No. MMO without updates wouldn't survive long. This is the reason blizzard or any other mmo developer never opened nor never will open vanila/tbc/wotlk or any previous update servers.
Yes.Since HB update,i saw more and more things in game a legit player cant make in current update running,bots and bots and more bots so game became ''ghost'' game and players existed only inside oly and the famous full 9man party became the ticket of existing in game(with most of supports auto boxed).
Since devs couldnt develop game from the point the old devs left it,id rather play the old one this was the game i loved,with some events and small updates people would stay.For sure,they wont stay in GOD.
totally agree, and i remember that times when every class has his own unique skills, now almost every dd/tank have rush/rush impact,blunt mastery, dwarfs with backstab,dagger mastery? wtf!!?? th was nice beacause of dash, now every dagguer have shadow step to get closer to enemy,and my favourite part.. kamaels.. they are clearly overpowered i have seen many kamaels 1vs9 killing all with just spamming rush impact.... and every unique things that every class still have, will be lost in Goddes of Destruction.. so i hope that koreans will leave alll of their 20 servers leaving to ncsoft no other choice than cancel the GoD project...

They havent even done a pts in korea yet. you dont have to do 4th class change. you dont have to trade in skills you dont want to. if GoD happened tomorrow, the only thing that would change for you is your ability to do oly. your character can continue as it currently is. quit your *****ing until you see some official notes and stop relying on gossip and video snippets.

what are you basing this on? it seems to me that you are making some big assumptions on what skills can be traded in and what the power of the new skills are without the benefit of actual information. it seems pretty obvious that not all skills will be upgraded by all players. no bd is gonna trade in dance of shadow for that corny scarecrow transform. what skills would other enchanters trade in to get that skill? there is no comparable skill they could trade in. bottom line is that you have a choice on these skills. no one will force you to go 4th class. no one will force you to trade in skills if the old ones provide you with an advantage. if the new skills are superior, then you undoubtable trade them up. The arguement that everyone will be the same is pretty stupid imo.

Common logic and basic expirience of game.
4th grade spells,much stronger than 2th/3th,since thats how it goes,what kind of nuker i will be if i keep my 2th spellskills,would be if i use now 1th grade spells.
2th/3th debuffs/mental land when they want since ages,you think they are going make classes weaker so i can do them?or my only choice will be the 4th debuff(if we assume it lands..)
As for enchanter's shadow dance,is too early to use it as an example of trade or not.You dont know if new mobs see through shadow dance and you dont know if you will ever need to visit again areas that this dance was a must(like go klein for valakas :P )
interlude will be fun to ppl till they get max lvl , and after 1-2 month they will quit since there is nothing more to do , and no new updates expected , just look at aion , after 2 months you are max lvl and at 3rd month you quit bcoz there is nothing more to do
about GoD stop crying , to give example with the current skills , its like if SE want to learn improved magic , the se have to lose the empower skill , so what you prefer to keep ur current empower skill or trade it for imp magic (emp+m.barrier , cost less mp and is 40 min buff )

Will every 4rd class healer get an imp magic replacement buff then?
Actually I'm worried about the "'enchanter" class that is supposed to replace (and thus be stronger than) the 3 boxed party enchanters now. Seems to be the ultimate enchanter box everyone will be coerced to have (and gl for live enchanters to compete with that).
They can make manor updates for interlude like: dynasty armor,Territory Wars,atribute for armors and weapons... there are a lots of good things that they currently made, but the "heart" of the game has changed too much.. sure its just my opinion others would love the new L2 i don't.
oh my if you wanna play on c4 open a l2j on your machine and be happy.
actually i thinking about tempraly leave global and go play on any private, till they release GoD.. if i am wrong and that update don't kill the game completely,i'll back, if not, i'll be very hapy on my "l2j private witch c4"

wrong example imo as that's a skill which got improved only on those classes that already had an emp skill before whereas in GoD every class arch type will get the same regardless if they had an old version of it or not before..
huge difference..
also as an offensive & quite aggressive (DD style) SwM I do not want to be limited to certain weapon types or be regarded as a buffpet or the like which is what will happen in GoD (based on current information)..
something to think about here is that every lvl85+ player gets a FREE change of main class to pick w/e 4th Awakaned class they want.. with all the nerfs/abuse coming up for the so called Enchanter class how many support chars you think will be left eh.. why would an un appreciated PP/BD/SWS/OL etc. stay as Enchanter when they get a free card out of jail to become say a 4th class Tank or DD or w/e they want..
those that have play support chars to 85+ have done so cause they love their char as it is and not to get marganilized by a dev team that has no clue about their own player base wishes.

No box char will ever be competition to me.. box chars are passive unless on 3rd party progs ofc.. versus live support are active & reactive.
I do get your point thou which is why I think this will be the end of any live support as why stick playing a class that never get any appreciation when you get a free class transfer..
ppl who think this going to 8 arch types will resolve anything of the current finding active support issue is under estimating the underlying problems.

Actually the main thing that plagued C4 were the Chinese raid boss farmers (lot's of pvp/pk wars with them though) and the introduction of L2Control (predecessor of zRanger) besides that it was quite nice yes..
the concept of spam CP macro's was then still quite new and well today there's a lot more pvp prog users as zRanger is kind of the norm now when being part of end game pvp..
aka C4 more human skill versus todays programing skill
I did enjoy my C5 days quite a bit -- yes I'd play.
But I also enjoy things the way they are now. I predict that I will like old L2 compared to what happens in GoD... as significant change in any MMO is scary business.
