I see some posts with people suggesting NCSoft should have a big holiday grind event.
But let's think about this a moment.
Imagine NCSoft launched the dream event from Dec 24th to December 28th. Not Double XP, but 10x XP/SP and 2x drops (or something similar - the point being an unprecedented incentive to be in game).
You can imagine them feeling this was a generous gift to the players and would be timed well for people having vacation, etc.
But now think of your family and the things you really should be doing during the holidays. And imagine sitting with your family on Christmas Day with this nagging thought in the back of your mind that you are missing out on the uber-grind. You find ways to sneak off and leave them. You resent anyone asking you to not be on the computer.
This leads to badness.
So - I love the holiday events. But I hope they are selected to be generous and short-term, not something that will tear our attentions away from loved ones and the rest we deserve at year end. Let me log in and do a quick 10 minute thing where I can win some element crystals or something and log off again. Please don't make us have the game compete with our family (any worse than we normally have it - ha!)
Ofc I agree too, but... you don't need to participate in EVERY single event to full, there are much events last times and there will be for sure so you don't miss a big thing...
For example on Naia there are TW on 25th december in evening, and sieges on 26th... ha! :P
or they will be stopped on x-mas? dunno how it was last years :P but I think they can't be ^^'
There's more than one kind of family. My Christmas I'm gonna spent with best friends and during the weekend will be alone, waiting for Monday to come and get back to work.
Btw this doesn't sound badly at all. I spent almost all winters weekends alone. Saturday is a lost day as it comes just after Friday night :D Sometimes girl accompanies me on Saturdays till late afternoon. As for Sunday, it's relax day. Cleaning, Laundry etc.
Summers are more fun because than we travel or just stay outside depending on weather. Anyway I do not personalize Christmas too much.

This is not a maybe, NCSoft IS!!!!! EVIL !!!!!
First they allow ppl to bot for almost 5 years, making ppl addictive, just watching.
Then they deside to make yes another event aimed for bots, and now deside that ppl who do use bots for hunt, aint allowed to play as they have been doing untill now.
While leaving those ppl who use bots for pvp unaffected.(this is why ppl dont respect gm's at all, either ban all or dont ban at all).
Now alot of ppl has to start over or buy new accounts. what do NC do, lure players with Exp events so they can catch up and get hooked all over again.
(still not doing anything about all those who use ranger ruining the game).
And just when u think it cant get worse, they go make yet another grind event aimed for bots, who last though out the hollidays.
But hey, its just a game aint it. Non of us is addicted to this, so non of this can be true can it :D
