut down, like what happened in SE Asia which was the "prime example" Lineage2 licencee before Russia

Exp. cannot be bought. If so, can you tell us how much it costs per point/level?
100% enchants are not bought. You can buy an enhancing stone that increases the chance by roughly 10%, and even that is not a "russian customization" since we have that "Third open slot" when enchanting in our servers too, we just dont have the stones activated.

GM's and staff are allowed to play, it's not secrecy it's in the website infos BUT :
1/ they are not allowed to play with their working account
2/ they are not allowed to tell ANY player they are from NC company
3/ as far as we know that you could get one "casual" player wich is, in fact, one of NC team
4/ Sace said she plays and loves (likes, does ?) roleplay (again, this is in boards and site)...
Well I hoped that having a producer who isn't Korean for once would mean more breathing space for NC West, but Cabel's work is disappointing for now. So I guess you're right, NC West is still too tied to NCsoft Korea.

yes you have a lot to do at lvl 84 but if you don't have lvl 80++ you do the same thing all time and you want high5 for exp boost... to get 80++ and have other thing to do.:eek:

At the moment they are releasing HF part 4 in korea with some nerfs on Freya, Anthy, Valakas, Beleth and some other boss which I'm not sure which it is. Dynasty being downgraded to Sgrade, S84 being auctionable and Treasure chests becoming lesser and better and some other stuff and fixes.
also 30% less adena/sp in skill enchant :D
and antahras/valakas with same m.def as volpal jewels.
gc from 5500 tokens to 550.
and u can trade 5 stones +3m for crystal of same type.
The information in the topic has increased since I last visited. Also Monster specific weapons which seem only droppable. Boss hats like freya, zaken and another one

Ok so I guess that you have a 85,100% level char with all second class skills +30,all third class skills +30,top armor +6 full 3x120 attribute each part,300 element weapon with SA and the best Augment they could have,some boss jewels,you have killed all raids including Antharas and Valakas and explored all revamped areas.So what you miss is only Freya extreme mode.If so,yes I agree you need to have more new challenges on your gameplay.
