Infraction System
Infractions are the penalty that a person gets if they make a post or forum action that breaks the Official Forum Rules (http://boards.lineage2.com/announcement.php?f=137). The infraction system is point-based. Minor forum violations get a smaller number of infraction points than major forum violations. If you receive an infraction, you will receive a private message explaining what post was in violation, what forum rule it broke, and how many points you are receiving for that violation. Each separate infraction given has its own expiration date, which may differ from others. If a player accrues over a certain number of infraction points, they are automatically banned from the forums until some of the points expire. Details of how many points create an automatic ban are confidential.
Basically, good behavior is encouraged and bad behavior will be punished. Follow the forum rules (http://boards.lineage2.com/announcement.php?f=137) and all will be well. :)
Player's Forum Name
Players can request a one-time message board name change. The following requirements will apply to this change:
One message board name change per account.
Accounts with official message board warnings/violations on record may not be changed.
The requested board name is not already in use.
The requested board name must be appropriate.
To find out if a desired name is available, use the 'Search Members' function on the right side of the Members List (http://boards.lineage2.com/memberlist.php) page. If you wish to change your forum name, you may PM the Community Manager.
Join Date and Post Count:
The "Join Date" beneath a players name and avatar is the date that they joined the forums, not the date that they joined the game. "Posts" is the amount of posts you've made since you joined the forums.
