After a long break I decided to resub to Lineage a couple of nights ago. Definitely a move I don't regret. There's just something about this game that keeps me coming back. Tried other mmorpgs. but none could capture the same feeling as L2 did for me. It's amazing how the mind wanders when you grind for hours on end. I love it!
Thinking if I should bother leveling up a SE for some support, I mean I have one that is level 45, but kinda useless since I am at 65 now. Gonna go back and grind out a bit more exp, I figure just another hour and I'll get some sleep. I don't want this hour to turn into 5 hours like the last lol.
Looking forward to making some friends in the game ( hopefully) and perhaps someday joining a clan. Seemed a little strange logging into the game and Erica server was gone. Only two servers now :(
P.S I forgot to ask, is it at all possible to solo level a Shillien Elder? Been out of the game so long, so much seems to of changed
by solo, do you mean with additional box support?
:) you do have the ability to pop inquisitor and nuke, but it helps if you have someone to recharge you :)
also, i have heard good things about using Wolves.
but for the most part, you should focus on finding a friend with a polearming sub class, or main class and grind up that way.

Yup sorry I meant with the additional box support :)

Let me know when you find a class that can recharge a recharger.
Leveling an SE from 45 isn't that difficult using Inquisitor. Some mobs/areas seem to drop mana herbs more often than others...don't know if that's true or not, just seemed to be when I would solo my SE. Fields of Massacre, Cemetary and Valley of Saints seemed to drop mana herbs at pretty good intervals to keep me going without having to rest much.
If you see a Superior Herb of Mana, try to use up as much mana as possible before picking that one up before it vanishes.
i'm sorry, i had come to understand that as long as you don't get the recharge skill, you can be recharged still.
however, i have not tried this myself, people seemed pretty adamant about it.

Thanks everyone for the replies. Tried out this inquisitor skill today. It's awesome. First time trying it and I really don't mind leveling this way :) Getting close to 50 with the SE :D
I would not waste my time coming back to the game at this late stage. GOD update is going to change everything and what you do in high 5 will be for nothing.

While GoD is going to change things, let them determine for themselves if it's worth it. Some people look for different things than you.

Dont listen to this :p
We dont even have proper details on GOD update - its not on korea servers yet nor are korea PTS patch notes out (as far as I know). Its gunna be a big change for 85+ for sure ya but I cant seem them making all skills and everything before 85 meaningless (eg: keep a bunch of unique class skills, percent of overenchant on traded ones go to new skill, etc). Maybe 10-12 months away for us yet.
Whatever the case these guys know how to make a good mmo so I have confidence, and is just another fresh update/chronicle to look forward to (albeit a big one for when ppl get LV86), I mean cmon we get so many and it keeps us busy learning all the new stuff n changes. Lineage is awesomes.
And np starting/continuing from lower level now - easier and easier to get those levels, theyve slowly adjusted the curve (thru various things) to keep it fair enuff for new players - afterall why wouldnt they want to attract new players? Or make it feasible to make a new character.

I appreciate your comment. I really feel I am not wasting my time coming back. I play to enjoy and just cruise along, the levels come when they come :D
While GoD will bring some massive changes to the game, I definitely can't see myself quitting the game, and I definitely don't see it too late to start again :D. There's just nothing else like Lineage out there and never probably will be again. I had debated just waiting for Tera, but that game is really not my cuppa tea.
Isn't the GoD update really really far away though?

i like forest of mirrors with my EE (undead skills), as they drop a lot of herbs to help out.
