The magic and fun of double XP/SP returns next weekend, from Friday, December 10 to Tuesday, December 14, 2010!
The Double XP Weekend is a server-wide setting and allows players to get twice the experience points and skill points from hunting monsters in the game world. Players of all classes, levels, and account types will be affected by this setting regardless of where they are hunting. Also, the double XP effect stacks with other XP-related items, such as Revita Pops. Quest XP is not affected.
Stay tuned for server maintenance notice for Friday, December 10, which will turn on the double XP/SP setting. The setting will be turned off with the regular maintenance on Tuesday, December 14.
I didn't mention this before because the event was over about the time I discovered it but if anyone has those old Chest of Experience and ths SP chest (forgot the name) they don't stack with the double xp sp so don't waste them during this event :).
I agree with double xp/sp + vitality replenish in towns. That what i don't agree is the gm giving buffs to chars. That way you make all buffers classes look like ****. They are not at all usefull since u r gm buffying the players, and even the chant of victory which lasts 5 mins the gm buff lasts 1h. So why need buffers? ...
Also when you give buffs, no party needs buffers so in this event buffers will be like **** and they won't have the chance to lvl up cause noone needs them...

I would like to suggest you getting a clan. There's no PuG(Pick up Group) parties anyway. All our buffers/healers/bd's/sws's gets parties no matter of GM buffs or not. If they wanna come they come.
In every other clan it's same. So again, get a clan.

The buffs are awesome, but so many people camp the gatekeeper that it's almost impossible to use the g/k to move around and the lag is horrible in the towns. How about using the Adventurer Guide NPCs? But, thanks for the event!

Better yet, give the GM buffs at Fantasy Island~ One free port from any town so we can get there cheaper/faster :D
and please make the announcements for it while you are there, saying how much longer, for people who log in after the first announcement :)
also, please stay and give the buffs/vit for at least 15 minutes to allow us to get there. Lately I dc on ports sometimes (lol it's annoying when it's a pay port :/)
Make announcements some minutes before giving gm buffs and vitality pls so we can enjoy this event without having toons camped the gatekeepers.Also using fantasy island is a good idea.
i think they should make GM buffer on Fantasy Island, so we can port there, get a GM buff every hour or so, and vitality every 4 hrs....hehe...that would rock and rolll.....
also Sace, does that mean that we will be getting it more often as game feature, or you will stop that type of weekends after new years?
Maybe we should thank the gms now for the buffs+vitality and don't cry for our inconvinience. After all they are a gift and not part of the event.
It's just at the gm's judgement to offer buffs or+ vitality. So stop whining.
why am i here anyway? hehe i enjoy game with or without vitality and or gm buffs :P i have my cov and my pow and my pof hehe...i buff every 20minutes anyway....so yeah sorry

Last time I was planning my vita carefully and stocked up vita potions, therefore we got GMs vita :)
Now I am out of most and vita perma 0 even with all the raids and stuff... So probably no GM vita...

Back in the day..... there wasn't all the vitality stuff and we didin't have potions for everthing. Back then we played in the snow on a hillside with one hand. All you youngins always wanting everything given to you.

2x exp applies to raids also ? I mean, besides quests, everything else is 2x ? Raids, kamas, labyrinth of the abyss, forts, etc-etc ? If that is not the case, please list what is NOT 2x (except quests, of course).

Any XP you gain from killing a monster will be doubled.

Then you should have tested it last time, stop being lazy.... it might have happened that during the last time one could solo a RB and go from level 20 to level 34 on just one RB or do six academy toons from level 20 to 40 in about one hour...

@ Cabbie I didnt test last time, who does fort then (NPC there I understand are asimilated to monsters...), nor did RB because exp in FoG with GMs giving vita (freya, tiger vita potions, pops, nevits) totalled 4-5 times what RBs could have given us in the same time, perhaps even more. We mostly do RBs on subs to level those without vita loss, however, during exp and vita event RB is not likely to gather a lot of ppl, neither kamas, ppl stack up nevits and pole parties are the best way to spend those.
This time, maybe GMs wont give vita and then RB might be interesting as well as labyrinths of the abyss and a fort dungeon, but if GMs give vita, then it is obvious, we will be all night in catas/fog, GMs permitting.
