Some of your may recognize it as being similar to the squash events that have been held in the past. That means that you get to enjoy smashing "wintermelons", sometimes with funny-sounding Chrono weapons, with the goal of loot the valuable items inside.
The event begins next Tuesday, December 14, and will continue until December 28. Be sure to read the event page for more details and all of the instructions on how to smash the Wintermelons!

Sace question about "2010 Holiday Gifts". We will get those items after maint right? What about chars from subclass separation? I plan to make subclass separation this Tuesday. Will my new char from subclass separation also get those event items?

This sounds dangerously close to the tiger event for my sanity...
The devil is in details. While "active" ppl had some issues with the tiger event, this one looks like designed for them. Another hint that strategy changed to favor again the "active" accounts, because this looks like drop-based event.

yea .. we want the NC back we know! .. This is realy disturbing .. so many events, gms giving buffs and full vit, double exp weekends, support listen to players, even some bots got banned .... what the hell is wrong with you guys!?

a question .. when a toon recieves 5 Christmas Cake Boxes and is going to be transfered to the other server , will that toon lose his 5 Christmas Cake Boxes ?
Watermelons has nothing to do with christmas or the holiday seaon. they are more of a spring or summer time fruit. Great job to picking a event out of the evnt hat and rolling with it

We're going to do the item insertion after running the account services, so you should get the items just fine. If there's a problem, please submit a ticket afterwards.
I don't remember this being a major issue in the last couple of Smash Melon type events.
Might be wise to test it on the non-honey melons to see what happens there. The Finders Keepers setting and having the owner of Melon do the pick up works. The game does give information on who gets everything which is picked up, if you have the system messages turned on. Really, you need to test it yourself to see.
I do know that it was a problem a while back with events which dropped items to be picked up. Then you needed to leave party so you got your items, or party with good people who made sure your stuff got back to you.

Winter melon has a very long keep time. Also we are not talking about watermelons... The GMs do something nice and you complain. Try and keep in mind this is an ASIAN MMO. Try an american made mmo if you want to go rescue rudolf.... ****

I know that the packages will be removed from game after 3 months but what about the cakes that come from the packages? Will they be removed after 3 months aswell?
Oha. I cant break a HoneyMelone alone since I am a SE77.
I am enforcedd to party with strong chars and to share while they get their loot alone. This event is again such a bot friendly event.

every class does the same damage ... doesnt matter if your a SE or a Destroyer or whatever. Ask your clanies to help you .. and help them to kill theirs and everyone is happy. Or yust sell the nectar and get rich and famous.

wrong, it does matter the class. BDs, tyrants, daggers any class with a high atk speed is far better than the others. even being able to solo the big ones.
I remember when was an event with eva's runes and those fire things which we killed with unequipped weapon, warcryer with their soul cry could kill it soo fast :D

Just set Party Loot to Finders Keepers and only melon summoner is allowed to pick. If you are SE 77 I think you must have a few ingame friends who could help you.
Like they use to say in the military, "choose your rate/MOS choose your fate" you chose to play a class that had a slow attack speed now you have to live with it. If your lvl 77 and have no friends to help you do the watermelons without taking any loot its time to choose new friends. Im so glad life isn't fare it would be really boring if it was.
I did large watermelons last night. Got a Top 82 life stone, few other High grade life stones, some powerful mental elixers, powerfull healing pots and A/S gems. The odd thing is I got better rewards from spoiled watermelons than from the high grade ones. The two high grade watermelons only gave me 2 S gems each.

I decided to share. Its the christmas-spirit. And I dont sell the nectar because I like to gamble. And I find indeed enough people to party in aden and to crush my honeymelons. (1 so far hehe)

Very true I use my tyrant and he can solo the large ones easily.
So... the event was too short. Dammit, the drop from mobs wereduring the hectic time of preparing for Christmas. :/ Couldn't really play much. And still got bad luck. Got the best watermelon out there and it only dropped 1 thing - BEWA. T.T Why me? :(
