I opened those before, but was just about to cancel clan leader delegation (you know, the clan defense against automated GMs) and server got down without countdown, even tho there were like 10-12 min left of the announced 15...

No, I just didn't open the all atm I have 70 xmass cakes on my another account:) I have 3 accounts on these I have about 200-300 revita pop and valentine cakes too just on Naia server where I play:)
Still I have some revita pops what i got about 2-3 years ago too:)

You are very wrong my friend i lost 100 xmas cakes because the annaouncement said maintenance was planed for 1:00 pm GMT, not 12:45. This is a business, we pay real money and NCsoft should be acurate to what they say and do.
They should have removed them a week after the original event like they do with most other event items. Instead ncsoft tried to be nice and give you 2.5 months to use them up. you got greedy, tried to wait until the last minute to use/sell them and you got shafted. its your fault for not using them up in a timely manner.

Well you have to very stupid(no offense tho) to be keeping such things for last minute. Internet may come down or electricity or anything else and you would have lost em.

We had PLENTY of warnings.... it was stated REPEATEDLY throughout the 3 months... it was mentioned over and over again in numerous threads INCLUDING the first one..
Your loss.... your fault..... accept it... your whining will not be tolerated...

i agree NC is stupid, but seriously why wait till the last 15 minute to open something youve been told to open for the past months? what if the server crashed or needed to be taken down early for emergency?
a good rule is never do anything important on tuesdays. sometimes there is problems before or after maint. that will screw u.
i've personally got 50 cakes and basically no candles left myself...
but after the announcement... before march rolled around... i made sure every box was opened for the simple fact that 3 months was growing close.. and anyone with a sound brain in their head would prepare for it.. specially with ncsofts track record..
