You can 'awaken' after you complete the awakening quest(s) at lvl 85

After awakening, you will unlock the level limit to lvl 99

After awakening, you can unlock the level limit of *one* subclass to lvl 99
The unlocked subclass may enjoy some shared skills with the main class (I think it means both main and sub gets benefit from each other)

You can change subclass on-the-fly from the status menu without needing to talk to NPC (not sure if you need to be awakened)

Introducing new Racial abilities
The following are all summaries, no actual numbers are available:

Human
- increased: patk, matk, pdef, mdef, accuracy, crit dmg reduction, hp/mp recovery

Elf
- Increased: water attack/def, crit rate, magic crit rate, atk speed, mp recovery, mental attack resistance, bsoe (O.o), increased run speed when not in combat

Dark elf
- Increased: wind attack/def, crit dmg, abilities increased at night (all stats??), mental resistance, vr, auto rez (perma salvation without the %?)

Orcs
- Increase: stun/bleed resistance (maybe more, it says body resistance so I assume it's physical debuff related), hp recovery, fire attack, (something about all attack and all defense with fire element), short invincibility when near death.

Dorfs
- Increase: pdef, skill damage, earth atk/def, stun/bleed resist (as as orc), reflect damage, hp/mp recovery, debuff surrounding enemies

Kamael
- Increase: pvp strength, dark attack/def, resistance to fear/silence, reduce mp consumption, magic barrier (i guess better magic defense...), 2 transforms

New Abilities
After certain requirements are met you can learn new rare skills

The following have been spotted in videos:
- Absorb damage incurred to teammates within range
- rushing to area and initiating an aoe attack
- illusions (the dagger skill that summons illusions to help attack)
- some skill that increases attack strength greatly
- toggle heal that heals nearby teammates and does holy damage to surrounding enemies
- reverse fear [i made up the name :P] draws monsters to a spot.

any infos about craft/spoil?
do you have to change class get the 99 unlock?
because i'm not sure i want to change my class, but 85/99 is a big difference.
brb losing all my skills when i lvl past 86
wish they would be less vague about weather or not we get to keep those skills...
the tech demo didn't help much since it was just a Tech demo, and the character used was not an existing character Awakening...

are they even going to post a tech demo! like good quality video lol?
That info has been posted before, so its not new information. without numbers/stats, it is pretty useless. what we really need is information on what old skills can be traded in for new skills and what the stats on the new skills are. show me that and I will be impressed.

No, that article is from January. You don't have to Awaken/change to one of the 8 unified classes to get to lvl 99. But you must be aware that the monsters in the lvl 85+ hunting grounds will be designed for Awakened characters. As a Dominator you might be able to tag along and still contribute usefull buffs (debuffs probably won't land), but an un-Awakened damage dealer like a Tyrant will not be viable in the new and reworked areas.

As BoundInPleasure has pointed out elsewhere, the development goes at present towards pacifying the community by letting people keep their old skills. In the description of the Is Enchanter (http://lineage2.plaync.co.kr/promotion/newp/list), dated March 9, it says "[he] owns the buffs of the Hierophant and the Warcryer as well as the abilities [not "skills"] of Dancer and Singer." This is all a bit like in the good old days of the Cold War when hordes of analysts were trying to interprete every hickup of the Central Committee typist :D

In a few months we will know more. No need to get excited now :)
