You need 1 honey melon seed (can exchange at cat for 50 nectars) and you've to beat melon with chrono* weapon. That other seed provide no valuable drop, just 1 or 10 nectars (mostly 1 >.<). Party or anything else is optional, I mean does not make any impact to drop.

like in the pas if you have those highgrade pumpkuns you need atleast 3 people to crack it open one doestn make enough dmg :)
I've heard of 2 people doing it, and might have seen 1 person solo a Honey Wintermelon. I also saw 2 people fail to solo Honey Wintermelons. So for Honey ones, Chrono weapons (from Cat if you were not around to get them before) and 3 people is probably the safe route. Also, don't do it near inaccessible spots.
Would real be bad if you got a BEWS out of one and it landed on a building roof, where you can never get it down from.
The other ones can be done with regular weapons or Chrono weapons, 1 hit is all that's needed. You get 1, 10 or 20 nectar from them depending on which you get. So far, I've either gained or broken even on the regular ones. Do seem to get more Spoiled, but getting enough Rain and the occasional Large Rain, to make up the losses, and often gain a few nectar.
So far the mobs have not liked me, and I've yet to get 1 Cloned Honey Wintermelon seed. This week, you can get those from mobs. Next week, if you have nectar, can still buy from **** the Cat.
And Congratz TankJr, you have done very well from event so far. I'm still hoping.
Cant wait till server go up again so i can start doing the melons thingies. Prices this event are quite nice. Maybe i get luck this time and get something good. :D
About the normal watermelons. I tried fiew and i think chance to get 10 polen is 50/50 with chance getting 1 polen. Some how useless waste to do them. You might lose more then you use to harvest.
I'd like to say from personal experience that Sace and Co have done a great job with this event.
I have been playing since prelude and can say the rewards I got from this event on the first few days has already surpassed the total rewards I have recieved from most events in the past!! (altho that could be due to the amount of time i spend isnt a lot is most events)
I managed to gather nectar for 15 seeds from the cat, using an sws and a warrior with the fist chrono weapon I had no issues in breaking the melons.
From the 15 seeds I got one large rain honey melon, 3 rain melons and rest spoiled melons.
The rewards I have got are:
3* high grade 70 ls, 6* 67 high grade ls, 1* 76 high grade ls, 1* 84 top grade ls, 7 giant codex, 13 s-cry, 4 a-cry, 2 s-gem, 3* ews, 1*beas, 1* ewa & 9* mental elixir D grade!!!!!
also got some ghp.
Am looking forward to the rest of the week since I have a break :) hope I can get a few sa crystals !

I saw a fists orc soloing one but every single one of his attacks was critting so I'm guessing he was very high level and fully buffed.

2 players with Maracas or Unitus crack a honey one with no problem.
Maracas and Unitus do 2 hits per attack.

Crits dont do extra damage.
The orc tyrant can use fist fury, totem, passives, etc. with the Unitus to WTFincrease its att. spd. and solo the honey.
I did like 10 cloned so far, got spoiled and dropped one nectar each. I wont do anymore, only big ones, especially after reading this thread, thanks ppl.

only wish taht nectars would auto-pick up like sweet juice or blank scrolls

Question… Do you guys remember “The Great Mouse Hunt†Event? There was a trick to kill the mice faster, just had to wait till they sad a certain phrase and when hitting them it would be a fatal strike! Do the melons say something like that to make nectar succeed?
Did few more melons today, seems to me like the large rain melons, and rain melons drop fewer items for some reason, most of my good drops have come from the spoiled ones! at the moment i hope for a spoiled one rather than the large rain melons! maybe i just have been unlucky with those lol.
I tried a small experiment, bought about 29m worth of nectar from sell shops (was around 54k each i think). Using these nectars i bought the big seeds and calculated the total adena from my drops after selling to the various buyshops in town, and I came out with around 25m profit!!!
I guess this is down to a bit of luck but I would say on the whole you will be making money even if u end up buying nectar at a decent price since the rewards drop rate are so good in this event.. unless u are very unlucky or the markets get so saturated that prices hit rock bottom... even then you can always save it and sell it in the future once prices go back to normal.
Up to now I've collected lifestones mostly 67 lvl high and one top 80 a couple of a grade gems (i think 6) one ewa and one gc. I am really very very happy with this event. Every drop is valuable. I love lifestones!

What ive noticed is that like 95% of all the best drop example: BEWS/BEAS/+15 SA crystals drops from large melons....
other thing noticed is that giant codex drop % is about 50-60% in every sized / quality melons....

Large rain Wintermelons sucked didn't get anything but S gems and the Elixers. Rain Wintermelons never droped more that 2 items at a time for me S gems, S crystals a Top 82 and the BEAA. Everything else came from spoiled wintermelons.
