Or it could simply be those people who bough the sets some time ago for over 100m, and are trying to recoup some of their losses, introduced by NCsoft adding them to npc stores, by selling to people who don't bother to read the forums, or the release notes, and who are the same people who are continually asking the same questions over and over and over....

I would say it's relative what you say, If you want to play this game today, you have to get the set in order to hunt efficiently. We could also wait same way for dynasty and skip S-grade so you dont loose any money on the Drac, IC, MA sets - hey but what would be exp in - DC, Tallum? No, we can't buy these sets, they are going to loose their value "soon".
Solution? Easy, let's all exp in Plated Leather - at least something that holds it's value! Don't forget the Karmian for nukers of course.
I have bought myself a Draconic Armor in the past by parts, it cost me around 300-400Millions at that time, but in the meantime I was able to level my WC in it and my main as well. I know it would be harder to exp in the Agrade set.

Unfortunately this is the problem with MMOs in general. The players have little to no control over what the devs think is the best direction for the game to take.
Somehow, people who run things are the most clueless, the "if it ain't broke don't fix it" philosophy is completely lost on them. They'll take a game like Lineage II, and wait for it to be successful... and then as the number of players swell, and the proffit is rolling in, they decide its time for something new.

When the game is going well, don't change it... if it were in my power, we'd still be playing in C3. (maybe c4)
This logic in real life would be like buying a car that "upgrades" each year to the newest model. That sounds awesome, until the newest model is something that hurts your eyes to look at and gets 10 miles to the gallon.
Goddess of Destruction may be a neat new game, but if I'd wanted to play something other than Lineage II, I would have moved to one of NCsofts other games. Being forced to change is not my idea of a good time.

back on topic, this has been the same story for every update... we went through the same thing when B grade went to the lux shop, Avadon robes had the same issue. We'll just do now what we did then and take it in stride.

Btw im 74 atm and i'm still in plated leather set on me dagger.Its +4 str after all , and if ur not getting hit , its more dmg increase than draco set ;) .Ppl buy what they think will be efficent for them. I've already bought both my draco and dyn set , but vs the proper mobs , i could very well stay with PL if i can 1-shot them with backstab.
Also , H5 may go live in a week , or 4 weeks.Its true that some ppl just cant w8 that long , and some of them find 70m spent for A set a good investment(not cash-wise tho ofc).
Ultimately , you cant tell ppl what to do or buy.Gullable ppl are always around , and they are the ppl that help the market run around as it does now.

I see no problem here. Can you buy A sets for 25kk now? No? Ok, I go sell at whatever price I consider normal and people will buy it. It's not my responsibility to inform them that they can buy it twice cheaper in several weeks. If they cared so much, they already know future prices.

I used to sell Homu Acu up until the evening of update day when it went to regular shops and people were buying it. I was C grade toon and I made money on it.
Back in my day, there was no vitality and I was leveling in Enchanted Valley at 63 with Full Plate armor and a shadow weapon, because shadow weapons were the only fake thing. Common items weren't fathomed yet. :<...we should go back to the old times.

For example, it makes sense FOR SOME PEOPLE to wait a few weeks for AA to go 4:1 to put an SA on an S84 weapon. Not everybody will wait though. For some people, having use of an SAed weapon for these few weeks is worth the 1 billion extra cost.

You seem unable to comprehend, much less accept that different people have different priorities than you.
Hehe, I can easily skip C and B grades on subs for example cause of fast leveling so never had those armors cause it's waste of adena. Prices on armors sometimes I see are really set by morons looking for other morons who buy it...
There are more - dwarves sitting and buying mats in funny prices, much less prices than NPC can give you for that item. For example Orihalcum 10, 15 k - NPC buys for 19k... Can someone explain me wtf they are thinking? :D
And those aurabird transforms (looks like GCM), gemstone for jewerly (looks like Gem S) and sometimes even earrings looks like Zaken's earring - player must be really blind and stupid to buy without check what is this :\
And those green wizard hats from NPC which are nothing - in some shops set by players for 100kk and then next char of the same player in shop close - 20 or 50kk less price!

I wouldn't buy it right now, but it's true some ppl don't want to wait. In fact, a lot of ppl are xping subs right now because they feel the 78+ xp change in H5 makes it silly to level their mains atm (double xp weekend excluded of course).
On a brighter note, I sold off my A and S grade and purchased some rather cheap dyn sets for my subs (looking ahead to H5 part 4 lol).

Fine. But if you want a real life equivalent (just cause I happened to have this conversation with a friend) .. Computer upgrades. OP says don't buy a graphics card update now, in some random time in the near future an epicwin graphics card will get released that you 'll want to get (aka HD6990) and if you don't get that one, the card you want to get now (HD 6970) will be insta-cheaper. Great. My point is that some people kinda need (want) a graphics card today, they want to game today, what they have doesn't cover their needs so not gaming for a few months till that graphics card get released might make financial sense but realistically if he needs one now he has to buy what's available and pay whatever is the current price.
