Ok, here are the facts:

-Back to L2 after alot of time

-LVL 77 Phantom Summoner(Spectral Master)

-DC Robe Set, Valhalla + Acumen

-680kk Adena

-Last thing i remember doing in l2 is soloing in IOP and selling fire stones

Now, i want to play for like 2 hour/ day, i want to solo kill mobs and i want to know:

What gear to buy with that adena, where to xp (solo as i mentioned), what quests are there for xp? i remember somethiong about xp quests but i don`t know for sure.

please help :) ty
680kk is quite enough for a decent s80 gear setup, for a PS that is, and 7S epic quest will let you hit 80 much faster, GL
i need specifics :)

you say i have enough for decent s80 gear setup, can i wear s80 (dynasty, moirai) at my lvl?

And where should i go xp?
I need to decide if i`ll reactivate after this free period, so come on guys, help me out a little because i only have a few days :)
Ill double post since i get no help :D

Should i buy an AM and if yes, which attribute?
Should i stay in Dc robes or buy MA or Moirai/dynasty (if i can wear them at this lvl)?

And where to go lvl?

Ty in advance :)
Can't tell you where to hunt a PS at 77. Mine is still too low. The places would most likely be the same old spots you could solo when you stopped playing. You can't wear S80 gear without penalty until you are lvl 80. Can't say which, Dynasty or Moirai is better then for you. Both are more available (recipes and parts) than the S76 armor recipes, so are easier to get, but both are relatively new. They should become more available and cheaper as initial demand for them goes away. I suspect what KillerBean is suggesting is wait for lvl 80 or at least high 79 before spending your adena on S80. Stay with what you have until then.

Some of the old places, Monastery of Silence, Forge of the Gods, Stakato nest perhaps, the Plains of Primeval Island have been changed in the last year, generally increasing the levels of the mobs and for the Dinos, making them less agro and more nuker specific. Most but not all new places are lvl 80+ now. If anything, there has been a slight drop in areas for lvl 76 to 78 play.

The 7 Sign Epic quest can be taken at lvl 79, is a solo quest in 7 parts. If you can do all 7 then you will get 30% of level 79. NC has been allowing people to do the quest 2x, First at Freya update, then in September again. It's expected that with the next upgrade, any who have reached lvl 79, and done the quest once, will get to do it again.

Good luck and good hunting. After level 76+, I'm not sure I'd be willing to do much solo play. While I'm quite happy to solo when I have time, for me the fun then is more in parties. Also it is best for getting exp fast, but not sure a PS could get a spot in a FoG pole party.
Ty Mareesha.

So, i`ll wait till lvl 80 to get S80 armor, probably going to stick with dc robe till then.

Now, if someone is kind enough ( like Mareesha was) tell me something regarding the weapon and hunting spots for solo :)
I thought you had to be level 81 to wear level 80 armor. ****, 1 less level till I look shiny again !!
Yep you only need to be Lvl 80 to wear S80.

For the armour/weapon, the 1 thing to note, both can be elemented, which does make quite a bit of difference, and can make the difference if you live/die in certian places. For armour, You only have 1 choice if you decide to go S grade robes. If you usually never get hit (A bonus of being a decent PS) you many never have to worry about this. But if you PVP/Do Oly/Occasionally do get attacked by a mob then this can make a big difference.

For Weapon. Same as above. Adding Element to your weapon will add an elemental attack to your Summon. You have the adena, and your going to be using that equipment for quite some time before you can wear S80, so you might as well upgrade both.

Here is a site that will give you specs on all the weapons/armour http://lineage2.rochand.com/Knowledge/weapons.php?item=n

TY!

one more thing, is it ok if i stick with HS for now? from 77 to 78,79 or do i have better choices?
I agree DC robes til 80.

AM is essential, and I think I read summons will get benefit of element in next update High Five or does it now? (too bad elliebelly is gone) :(

Primevil Isle got my SE to 80 and the sp there is double the normal amount :) I don't know if PS summons have good nukes or aoe nukes, it's definitely a nuker spot. Drops suck tho lol although the adena drops are great. My SE made quite a lot of adena for enchanting skills there :D Also leveled in IOP, it's ok but I like Dino better. Stay on the plains side until you are a bit higher I think.
I'd say pick up an Arcana Mace with acumen SA and 150 element as your pet hits significantly harder. Many Spectral Masters go with a dark mace at first to take advantage of the extra elemental damage on death spike. I've found that a Holy element mace will offer more PVE success in day-to-day grinding as there are FAR more "Evil" mobs that are weak to and take more damage from holy attacks.

I also would keep your eyes peeled for an arcana robes set with some resists (at least 60) vs the element of your favorite hunting ground. I wouldn't pay top coin for this set, but if one presents itself it will make your pet (and you) more durable, as some of that elemental protection does transfer over to your pet.

With that kind of coin you could invest it on the market over the time it takes you to reach level 80 and have plenty floating around to craft or purchase a Moirai set outright. There is no doubt that the Moirai set is better than the Dynasty summoner robes. Invest wisely and you shouldn't have many issues with your set once you hit level 80.

Hunting spots appropriate for level 77 and 150 Dark element weapon:

Hot Springs
Pavel Ruins
Disciples/Dark Omens for big returns on AA selling
IOP
Wall of Argos
Varka Silenos/Ketra Orcs
TOI 10

150 holy versus dark
Hot Springs
Pavel Ruins
Disciples/Dark Omens for big returns on AA selling
IOP
Wall of Argos
Varka Silenos/Ketra Orcs
Forest Of The Dead Vampire area
IT L room
Hero Rift (note: get a buddy of yours to be in group with you anywhere other than at the rift and you can go in alone. You can solo for quite some time on the easier rooms in relative safety)

Some of the areas mentioned (L Room, Rift) are tricky if you aren't careful, but they can be very lucrative once you get the spawn the way you want it, or in the case of the rift, get the right room. At 79 with 150 Holy and the alien pet, things get a lot easier /faster to grind out. IT becomes a walk in the park and you can start to become effective in the Den of Evil (a place where your pet can achieve 500 crit rate selfbuffed and mobs are darn near immune to magic spells), and you can survive Pagans without much difficulty. If you opt for a dark weapon Pagans, IT, and the Rift are much more difficult, but you can take advantage of TOI to get to 78/9, and Wall of Argos angels.

Cheers.

After you reach lvl 80, go Moirai, Dynasty imho SUCKS for summoners (I mean..p.atk? lol?). Before 80 you can keep up with DC if you think you handle it, or get MA for some elemental resist. MA sets can now be found fairly cheap. Get in mind that elemental resist is now shared with your summon, so more resist = less need of heal.

I would advise you to go AM dark because Soon(tm) H5 is going to hit our servers and you will get full power death spike. The only downside will be the fact that dark is kind of 'meh' for many of the exp spots. (But, like Denmach said, Angels in Wall of argos are GOOD if you have dark AM). Holy AM, like many said, is the other good option, with the downside of getting an even weaker death spike.

To clear any confusions about summons and element: First, summons got no element and summoners 100%, then, summons got 80% while summoner got 20%, and in freya, summoners keep that 20% while summons now get 100%. In hight five, both will get 100% (This will also apply to Necromancer, that now has no element at all on summon). With this change your death spike will probably give you the ability to solo dino isle, at least plains area.

And where to go lvl?

Denmach said it all :D
77 lvl summoner farming stones alone at iop seems really strange to me...........

i remember some botgroups, they used to have a summoner with them to summon the wc at iop near waterdragons and then gate the party.

Wow, never takes long for a bot conspiracy post to pop up on official forums
Imo you can stay in DC robes, the pet tanks anyway and major arcana dont help all that much.

Get an Arcana mace, with acumen. Having element on it from before dont matter much, so buy one without, you can farm your own stones.

Some ppl will argue you should got 150 dark, coz of some summon skills, but u wont really be exping too much using the pets skills.

If you can do IOP keep doing it and just add fire stones to the mace as u get them, u will notice IOP mobs die faster if you have fire wep also, so its kinda win/win situation.

Save most of your adena for s80, by then you will have figured out what armor and weapon and maybe if you wanna change element. Dont blow your money on regular s grade, its a waste.
Yea definitely keep the DC robes until 80, but go ahead and get an AM 150 dark now. As for the s80 armor, here is the difference between Dynasty II Summoner set and Moirai:

Dynasty Summoner (Dynastic Element II):
Total Set Pdef= 398
Int-2, Men+2, Casting Spd. +15%, Max MP +321. Dark Resistance +8, P. Atk. +3.3%, P. Def. +3.3%.

Moirai Robe set:

Total Set Pdef= 417
WIT +2; MEN -2; When equipped: M. Power +8.11%, M. Spd. +15%, Resistance to Paralyze Atk. +50%, and resistance to fire/water/wind/earth attributes +5. Opens cloak slot.

So if you're going to nuke then Moirai will probably be better for you after 80 (little more expensive though).

As for quests, the only two that come to mind are the 7x Pailaka (caps at 77, so go do it now if you haven't yet) and the Epic quest at 79. Anything else at that lvl isn't worth the effort in my experience.
Not at all sure the info on weapon Element is up to date.
I have a +10 A grade Blunt and a +3 BBH with Holy. With Holy weapon buff, I'm 115 Holy on the BBH. In DoE, mobs are weak to Holy, BBH has an reasonable, but not outstanding effect. The A grade weapon is still cheaper to use, if not quite as fast at making a kill.

In the older areas, Pagan Temple being the place I tested. A weapon does about 350 damage. BBH does about 365 damage. (has been a while, and not sure of the exact numbers now, but the BBH was a trivial increase. Note, both weapons benefitted from the Holy weapon buff, so we are comparing 20 Holy on the A grade to 115 holy on the BBH. Freya upgrade change the rules for elemental protection and possibly weapons. If I get the Holy on BBH up to 150 + 20 with buff, it might be better in DoE. Getting Crystals for the extra 150 element is significantly more expensive, so that will have to wait. I don't really expect the BBH Holy 150 to be any better than it is now in Pagan Temple though.

My Saint Spear 150 Water works just fine in Giant's Cave upper level, where mobs are weak to pole and strong against Water. Most likely, Fire would work better, or an SS with less element but Fire would work just the same. On 1 mob in GC, I tested BBH vrs +10 A and they are effectively the same weapon, much like when I tested in Pagan Temple. (slight less damage in GC, I think the first +40 Holy adds damage to Pagan mobs. after that it has no effect.
[The p.atk of +10 A blunt is just slightly higher than that of +3 BBH.]

According to notes I read on EllieBelly before it left, the max protection since Freya for elemental on armor is 20% less damage. So Dark resist in Pagan or Fire Resist on Angels in WoA (both older type mobs) would have no effect above maybe +40. For newer mobs, you will still only get 20% less damage, but their elemental attack bonus can be much higher, so you need to have element from armor/buffs which exceed their attack. The same rules apply for PvP.
No idea if High Five will again give changes to the way elements work for weapons and armor. There are good Korean sites that will give that information, if you read Korean, or Google translate.

Of more significance perhaps for a summoner is if their p.atk affects their summons. If not, then any weapon with element could work better if mobs are specifically weak to it, but elemental weakness is not the big bonus it initially was or seemed to be. Same for the elemental resistances. I hunted WoA Angels some time back with a player who had high elemental resistance to Fire on his armor. At that time, he could effectively ignore the Angels fire attacks, their damage was trivial. I doubt that is the case since Freya reduced the protection to only 20% there, but have not truly tested it yet.
Should i buy an AM and if yes, which attribute?
You should buy an AM. If you have a source of Holy Weapon buff or Dance of Light), you should buy AM 150 holy (that will let your summon do 40% more damage on pre-Gracia mobs). If not, you can buy any element AM (preferrably dark, though) with 80+ element (that will let your summon do 20% more damage on the same mob).

If you are good at shopping, buying the elemethed AM and selling the stones that you farm will be cheaper than buying an unelemented AM and adding the stones.

Should i stay in Dc robes or buy MA or Moirai/dynasty (if i can wear them at this lvl)?
Stay in DC until lvl 80 or the next update, whatever happens first.
hes a Dark elf summoner and your suggestin a Holy weapon ?
Phantom masters have a Dark attribute nuke so Dark weapon to be honest if u have kooka or recharger might aswell just nuke your way to 79 for the stronger summon then rock stuff melee in MoS
Id suggest to do economy on the weapon part. An AM 150 dark is good enough, and costs less than 200kk (acumen,+3,150 dark).
Moirai robe set will be a must when you reach 80. Stick on DC yes.
IoP farming stones Is ideal till 80. You are doing well

I don't care about roleplaying that much. My EE has both Dark and Holy AMs.

It's a half-power nuke. If they have a recharger, they may as well leech from the recharger in Inqiusitor or Rift...

I wouldn't go to MoS on a DD that is not lvl 80 yet.

Why would a PS need a +3 AM? Enchants on weapon doesnt affect the pet.

I wouldnt try to solo it even with the 79 pet. I guess someone is oblivious to how low pdef the pets actually have.

And no Krissa, it's not you , it's the other guy.
I would suggest him to find the party he had when he was farming fire stones at iop :P
The mobs in MoS have been upgraded. Most seem to be level 83, so a melee fighter at level 81 still gets the damage nerf, and that would probably apply to melee summons too. The only reason I would take a fighter into MoS before level 82 is for a critically necessary drop. Nukers have it better, since for them, the nerf is level 80 and down. I can't see that the advantage of the higher exp from each mob, would off set the slower killing and increased shot use. Better to look for and kill mobs which are white to you, not yellow (or higher), not in the lvl 78+ range where the nerf hits. Check the recent upgrade notes for the exact information on the nerf. Only applies in higher levels, but not sure if it's mobs level 77, 78, 79 or 80.
