Since the server merge on October 5, 2010, you may have noticed that the Giran clan hall "The Silver Chamber" on each server was occupied by a NCsoft-controlled clan. Our original plan was to partner with the Child's Play (http://www.childsplaycharity.org/) organization to hold a charity auction as a means of distribution. Based on Auction site policies and other legal reasons, this plan was not achievable. We deliberated on a variety of other creative ways to distribute this hall, but ultimately we have decided to release it back into the game to be auctioned as normal, so any available clans can enjoy the halls over the holidays. After the maintenance tomorrow for the Double XP/SP Weekend, this clan hall on each server will be eligible for auction.
In the spirit of the holidays, we do encourage players to donate to the Child's Play charity organization, as they help children around the world enjoy video games like ours. :) Remember, charity donations are tax-deductable.

Of course, no warning before, gj :P. I would have expected at least a regular maintenance to be the time of release.
I think the next merger is close anyway, the complaints about PvP are already in place, so they will soon force last merger.
• Teon (EURO) 1400 639 2897 We are below 3 k target, even at max since restart, this is how Teon was before merger, after 2 months since merger 2 servers were lost in the EU zone, I highly doubt that leaving the old servers on would have had this devastating impact over the l2 populations.
As such, investing in a CH may no longer be a good idea, especially with the PvP ones often free, with forts and all, but, you know, ppl want PvP, anything can be sacrificed for that, no matter that PvP can be done in any server populations as long as 2 clans are willing to do it for real, not only bragg about it.

That was a wonderful idea.
You should look at ways to actually do this by maybe doing the opposite way and have the charity agree to send a recept back and we send these to you and you pick a few from a hat and give an in game, non game changing item (hat, coat, pet, etc.) out to the winners....
Any item should be untradeable, colored names OK, too. I would say a minimum of 50 USD should be enough to be worth the trouble for GMs.
Or, a forum degree should be OK too, so nothing involved in game.
Ppl, you do realize that you can donate without NCsoft involvement, asking for special items to display smells like vanity, however, if this will encourage ppl to make donations, I think it is worth it.

If you want charity keep an amount out of our monthly payment and give it to
children institutes.
As for the in-game issues...try to keep them in-game and be as fair as you can to
all the players.
So first Nc Staff don't act with their promises (wonder why ppl still believe any of their words), to keep a Clan Hall after Merge even OWNING a Clan Hall before and nearly from server first days, I add to pay a HUGE amount (at least for our Clan) cause Nc placed such nice prices!
Now a Giran CH for sell since it was locked for charity stuff!!!

Back when they posted how the clan hall distribution would be done, they stated that one clan hall on each server would NOT be distributed that way, and that they would tell a few weeks later what they'd do with that one. Now they did.
